You need to gain. You should not be on a 1200 calorie goal.

It has nearly the same amount of protein as it does carbs (slightly more protein but not by much) so in order to eat them solely to add a significant source of protein to your diet, you would also have to eat enough to constitute a significant source of carbs. As a vegetarian or vegan getting standalone protein without…

They are a significant source of carbs still.

Thanks! =)

I lost 130 lbs solely for the purpose of becoming a better rider =) I just bought my 3rd bike, a new 2014 Yamaha FZ-09.

Yes. But those things you see like 30 Day Squat Challenge are not what people mean when they say squats get you there. Weighted squats are what's necessary, and you should supplement them with good mornings and lunges as well. All weighted. And keep progressively adding weight.

I used to do the whole morning workout thing back when I was taking stim-laden pre-workouts, but I found that even then I just couldn't push as hard as I could later in the day after I had been up for a while and had some food in me. Whether or not morning workouts are ideal, I think, really depends on the person. Not…

I've tried to get into it but there's something about it that just makes it difficult to get into. I think it's got a lot to do with the fact that you really lose a lot in the translation when you put card games into digital format. When the person has to actually OWN the card, it makes it special. Of course I'm a longtime…

I tried it. I stuck with it for about 4 months, only making exceptions for when I went out to eat at restaurants (which is very rare for me). I saw amazing results in terms the way my body reacted and energy levels shot up. Plus my grocery bills went down. I didn't stick with it because I ended up in the hospital due to…

I did it to become a better motorcyclist. Now I'm down 135 lbs and way better.

Taking protein shake mix in and of itself does nothing but add missing protein to your diet. Because it contains calories you are still eating extra calories. It is only recommended for people who do not get in sufficient protein for their goals through food alone. Also, Isopure is a very high quality whey isolate which…

As a result of a neurological dysfunction I never developed a sex drive (along with many other natural, base instincts). I have absolutely nothing to gain by prioritizing looks. It is done exclusively for practical benefit. And the people who can't wrap their brains around the idea that someone like myself can exist are…
-
And you really can't wrap your head around the idea that someone may not care about looks at all? Sorry but that is very narrow-minded of you.

I've been obese since I was a teenager. I never cared to do anything about it until one right before my 28th birthday. I did something I had always wanted to do and bought a motorcycle. Learning how to ride was complicated by the fact that I was actually heavier and more massive than the bikes they make you ride in the…
-
And you really think that's true of everyone? My sole reason for changing my ways from 335 lbs was to become better at motorcycling. I really don't care about the whole "looking better" aspect. Why, honestly, do you think this is true of EVERYONE? Is it really so difficult comprehend the idea that someone can be so wrapped…

The nutrition guide is just a recipe list of recipes that fall under the 40/40/20 macronutrient profile. You are free to use your own. Just stick tot hat profile.

I don't know how to make this work with RA, but all you really need (for upper body specific stuff) is to find a way to perform a resisted PUSHING movement (this will work the chest, shoulders, and triceps) and a resisted PULLING movement (this will work the rest of the upper body). I wish I could be more specific, but I…
-
Press ups/push ups, as well as some sort of resisted pulling motion that engages the muscles in the upper back and biceps (the primary muscles responsible for generating pulling force) working with a level of resistance high enough to fatigue yourself in a single digit number of reps is most ideal for your goals at this…
-
Your best bet if you don't have access to a weight that is enough to fatigue you in under 15 reps is to stick exclusively with bodyweight training. Modify if you have to.
-
Tracking your weight like that will work against you, psychologically, when you eventually transition into focusing more on fitness than just weight loss. You won't be able to trust the scale anymore and the massive fluctuations you will see (even some weight gain depending on how you choose to go about it) may discourage…

Doing squats while in a calorie deficit = booty gets smaller (along with the rest of you) but while still maintaining a round shape. Doing squats while in a calorie surplus = booty gets bigger. Regardless of your goals bodyweight squats won't cut it. You need to be using a fairly heavy weight. Also, regardless of your…

A cup is a standard unit of measure in the imperial system. It's what the UK used to use before they switched over to the metric system (a process which, by the way, took nearly 200 years and they were not fully converted until 1975) and which is still used by the US. It is a unit of liquid measure equivalent to 250ml. For…

Eating healthy is cheap if you're willing to cook from scratch. Fresh produce and vegetables, fresh meats, cook in bulk, saves me money over buying processed/prepackaged meals per serving.
-
I usually have a relatively small meal/snack of a piece of fruit and a protein shake (mixed with water, not milk) prior to working out. Not for any nutritional reasons, but I find that I don't do well working out on an empty stomach.
-
There is no "making up." You simply pick up where you left off when you're able to go again.
-
For safety's sake alone, cardio after weights. Attempting to start a high intensity weightlifting workout when already fatigued is a recipe for injury.
-
I have a 2014 Yamaha FZ-09. Just bought it yesterday. It's my third bike. Edited because images were too big to fit. It's Blazing Orange.
-
Well, as I said, I use a different brand. But yes, I still do it. It helped me tremendously. In fact I did a killer suspension trainer workout just yesterday, and will do another tomorrow.

200 of anything is not a strength training workout. That's cardio.
