Yip. There is another post on it too! I am going to try it for 6 weeks and see how it goes. x

Agreed! I could do the 5:2, and i think that's what i would go with. Pick the 2 days i know i would be able to fast easily and just eat normally the other 5. I could maybe do the intermittent thing but i think that would be more difficult. :) AND i doubt i could fast for 4 days in a row without collapsing lol

It was VERY interesting! I think i may consider adopting this approach for 6 weeks and see what difference it makes to my life. I am not sure if the intermittent fasting or the 5:2 is a better approach. I can see why it would possibly be a appetite suppressant on the feed days, as i know if i restrict my calories…

Nope! I am the same. 5'2" with short legs that are BIG! They would be ok if i could stretch them out another 6 inches or so!! I was told once that if i worked really really hard i could get my legs looking good, but it would be the last part of me that would transform!! I don't wear skirts, dresses or shorts either and…

I have a set of Tanita Inner scan scales. Like others have said they have to be used on a hard even floor. I place mine on 1 floor tile and they always have an accurate reading :) I however am trying to stop myself from weighing too often... it does me no good and i end up worrying lots about it. I now weigh 1 - 2 times a…

I love my scale! I am really bad for overestimating my portions, especially on things like peanut butter, nuts, seeds and other high calorie foods. It's also good for showing you what a portion should really be :) I would definitely recommend one. x

I'm reading the 50 shades of grey trilogy and other romantic type dribble lol Almost finished and then may move onto something a bit more "adult" ;)

Any similar shorties to me? Height: 5'2" CW: 134 lbs GW: 120 lbs Body fat %: 29% Add me as a friend. Need some more support to stay on track as every little thing I do wrong adds extra pounds instantly!!! Xx

Sorry to hear you are struggling :( I suffered from bulimia for years.... I am now apparently "cured" as i don't purge anymore! However i don't think the disordered way of eating ever leaves you! I am similar to you in that my body refuses exercises too! I muscles just don't seem to want to function at all! I do try to…

Yes i do tend to yoyo... the main reason is that in the past i have eaten 1000 cals a day to lose weight but once i reach my goal and increase my cals to maintenacne of 1400 i gain!! 1000 cals per day is not sustainable forever, so its a vicious circle! My BMR is definately closer to yarwell's estimate of 1264! Keeping in…

Hmmm the thing is, with the 1200 i tend not to lose at all, unless i go crazy at the gym, which i obviously can't anymore! The only other option is to reduce calories to 1000, however that is not sustainable for any length of time! It's very catch 22! :(
-
Thank you! This is great! Now i know why i'm not losing and what i need to do! My BMR is just over 1200, and my TDEE at 1400! Very little space for a good deficit! lol Very informative tho :) x
-
Thank you. This is very helpful. I think i will increase my cals to my BMR and make an effort to lift heavier and see what changes there are. It's nice to see that you can still have treats and eat normal food :)
-
I don't think you are doing anything wrong! Do you eat anything before or after your gym session? Maybe you should ask your doctor, just in case. I think if you are new to the gym it might be just your body adjusting, it might get better as you get fitter :) I get the same but i have a few health problems so i could…

WOW some of these pics are amazing!! How did you do it? Just strength training? What about cals and diet? Did you have to eat consistently clean to achieve this? I need to figure out how this can work for me! :) Advice much appreciated. Thanks..

Yup this is me!! I weigh 130lbs but have 30% body fat!! I don't look obese, but my whole body wobbles :( I have approx 1.5" of fat on my thighs before i can feel any muscle! :( I think years of restrictive dieting has caused me to lose muscle mass and now i am left with a massive amount of excess fat! I have been trying to…

I am 5'2" and am happiest around 115-120. My current goal is 120, but i am small framed, pear shaped and tend to be skinny fat regardless of how much weight training i do! There are ways to test your frame size. Apparently the easiest way is to put your fingers round your opposite wrist over the bones. If your thumb and…

I didn't lose! I upped mine for a month and gained 5 lbs, put them back down to around 1300 and i'm losing again!! I am pretty small tho, only 5'2", weigh 132 lbs and have a desk job, so my BMR is low and so is my TDEE apart from on training days! Everyone is different i guess!! x
