  • What wonderful news to wake to! Congratulations!
  • I agree! Baby will be in our room for quite a while.
  • I have dealt w/ anxiety too, especially in pregnancy w/ my 9th. Low iron is another sign of anxiety.
  • I still have lingering sinus, snot stuff, but taking elderberry has really helped. Allergies are pretty much gone, thank goodness. The juniper have stopped their pollinating so I can get outside again and walk, which is all the exercise I can muster. I am so happy you are enjoying the detergent, it is awesome and such a…
  • BTDT on the throw up, it is horrible. Bake chicken, oven fried chicken, baked chicken breast, then put in salad, bread chicken breast then bake w/ olive oil on the pan, chicken soup.
  • You are very welcome! I am happy I could help. And thanks on my weight.
  • I never really noticed much of anything until 6ish weeks along.
  • I get them, I take calcium and magnesium supplement.
  • I weighed in today and lost 2 lbs, not sure how that is possible, but not unhappy at all, LOL. Also, it rained! We haven't had much of any precipitation in over 60 days.
  • Amen! This is absolutely how it should be! My babies have never been put on a warmer, are born in water, stay on my chest the whole time w/ a towel on top, never wiped off and have never had warmth issues. Imagine birth 300 years ago, how did babies keep warm, in freezing home after birth They were placed on the mother's…
  • My baby just started hiccuping today. I have been patiently waiting.
  • Also dehydration in pregnancy can cause headaches. A very cold coke can also help a headache.
  • Your body is not expected to make any "progress" at this point in your pregnancy, especially a first pregnancy. Progress is each day that passes you get closer to baby deciding to come, increasing braxton hicks contractions is progress, more baby hiccups is progress, time is progress.
  • Oh goodness! What about shopping online, Carter's, etc for a few things. Then after baby arrives buy what you really need.
  • Good advice. As to soreness, are you sore or is there cracking and/or bleeding. When latching tickle her lower lip w/ your breast. When she opens her mouth wide, pull her into your breast to latch.
  • You can refuse to be checked. It serves no purpose and tells you little of when baby will arrive. You can be long and closed and deliver in hours or effaced a lot and already dilated and baby isn't ready for weeks.
  • The cure is sun, lots of sun and nurse, nurse, nurse. Offer every hour today. If she falls asleep, jiggle her, switch sides, nurse her stripped down, rub her feet each time she stops suckling.
  • In addition her birth weight was 8lbs 3oz. So in ounces that is 131 oz, w/ a norm, before concern, of 10% weight loss, which is 13. 1 oz. A 118 oz would be lowest w/ 10%, that is 7lbs 3oz. At this point there is no concern and she and you are exhibiting completely normal newborn behavior and numbers.
  • Exactly. You don't need 20 newborn, small onesies, etc.
  • That is poor advice. A baby 4 days old does not need 2 oz of milk, that is standard for bottle feeding, not breast feeding. Jaundice is entirely normal, keep nursing and add sunning in a window. She probably has breast milk jaundice which is different and not a concern, beyond frequent nursings and sun in window. Also,…
  • I understand! I love organizing, but w/ baby stuff it is overwhelming. I got so much w/ my first babies, twins. More than I could ever use. For myself I put into drawers the newborn stuff, then I would hang the other sizes or put them in labeled bins on the shelves or under the crib, if you are doing one. If you plan on…
  • Actually they don't need much! What do you have that needs organization and I could help. Do you mea like sheets, blankets, diapers, etc?
  • I know! We could not go outside. We lost power from 2-9pm.
  • I did WW to go from 274-210, then was expecting again. After baby I did WW again to go from 235-210, then was expecting again. After baby I used WW to go fro 245-210, then felt stuck, like WW wasn't for me any more. I was bored, I felt I grew from WW. So I came here. I went from 205-175 here over the summer. I have also…
  • Oh goodness! I can relate, although I need to have everything figured and planned, labor I prefer it to happen w/o me knowing ahead. I would get too worked up w/ anxiety otherwise. I look forward to labor, I am getting tired of being pregnant actually, but a part of me worries over the pain too. Try to remember it will be…
  • Julie I am so sorry. I will be praying for you and your family. Exercise this week was not very good. I am still recovering from the cold I had which I think turned to a sinus infection which I am now recovering from that. I had a horrendous headache Friday and Saturday. I walked Monday 30 minutes Tuesday 30 minutes…
  • Welcome Kayla and all the other new mamas! I am expecting in June too.
  • You rock! She is delicious!
  • I have almost always known baby's gender by 20 weeks, instinct. I had one I had no gut feeling. So w/ the ones I have had a feeling, I was right 9 out of 10. I don't know about the chinese thing, I have only looked at it a few times that I recall.
  • Well the Other Mother's in the middle on town off San Mateo is terrible. I just looked up Sunny Bright which is on 5300 Sequoia RD NW.
