  • I can't do lunges (front type) to save myself. I always fall or pull a muscle. I was told to use a chair for balance, if I'm at the gym I use one of the stepper platforms from the circuit training area, but I still have issues. Squats on the other hand I can do, alot (highest count was 225).
  • Worrying about how many calories do I have left, everyday, all the time. Also anger at not being able to eat what I want because of CARBS or GLUTEN.... that is really beginning to both anger & depress me. :{
  • I didn't overly enjoy them - it is HOT steamed veggies & meat on cold greens. Plus the carb levels where crazy high for what they are (not everyone cares about that part, but still). I still have 3 in the freezer and I don't know if I will eat them.
  • Planet Fitness..... BUT! I do have some stuff @ home. I just wish they would open a new location - the PF i signed up for is OVER CROWDED and I often hit a smaller (but still busy) branch.
  • Pork Chops - Pork Loin Boneless Center Cut Chops, 16 oz Trader Joe's - Curry Simmer Sauce, 0.666 cup (2/3 c) Trader Joe's - Satay Peanut Sauce, 15 grams (1 Tbsp) Trader Joe's Light Coconut Milk, Canned, 0.666 Cup (2/3 c) Cruzan - Pineapple Rum, 2 oz Mix liquids, trim any "extra" fat from chops, place chops in sauce and let…
  • Considering I have to do a lower carb, no gluten, some dairy diet - since starting to eat better I have seen my monthly cost of food rise. Cheap things like beans, rice & pasta is basically out, I have to rely on veggies, dairy, eggs & meat. Or spend extra for gluten free versions. I have been at a point in my life where…
  • First, 2 pounds isn't anything to worry about. Could be salt, water, TOM, etc. Second, why nothing other than walking? Even body weight strength training exercises have benefits and will help. Three, if you can't or won't do additional exercise, I can understand the 1300 cals, although it's below your BMR (since you didn't…
  • I've got 21 tattoos - I love them and I have 4 on my back, with more planned. Tats can be classy or not, they are art and it's beauty in the eye of the beholder.
  • Ok, please tell mine this is SUPPOSED to happen because so far they are ignoring my protests! Lost "band" size but the damn cups are STILL THE SAME. (46dd to 40dd) Double grrrrr! Although the look on the "fitting" lady when I was in trying to see what size I know fit and her "tape measure" gave me something totally stupid…
  • Taurus - The Bull... to a fault! I even have the "nose" ring too....
  • One Life & PF are the two "affordable" gyms round me.... so freaking sad, but I'm starting my weight sets @ home... At least my PF has DD's up to 75lbs, but I feel ya bout the leg press - already @ 300.... and I think I can only stack one more set of 45's on the silly thing Wish Gold's was still around (close or…
  • 4 - Mon/Wed/Fri and either Sat or Sun morning depending on what is happening that day. Cardo warm-up / Lifting / Cardo wrap-up - normally 1.5-2+ hours

  • Form, don't worry about the amount of weight at first. Really work on form first. Rock those 5 pounders until you are spot on in form. And don't worry about any looks you get from being in the weights section - really. Just go in there like you OWN the place and you will. (this coming from someone who was afraid too....…
  • 56... well, no d'uh... even now that I've lost a good chunk, I think it's worse or the same.... Blarg
  • As many other people suggested - go get a "new" box. DON'T re-use an old or used box. Cat's can have some pretty nasty bacteria that can make people sick. Don't even try it - just buy a cheap new one (or a large turkey alum pan from the Dollar Store).
  • Ok, I read & re-read your post before I write this to make sure I understood. First, you sound fine & lovely at the size you were & are. I would trade you in a heartbeat love, I've NEVER been a size 10. Second, your man sounds, IMO, like a bully and an inconsiderate *kitten*. The reasoning I say this more than anything…
  • Thanks, ill look up some more free weight/dumbbell excerises. I rarely do deadlifts and only just stared trying barbell squats, I prefer dumbbell squats caause the bar hurts my neck and twisting my shoulders back is also apinful (in a bad way).
  • Lock-n-Lock storage boxes, Bobble water bottle, food scale, good set of knives & pots/pans to cook with. Heart rate monitor (grrr...), tune band for my cell (tracker & music), great ear buds, various shoes (ALL VIBRAMS!), FitBit And finally someone to come with me to the gym.
  • Unfornately, since it is labeled a "pre-existing" condition I can't get insurance coverage for anything relating to my back (and until next year too terrorified to even try as I fear the company would drop me & my hubs needs the insurance for his medical condition. I can't even afford a PT right now, let alone a physical…
  • Bumping causing I've been there as well (recently) - i changed program and dropped cals. Restarted loosing weight, but now I feel I'm going backwards in relation to how much weight/reps I was doing.
  • Same here, I am noticing many people using the machines/equipment to sit and surf/text/ect..... please have respect for other gym goers, if you aren't actively using said machine/eqpt, please move so others may use it. And YES i do understand some programs/workouts require "X" of rest time between sets, it the rest time is…
  • Do you have the plastic electrode or the older fabric strap? I just bought a FT40 - not even a month old, I changed the batteries and it STOPS working. I did contact Polar, they told me to LEAVE THE BATTERY OFF THE TRANSMITTER for 5-10 min to "reset" the transmitter. Try that first. If that fails, CONTACT POLAR. I did…
  • Best suggestions I can offer: One - get a GREAT mix (playlist) of music that keeps the beat moving and you really enjoy. You'll get lost in your own little world and before you know it, workout is done! And two - find a lifting (ST - cardo - gym) partner - that helps me alot more than I thought.
  • Raw, un-roasted, unsalted nuts - walnuts, almonds, pumpkin, sunflower unsweetened dried fruits (can make your own - instead of sugar, try agave or rice syrup) Plain popcorn - i have started dusting mine w/ unsweetened coco powder, chili powder, or ranch powder (so yum) apple slices & organic peanut butter grass fed cheese…
  • Parents - Mormon (Church of the Latter Day Saints) I consider myself a "neo-pagan", my belief system is odd & complex - cross tetragrammaton, modern satanism (hedonism and not belief in Satan) and belief in equal opposites and a "higher power than us". I do believe in ALL gods as facets of the "higher power" and us Humans…

  • 12" zipper scar, upper to mid back. Spinal fusion at age 11. The whole event was traumatizing, the permanent scar a constant reminder that I'm defective from birth. Yeah :{ I've tattooed around it to help deal with it, I want to get a "corset piercing" tattoo on it but the scar is the ONLY part of my back I can feel and…
  • I don't net 1000, but can get 700-800. I also don't trust MFP's numbers, I trust my HRM or a calculation (for WL'ing). 15 min cardo warm-up, 55-70 min weight lifting, then 20-30 min more cardo. Warm-up cardo is arc trainer (stair climber) lvl 15-26, elevation 10-15 HR never tops more than 161. Sometimes Elliptical same…
  • My Little Pony:FIM, Adventure Time, Ghost Hunters, Face Off, HOUSE, Walking Dead, Mythbusters, How It's Made
  • I barefoot walk/jog, thus my stride is very short. On the treadmill: walking 3.5-4mpg, jogging 5-5.5mpg. I tend to do intervals - 2 walk/2 run for roughly 30 min. Avg burn 250-300 cal. For me, going faster makes me unable to draw breath or walk later (my left knee hates me), worse case my feet/ankles hurt. I'm still "new"…
