i like to use grill masters packets, i get 2-3 servings out of one (just add more water to thin it out) and let it sit all day. Comes out great. Also Lawry makes some good ones, just cut it down w/ water or maybe a little white wine. I don't care too much on the cals/sod, I watch my sugar/carb intake (thus why I cut them…

Wow, people really like a stranglehold on their beliefs. But even myself, who does believe, first went for ALL logical reasons before conceding to anything else: one place had old copper gas lanes still in the walls, which the outdated electrical system (copper wire wrapped in cloth for ^$%^@# sake!) tapped into to…

Yes I do, seen several and lived in several locations that had activity that I couldn't explain (and oh yes, I looked and searched and tried to find logical explanations/reasons). But I also believe that dying ins't the "end" of us, also that not all "ghosts" where humans or intelligent and yes, there are things out there…

my coworkers already think I'm weird, but now they REALLY think I've lost it Sit Moon moon, sit.... *more insane giggling* bwt - mine is Grey Claw. Wow, so boring... can I be Moon Moon ?

Mine runs thru the house making this gods-awful meowing sound, bouncing off walls or you if you happen to be walking. Considering she's 14 and needs a stool to jump on the bed or chair, I'm shocked she still does this weird run of hers. She also enjoys a good ruffling - I mean, dig into the fur and ruffle everything, belly…

Damn.. all this talk of grilled cheese sammies makes me want the (now considered abomination) food we had growing up: Grilled Velveeta w/ Spam - food of the gods

Remarkably, few have tried to offer me "advice". I get more people asking me what I've done & what they should. I TRY to explain that what works for me may not be best for them, then offer some suggestions (even to my friend who is lifting w/ me). I try NOT to be "that person".

My hubs grew up in that traditional house - dad worked, mom did the housework... he provided, she provided for him. I on the other hand did NOT grow up like this. Both parents had jobs, all 3 of us where lack-key kids, he "tried" to lazy around when he got home but mom typically threatened him enough to go do some…

Land-o-Lakes Olive Oil butter - but it's not much better than the Coconut oil. I use BOTH all the time, I eat mushrooms as much as you. But I don't always fry them (raw w/ hummus). I also cook them down in Burbon or Whiskey. Plus they DO make a Coconut Oil spray (Trader Joe's) that I sometimes use when I don't want the…

1) Because - who knows, she could be showing off, not paying attention, trying to annoy you, etc 2) Showing off - maybe she enjoys tormenting people? 3) Oblivious to everything & everybody - she wants to do her workout, maybe that's her favorite machine, under the best fan, in front of the TV was wants, gets the best radio…

Nice article, very enlightening. But I shall continue my coconut oil use, which isn't much. I use it instead of Olive mostly because I like the taste & it's more shelf stable (I've had Olive go bad before - nasty). And as a skin lotion (i'm allergic to allot of things & perfumes, so far not with coconut oil use on my skin…

My hubs is like this - but recently ha has been worried about the 30lbs he gained since getting his thyroid under control & stopping smoking. He has reduced his soda intake (was up to 4 - 2liters a day) and trying to watch his carbs (his avg daily was 600-800 a day). Change how you want for you - let him eat what he wants,…

I'll also throw my vote into the "reconsider" it corner. I had a good friend do bypass - yes, she lost alot of weight. BUT... she has now started re-gaining, she has an issue w/ alcohol (which if you do research, will effect you faster) and other mental issues that the surgery by itself will NOT fix. At one time I…

nice rack you got

Yeap, i get them on both hands (ring finger only), but gloves help. Also, well keep the skin well moisturized to help repair the damage. Or as me hubs says, he gets "used to them" - and his hands are so callused it's damn scary. :frown:

I've only had mine a week so far, but it has helped me understand better HOW much I am burning and how much I am eating in a day. Because of it, in the last week, I've lost more (only 1.5 lbs) than I have in the last few months. It's more accurate than my FitBit was and easier to deal with than my HRM (Polar FT40). I…

And as I tried syncing this morning, the food data is missing again. "Thrid Party" is still chosen and I'm gonna re-try to sync everything again. Then I see several people are having issues connecting to the servers - wonder if the BodyMedia site is down?
-
I'm not sure what I did, but suddenly I am getting the food data from MFP. I did unsync both and resync, so maybe that "corrected" something. As long as it works, I'm happy - thanks for the hints and suggestions. I'll keep them written down in case it stops.

As much as you'd like the 1+ hr break, maybe if you think that length is bothering him, aim for alittle less? I get a 1hr lunch, I only aim for 30min walks or rides, that way I have time to get back and cool down, clean-up and/or eat something before I need to get back to work. Hope you can figure something out.

I count vigorous housecleaning - but I clean house like a MAD woman. It's at least a 2-6+ hour affair, I sweat and I'm constantly moving. BUT I only count 50% of the time I do, IE: if I took 4 hours to clean the whole place, I'd maybe count 2 hours. Mostly because on those days, I'm not doing a "dedicated" exercise. BUT I…

If you are gonna go FitBit, go One. I have the Ultra (older model) - I tried to purchase the Flex and gave up after I was informed that it would be at least 1-2 more months before my order could be filled. I did enjoy the Ultra, I do wished it would sync bluetooth, but for what it was, it was a good device. I also had mine…

First, vet to make sure there isn't something medical going on. Second, give her a bath. Even w/ flea treatment, she could have some and they are bothering her. My fur baby just got her treatment and has bites all over, she's headed toward a bath and a nice grooming to make her feel better. Third, over-grooming is a sign…

Nope, welcome to the world of "saggy's" - it's disheartening. I haven't lost a cup size YET, but they have a noticeable droop and such. The hubs says he still likes them.... sure. One, make sure to moisturize daily - a good lotion, like coco butter, almond oil, coconut oil (what I use) will help the skin. Two, make sure…

YUM and yeap - food as gifts isn't great. I've canceled my Swiss Colony because I'm too tempted to "add on something for me" when I would order other's gifts.

It's a guy thing - my hubs looks up people all the time, heck sometime i do. My hubs married me when I was bigger, he's never "disliked" me because of my weight (he wants me happy & healthy - if that means smaller or bigger, he doesn't care). Try to not let things like that worry you too much, yes, I know it's painful to…

I guess I'm weird - none of my workout gear cost more than $12 (unless you count shoes, but I wear my Vibrams 24/7 so I really don't count them). I hit the sales @ Target, Penny's, Sears and Old Navy. Most of my stuff is black (less sweat shown) and wears pretty well considering. Only thing I'm missing is some good bras,…

I 'm the mother/medical specialist, the psychiatrist/sounding board, the encyclopedia, the computer fixer/technophile, the internet search hound, the one w/ a mechanic for a husband and the one to ask when everyone is short on anything, I probably have a spare/back-up/change/or will buy it for them. Sadly, very few of…

I just had to go see.... according to that site, I'm at 28.1% and my "goal weight" for 22% is 204.... (female, 221, 6.5" wrist, 43 waist, 47 hip and 11 forearm) Really? My monitor tells me my BF is 36.6%, my BMI says GW should be alot lower....like 125 (LOL) Oh well, I'm just aiming for what I want..... less body fat,…

The reason I bought a PS3 - it was cheaper than a 3D Blueray player & could surf online. Oh, and God of War. I JUST upgraded my old 360 fat box for the newer Slim model thru their Online 2yr contract deal (IE: got an 360 250gb Slim for $100 for signing up to Live for 2 years @ 14.99 - i was paying 11.99 a month, so the…

I hate to say it, but a HRM w/ a Fitness check would help. MFP & Endo (the app I use) always over cals my calorie burn, sometimes more than doubling. Recently my HRM has been reading off, after a battery change & a new Fitness Test, my fitness had improved. When I use it now.... I burn even less LOL.
