Hey everyone! My name is Megan, and I've been prepping for the last 6 weeks or so to put both me and my husband on the Whole30 beginning April 1. Now, granted, I know I can't control what he chooses to eat when he's at work, but I can at least make the grocery decisions, so will know that I'm at least doing what I can to…

My husband and I are starting in April as well. I have to travel for a week or two right in the middle of the month, so will do the best I can while on the road, but may end up having to restart when I return. I'm really looking forward to it!

I vote for pushing yourself to do as much as you can, but really paying attention to your body's signals, so that you don't push too far. Our bodies are amazing, but do take more time to repair themselves as we age. As for hiding yourself away, NO WAY. Strut your bad self with pride. :drinker:

I've wondered this as well - we see people in various parts of the world absolutely thriving on certain types of diets (that is, ways of eating, not diet-diets), and yet so many in other parts of the world just can't figure it out. Related to that (stay with me here, I promise this will make sense), some people are…

I'm on the slow track, too, but keep telling myself - what if I'd GAINED this amount I've lost in a year's time instead of having lost it? Can you imagine if your message right now was that you'd gained 36 pounds in a year? Yikes, right? :) So WTG on the awesome loss instead! :D

I gave it a go, just for the "what the heck, let's experiment" factor, and made some notes about it in my MFP blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/hdsqrl I never followed up on my last post, though...I should do them again (maybe will sleep in one tonight) and see if I notice a difference. Granted, I've been on the MFP…

I won't beat you up over the diuretics use, as I don't really know one way or the other what harm they can do when used occasionally. However, I do know one thing that helps to debloat you naturally, should you want to give that a try - cut a lemon in half and drop the entire half-lemon into a mug of water, and then nuke…

Haven't hit the 20-mark, but I think that'll happen. This is marriage #2 for both of us, and we'll have been together about 10 years this year, though only married for 3. We've lived together since 2005, though, so it sure feels like we've been married much longer than 3, heh. I agree with the poster who noted that it's…

I'm in! :) <<<<<<<

I've had success with explaining to my coworkers that I'm working hard to reach a better level of health - now that they're "in on the secret" in a way, they don't pressure me to eat. They'll still offer to be nice, but don't give me grief if I say No. Maybe try that? It's funny that you posted this - I just posted a…

I think they're dry and not nearly as chocolatey as I'd like. :(

(Aww, editing because the person above me posted the stick joke at the same time I did, hah! Here's another one.) You know how sometimes you'll see geese flying overhead, and they're in a V formation, with one side of the V longer than the other side? Do you know why that is? . . . . . . There are more geese on that side.…

I'll send you a FR! :)

I draw the line at letting the bottom biscuits hang out.

If these folks at work really are people you consider friends, perhaps you could approach them at a time when they're not discussing where to go to lunch, and let them know that you're going to be making an effort to improve your health, that you're planning your meals ahead of time, and that while you'd still love to go…

I have a working theory that I'm sensitive to products with yeast, because I have similar mood swings or woozy head PLUS fun bloating after eating bread, specifically. Like you, I can do cake or crackers like Triscuits, plus carbs from fruits and veggies are fine. Even candy doesn't affect me the way bread does. But one…

If you don't buy it, you can't snack on it, right? :) A hot drink like tea or some of that international foods instant stuff is usually enough to distract me when the late-night munchies hit. Try those?

There's a two-fold reason for not working out: (a) Your body needs to rest in order to fight the bugs, and (b) going to the gym while sick just gets everyone else sick. Not cool. Stay home, stay warm, drink your fluids, and enjoy the downtime as much as you can without guilt. :)

It's been a long time since I've gone near a bag of Doritos, but when I ate them regularly, I'd seek out the ones darkest in color first (they had the most seasoning) and would have to bite the points off each chip before eating the rest of it. I suppose I still kind of do that in a way - when eating chips in a mexican…

I've had this Panache bra for about 6 months now and agree that it's amazing. Welcome to the Panache club! :drinker:

NY&Co Curvy Bootcuts, usually, though today I'm rocking a pair of Luckys that were in a bag of hand-me-downs. :)

I was training a class of business people in NYC and one of the ladies in the class told me that she loved my sense of style. Coming from a polished NY'er, I was flattered! :)

I actually had a talk with my hubby about computer games the other night - he'd gotten into that pattern you described where he played nonstop, didn't come to bed, etc. I was feeling pretty resentful after a while, and lonely, too. I told him how it made me feel, and he's been better since. I'm not at all asking him NOT to…

This one: http://www.amazon.com/Panache-Womens-Underwired-Sports-Bra/dp/B005X5FG2O I know lots of Enell users are here as well, but I keep hearing how those are hard to get into. This one is easy like a regular bra, but OMG, the support. :) I'm a 32H and the girls have never been happier while exercising.

This one: http://www.amazon.com/Panache-Womens-Underwired-Sports-Bra/dp/B005X5FG2O  Seriously. It comes in fun color combos, and REALLY holds up/in the girls. I'm a 32H, and can run with hardly any bounce at all. The straps have a little metal hook that allows you to put it on like a regular bra, but then hook the…

When dining out and wishing the menu had healthier options, engage your server as your ally. Admit that you don't know how it would be rung up, but what you'd really love is for *this* chicken to be added to *that* salad, with *these* toppings, etc. It gives the server a chance to be creative, gives the kitchen something…

I've never cooked with either of these, but perhaps rice flour/rice milk? Or do those contain gluten as well?
