  • How long did it take you to lose the 12.5lbs? If you starting at the beginning of the year then that is fantastic going... I have been hard at it since Jan 1 and am pleased to have lost 10 lbs in 40 days. I think you may be being unrealistic. Add me if you'd like me to look at your diary etc, maybe your weighing and…
  • First question is why aren't you logging your Cals on Sat and Sun? How far out are you those days? Your diary looks quite carb heavy and yes weigh in grams to check your logging is accurate. Eat more varied Fruit and Veg and set realistic goals. With a young child you are going to be tired and stressed. Set your goals to 1…
  • OK, you can do this, I lost 118lbs 6 years ago after turning forty FAT!! I am now maintaining and my whole life is completely different. Feel free to add me if you like. Good luck. Jules x
  • Double check your calorie intake and if necessary set your goals to half or one pound a week until you get used to the lower calorie intake. Eat lots of low cal fillers, I tend to have lots of bowls of salad leaves and veg to fill me up. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water in case you are actually thirsty not…
  • I'm 47, I lost 118lbs 6 years ago and am pretty much maintaining now! It is hard at any age but you can do it. Just have to focus and move more!! Congratulations on your success so far, I'm sure you will achieve your goals. Jules xx
  • Happy Birthday - just let it go Captain America!!! Beast the next 12 months and you'll feel 25 again, I know I do...
  • People on here who spend all week saying how 'bad' they've been and that they have eaten crap then lose loads of weight!!! Pisses me off INSTANTLY...
  • Paint your nails, do a facial, have a bath, go for a walk, knitting?
  • I am doing this fantastic 90 day programme by Stephanie Oram called XTFMAX it was bought from Amazon, on day 45 and it is great - and nowhere near as expensive as Insanity...
  • Excluding Jewellry Coat £295 Bag £250 Boots £100 Skirt, Shirt and cardi £95 Tights & Undies £35 Blimey that's more than I thought but the coat and bag were pressies from my OH.
  • I know what you mean, I have got into the habit of setting the alarm for 5.45am and doing my exercise DVD before everyone else gets up. It sets me up for the day and that is one thing ticked off the list by 6.45am!!
  • Complete all my XTFMAX90 workouts and eat sensibly when I go out for dinner with the girls on Thursday - no alcohol till Sat!!
  • I loathe my body and it makes me feel very inadequate and unlovable.
  • I love Jillian Michaels and her 30DS is great. I have however started 1st Jan a program called XTFMAX90 by Stephanie Oram which is great. 90 days, alternating cardio, strength and toning DVD's. You have the time and for under £20 I think it is the bargain of the century compared to Insanity etc. there are multiple level…
  • Who set your calorie goal, what are your stats age, gender, height? Have you plugged all this into MFP for a guideline amount? 2200 seems an awful lot of cals, especially allowing for weighing logging +/- factors!!
  • Hi Clare, what are your current stats? if you are at a normal weight with only 10lbs to drop then you will have to accept that this is the hardest 10lbs and progress will be very slow. You should input your calculations on here based on a weight loss of .5lbs a week. Good luck.
  • How about reflexology. I used to suffer terribly and now have been taught how to relieve the gas / bloat by massaging a certain area on the base of my feet. It even works on other people (even my OH who thought it was a joke)...
  • First thing you should dump is the excess weight of the hubby. Once he has been unfaithful once he WILL do it again and you will always feel second best. please add me if you want. You are more than capable of doing this for yourself but you need to be honest with all aspects that are holding you back. He has / is…
  • Open your diary and then we can see where you are... Stats would be good too! Basically though you should be as accurate as you can with your logging and weigh your food. Eat back about half your exercise calories and stick to MFP guidelines. If after a month of doing all that ACCURATELY you don't lose a few lbs then I…
  • If you are a complete newbie to running I would suggest doing C25K then maintain at that level or just beyond, then follow a 12 week halfie training programme. You have plenty of time. Good luck. I ran 2 halfies this year and really enjoyed them!
  • two words 'chicken fillets'
  • OMG I would have to give myself a lecture, but the best piece of advice would be 'don't settle for second best in anything or anyone ever'... That would probably have made my life turn out very differently! Also no crash dieting and get fit NOW!!
  • I fear I will be doing this until the end of my days... I would love to be able to get to the stage of eating for requirement and getting the sums right, but after a lifetime of Yo Yo dieting my weight has been relatively stable for the past 6 years mostly due to counting calories and logging on here. For me it's a…
  • Sliced white bread and butter - OMG my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!
  • I am 47 and 5'4" and I ideally like to be 139lbs. But anything between 139 and 147 is fine as I have very chunky legs and arms. This puts me comfortably in a UK size 10...
  • We like you eat light during the day but 'normal' healthy at night, expect Friday nights which is fish and chips. Here is what we have had over the past week or so. Red Thai Prawn curry - homemade with low fat coconut milk and brown basmatic rice Paella Beouf Bourginon with cauliflower rice Beef and Red Wine Pie, just…
  • OK!! First of all 12 kilos in 9 weeks is a lot - 3lbs a week in 'old money'... So congratulations on that!! Secondly, maybe you weren't as accurate as you thought on what you ate whilst away which is normal, it is very difficult to guesstimate calories when you aren't cooking or they don't come written on the packaging.…
  • I tend to stick to 1200 Mon to Thurs then use my exercise cals to go up to 1500 - 1750 at the weekends. If you want to add me you can see my diary... This is very effective for me.
  • I like to make up my own mixes of dark choc chips, dried cranberries and whatever nuts / seeds I have around. Actually I have loads of combos of dried fruit, choc drops, choc buttons and nuts (graze inspired me). They are NOT low in cals necessarily but are a good way of having a bit of choc, something sweet and some good…
  • Firstly you are already within your healthy BMI range so you shouldn't be looking to lose more than about half a pound a week. I would say your cals are set to lose quicker than this - maybe re-plug in your numbers for .5lbs a week loss and see what this gives you. I would say weigh yourself once a week at the same time, I…
