...in November we did do push ups daily. most of us found that we could do more (challenging our bodies to their fullest) if we alternated days. it IS a good idea rest the muscles and only work them every other day. SO...if you are doing 40 per day daily, i would up it to 60 or 80 every other day to get the most of your…

wanted to encourage you to take monthly photos. take them today, or this weekend. i would LOVE to see the progress we are all making! month to month you may not see much of a change...but when you start looking at 2, 3 or 6 months...wow! consistent effort DOES pay off! cheering you ALL on! Jane

keep plugging away at the challenge! your body WILL respond to the new movement. you will be stronger, leaner and your metabolism will increase... making weight loss easier and more consistent. cheering you ALL on! Jane

i don't...i personally don't add them to my routine/exercise calories. i count them as bonus. ...and, the scales moved in November for me. not easy to get to do since i am so close to my goal weight and i'm in my goal pant size.

i have found that if i do 10 or 20 at a time, i can do them while i am fixing a meal/after going potty/before i walk out the door to go somewhere. fewer amounts consistently does work. after you get your balance with the squats, you could do them while soothing your new baby. you and your family will live a healthier…

cheering you all on!! can't wait to see where we all are in 31 days. do what you can for your body/fitness level. you CAN do it, just like the push ups from November! Cheering you ALL on! Jane

it's hard to see yourself as others see you. i am thankful for my camera to keep my mind where the scales are. be kind to yourself....just like you would a child or a friend who was going through a rough time in life. kindness matters!

awesome work!!! i know this feeling...i was a size 16/18 when we got married. today i am wearing 10's and can get into some 8's  the problem i am having is keeping my wedding band on!

i am an emotional eater. pretty much done with it, but it will always be something that i battle (just like an alcoholic or drug attic has to fight the urge to drink/use.) for me, when i realized my eating was an addiction and that when i got stressed, lonely, happy, sad....i was able to work on my emotional eating. i did…

Push Ups: they can be done against the wall, on a resistance ball, girly type, boy push ups. What ever works for YOU! Squats: if you can't go to a full squat, then just do as far as your knees/legs will allow. you get up and down from a chair daily...you CAN do this. i KNOW you can. Cheering you ALL on!!!!

mine was 230. i had almond milk, coffee, Shakeology and ice blended to a yummy coffee-GOOD-for-me breakfast to jump start my busy day. veggies, fruits, almonds and coffee all in one. yummmy! Jane

LOVE this topic. i chose health. to me, health means eating a well balanced, colorful eating plan. colorful fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean meats, no processed foods (foods out of bags and boxes...except brown pasta and rice). i've given up the sodas, sugar free and fat free foods. again, colorful and well balanced.…

don't you LOVE that?!? i'm not concerned with the scales near as much as i am the measuring tape.

i do like the mirror these days. we have been working on my photo hard drive (backing up all my photos and organizing) Husband has shown me pictures from the past years. wow! i can't believe the difference. i'm thankful that i have his support. he has also nicknamed me Arnold...as in the govenator of California. i laugh…

i AM worthy of being healthy. and i NEED to take care of my temple so that i can finish well.

good info! or...if you aren't concerned with style. get a pair of exercise shorts (spandex, tighter fitting) and a good (well fitting) exercise tank...use that as your swim suit. might be cheaper and give you more coverage. i have used a tennis skirt and bathing suit top for years. looking forward to wearing a real suit…

lots to consider: eating out (even eating low cal out, it may have lots of sodium) eating high sodium foods. are you eating enough calories? are your workouts consistent from week to week? consistent eating, variety in your eating program and consistent exercise will pay off. consider measuring yourself and only doing it…

ice. are you walking on concrete or pavement? attempt to walk on a track or grass surface....MUCH easier on the knees. also, doing strenght training for your legs will help to protect all your joints from damage and pain. squats and leg lifts are just two of the many awesome exercising for strengthening your legs. if the…

for me, until i was willing to admit that food is my addiction i was not able to get my head and heart in the game where it needed to be for a healthy lifestyle. my addiction is a heart issue. something i couldn't do alone. i had to get help. my prayer is that you not walk this road alone. that you don't seek help just…

i would love a Bodybug....saving up for it, but have other things that have to be purchased first. when i do, i would LOVE to share my progress. (i'm praying that santa brings me one...but i'm thinking i may be getting a kayak for my kayak-a-lon)

YES!!! and if you use sugar in the raw instead of white sugar, it does not spike your blood sugars the same as the white. i am ALL about apple crisp this year. add some fresh cranberries to give it an awesome taste and color.

AWESOME plan! moderation in eating and continued exercising is the key to not running your progress off into the ditch. i LIKE the way you think! if we continue to do the same thing, we will continue to get the same results. i personally like the results i have gotten this past year. WHY would i run a year off in the ditch…

going on a RC cruise? we did in October. they offered an hour long presentation. the first half was interesting and encouraging. the second half was on the detox that works from the outside in...through a bath tub soak that would be absorbed through the skin, and cause a hormone detox from the liver. claiming to detox the…

i do believe that fat typically takes up 18% more room than fat. so while you are not losing, you will lose many inches when you are turning muscle into fat. i know i'm one of those people that doesn't care what the scales say, as long as i am somewhere around a size 8 or 10. that is where my body is happy, healthy and…

AWESOME!!!! you kick that cancer in the behiney! SOOOO proud of you. as an asthma and arthritis patient, i understand the thrill of doing something that you never thought you would be able to do. my walk to run program is rather new to me, but i am doing it. WE are doing it!!! cheering you on! Jane
