you must be a numbers game person like me. for those that obsess and use the scales as a guide what they should eat at their next meal, or if they should eat all 1,200 calories, they need to remove the scales from their home and weigh somewhere else once a week. we KNOW when we are eating healthy and exercising.

i weigh daily, but it's a numbers game for me. since you stated that you tend to obsess about the scales, i would take them to the neighbors and only go there once a week to use them. Monday may not be the day for you. if it will keep you on track through the weekend than that works. if you tend to fall off the wagon and…

you are such a great encourager around MFP! thank you!

few points: your body does get used to the exercise...that's why it's recommended that you change your program around every 6-8 weeks. a few suggestions. are you able to hold onto the ladder and kick like crazy? if so, do this for 5 minutes every so many laps. do it about 4-6 times while in the pool. the speedy movement of…

we've all been on the same road. that's why we are here. together. team work. cheering you on!

i love steel cut oats cooked in the crock-pot, leftovers in the fridge for the week. i use the called for amount of water and the same amount of soy milk/almond milk (yes, double the liquid that the packaging calls for. i add a granny smith apple or two in large pieces/chunks cinnamon about 2 TBS of sugar in the raw…

look at you! awesome girl! love the smile on your face now! keep up the hard work, it will pay off.

yes, packaging is very misleading. those selling don't care. if they have you hooked because of the HFCS or yummy taste, they will sell you more. look at wonderful McD's that super-sizes! it is sad that all they care about is their bottom line and making a buck. when i started eating almost every one of my meals in our…

you can do this. we are all in this together.

i don't schedule a cheat day. there are way to many "life situations" that can run me off in the ditch. my Husband and i go on date night once every 2 weeks, so i allow for a glass of wine that night, as well as a few more calories. i have found if we eat at certain favorite places, even making good choices i end up…

Nicole...we are all here for you. cheering you on. do you have a workout plan that works for your school schedule, you and your baby? eating healthy and movement will help you get to your goal. let me know how i can help you and cheer you on!

make sure you are not working the same muscles 2 days in a row with your lifting. if you are lifting...full body workouts, alternate days and give your muscles a break. my suggestion so that you can eat half your exercise calories: 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of full body weights, next day do 30 minutes of cardio…

i love the 85% dark chocolate squares by Lindt's. take 2 of them with a 1 TBS of almond butter...you have a VERY healthy reese cup type treat. and NO high fructose corn syrup! or white sugar. i also keep homemade vanilla bean ice cream in the fridge. our machine makes a small amount, each 1/2 cup is only about 100…

keep one pant and top from your largest size, you WILL enjoy putting them back on and seeing the difference. this week i put on my pants from Feb 1st....WOW...i had no clue. and they were by no means baggy when i was wearing them. it is an awesome reality check. and i would save a pair from a few sizes, even close to your…

take it one day at a time. sometimes i take it one minutes at a time. when i "fall of the wagon" i don't wait till the next day or "Monday" to get back on the wagon. i don't beat myself up for my poor choice. i pick myself up, give myself a hug (just like you would do if you were talking to a small child that is learning…

i'm cheep, so while i am going down several sizes, i borrow from my friends. (thankfully i work from home and live a casual lifestyle, so this helps) there are about 5 of us that are losing together...we pass to the next person when we no longer need/can keep our clothes on. this summer i did buy some new items..but most…

there are many factors that will cause you to retain water: sodium intake (uncontrollable when you eat out or eat processed/prepared foods) dehydration will cause you to retain because your body is storing up in fear that it won't get any soon (like your metabolism needs food to keep working) your female cycle will cause…

knowing that we are all in the same boat is why i like MFP. the encouragement is awesome here. and there's no poking or 'villes here. 3 years ago i was 50 pounds heavier than i am today. and i still have about 20 more pounds to go till my goal. team work will help us all get to our goals.
-
are you eating enough calories? when we drastically cut our calories we get fast weight loss. then the body goes into hibernation mode and will either stop losing or even gain. are you exercising. you can get results with just one, but you will get steady results with both. send me a message and friend request and we will…
-
you can do this! team work does help. there are many layers to this "onion". daily i am dealing with the why's. your goal to be healthy and change your family history is AWESOME! i don't have all the answers...but i love to cheer people on. team work and we will both be healthier. tell your awesome husband to give you a…

i love my Shakeology shakes/smoothies. good with just water and ice, or as a meal replacement with almond milk and frozen fruit. i also like it first think in the morning when i have to get out the door quickly...coffee, pumpkin puree, almond milk, and one scoop. LOTS of protein and 70 different ingredients. one scoop is…
