Nothing. Ever. I will find a place to go nude and show off all the time ;D

If yoga is acceptable, I like sun salutations done quickly with some challenging holds in each set. If you are not familiar with yoga, here's a step-by-step on the basic sun salutation: http://yoga.about.com/od/yogasequences/ss/sunsalutesteps.htm Here's some additions: 1. During the first sun salutation, hold plank (#5 in…

I'm having the same issue. I lost a lot of weight quickly - more than just the baby, fluids, ect... but have been really stuck in the past couple months. My baby is 6 months old. I have real problems running a big calorie deficit including too little fat in my milk supply and all-day dizziness. As a PP said, I'm trying to…

Agree 100%! I had my cals at 1600 (while breastfeeding and working out) and was actually gaining weight! I upped my calsto 2000+ and I am slowly losing weight and gaining muscles. I think it is important to stress that the same thing does not work for everyone and you have to find your own path to health.

Woohoo! Congrats.

9/1: C25K Week 1, Run 3: 30 minutes walking/jogging intervals 9/2: 41 minutes circuit training (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/jnl-on-the-go-episode-3.html) Woohoo!

I think we all feel that way at times. I would like to lose about 10lbs. Compared to people I live near and work with, I am usually one of the thinner people. I live in one of the *fat* states. This week my regular exercise class was invaded by 6 20-year-old dance majors from the local university. The mirrors in the room…

Check with your doc. I have perpetually low iron. I hang out right around 11.5. I take a multi-vitamin (prenatal right now because I am breastfeeding) and then a slow release iron (like Slow Fe). I take one in the AM and one in the PM. If you do supplement iron, make sure to eat a lot of fiber too!

I'm not 100% sure what my final goal weight is. I know where I've looked good in the past, but I think I can do better. So...I'm giving myself little gifts as I hit milestones. For sticking to my diet this week and exercising all 7 days, it is a new HR monitor! Only 3 days to go! When I am smoking hot, I think a trip to…

Veggie scrambles! Every Sunday I dice a green pepper and an onion and chop broccoli into florets for a quick breakfast. Measurements on the veggies are up to you. It takes me longer to eat all of this then it does to cook. Here's my quick routine: 1. Fry pan on the stove on medium heat. 2. Pull ingredients out of fridge &…

Nice work! Congratulations. I've enjoyed it the few times I've done it. I use it when I can't get to a class at the gym.

I have 2 (5 months and 20 months). My exercise is either early AM or in the evening with the help of my husband. I work in sales and I am usually driving during lunch. If I workout in the morning, I get up around 4AM, feed the baby, and then start my workout. If I don't feed her, she always seems to get hungry during my…

As PP said, it may help to adjust your carb/protein ratio. I have a really hard time with that. I started just trying to reduce my sugar intake and then lowering carbs in general is the next step. I also notice on most days you have most of your foods grouped into two meals (lunch and dinner). I'm not sure if that is just…

Good morning! I'm 31 and have about 20 lbs to lose. I have a 5 month old that I am exclusively breastfeeding so my calorie intake is a little higher. I do try to run a 300-500 calorie deficit per day. Any lower and I start passing out because of the breastfeeding. I workout 5-6 days per week including running, circuit…

I eat a ton. I'm breastfeeding and I work out at least 6 days a week. My average calorie intake is probably about 1800-2000 calories. I'm still losing weight - just slowly :)

Asthma can be a BIG motivation killer. I really struggle with mine in the summer months. One thing I've found is helpful is to change my goals when my asthma is bad to ensure I don't lose motivation. October through May I can easily run 30+ minutes. June through September I have to run 5 minute intervals. When my asthma is…

A couple things PPs have said that really help me: - Putting the alarm clock far away. Then, you have to get out of bed to turn it off. Once you are out of bed the hardest part is done! - Prepping clothes, lunches, and even my water bottle the night before. The less I have to do in the morning the easier it is for me to…

I essentially started this yesterday so August 1 will be Day 3. I do make some modifications though including buying regular grocery store meat instead of insisting on the free-range, grain-fed stuff (I know it is better but I am broke!) and I will have the occassional diet soda (maybe 2, 12oz per week). If you'll accept…

For miles, do most people count only exercise miles or do you count all walking (like to and from work?). For my first month, I'm only going to count exercise miles and set my goal at 36 miles. 3 miles per workout, 3 days per week is all my kids can handle in the stroller. I use my other workouts to get away from my kids…

I haven't found a nursing sports bra. There are some nursing bras that look more like sports bras (one piece, no cups, racer back) but for me they don't provide enough support for tough workouts (especially running). I've been using a regular sports bra just when working out. One caution if you are just starting to wear a…

Agree with many of the PPs who said keep the cals. In general, I love this discussion and it is very motivational for me. I am exclusively breastfeeding a 4.5 month old. Some days I long to have a little more freedom but y'all are right...it is a very special time for me and my baby and it will be over before I know it.…

I'm from Michigan and have been losing weight for other people's weddings! Add me if you like!

I'm in! Current weight: 161 lbs 10 week goals: - 156 lbs (I'm breastfeeding and to keep up milk supply my weight loss has to be really slow) - Work up to WillPower & Grace three times per week (currently only at once per week because my muscles are too sore to go again!) - Eat clean. Today I'm basicaly starting Paleo. I'm…

I set MFP to maintenance and then eat back my exercise calories. I typically eat 2000-2200 calories per day. I use BF as my calorie deficit and have lost on average 1lbs per week since my baby was 6 weeks old. I don't count the first 6 weeks because I dropped fluid weight and other weight so fast. I have read several…

I weigh myself every morning actually because of weight fluctuations. I am breastfeeding and very sensitive to water retention due to sodium intake. I started weighing myself once per week but if I happened to do it on a "bad" day, I was getting very discouraged. Weighing myself every day lets me see my general trend…

The easiest way for me to get some motivation back is to start taking an exercise class I enjoy. Yoga, water aerobics, indoor cycling...anything really. I pick a time when I know I have higher energy (mornings are good for me, nights are not). I prefer smaller classes because you get a chance to know the people who come to…

If you have had bloodwork done and your iron is normal than you should be ok. I think alot of it is just genetics anyway. I have slightly low iron (I'm like .5 from where I need to be) and it takes me two iron supplements and an iron rich diet to just get to normal.

I agree with this! I have some of Jillian's other DVDs and I frequently yell at her while working out. I feel frickin' awesome after though!

Don't eat less than 1800 cals while breastfeeding. At least until your baby is over 3 months old. From there you can start decreasing it by 100 cals at a time to see how you feel. Your baby and your body need you to eat! Before I knew this, I was eating 1600 calories, working out 6 days a week, and breastfeeding. I was…

Pizza. First because it is bad for me and second because I had to give up dairy while I'm breastfeeding. My daughter has some food intolerances with dairy being the hardest one for me to give up! I've had vegan pizza but I'm not even counting that because it is so different. It is more like flatbread with veggies. I want…
