I'm so glad I found this! I've only been exercising for 6 days, but yesterday I set myself a goal to burn 1000 calories a day, 7000 a week. Weekly Goal: 7,000 Mon: 1007: Nike app work out, level 1 30DS + other random exercise. Tues: 463 (so far) Wed: calories burned (how they were burned) Thur: calories burned (how they…

Oh okay, thank you! I wasn't sure because I had a lot of people telling me that if I wasn't aching I wasn't doing it right.

You can prepare soup before hand and freeze/ container it so you can grab it on your way out the door. It's really handy to do at the end of the week when you're kind of left with all the left over vegetables that need to be cooked. I use vegetable stock, tinned tomatoes, tomato paste, a bit of tobasco sauce for heat and…

I hate: When I post a topic on MFP about having worked my butt of and burned a heap of calories and all I get is a bunch of people tearing me down.. Telling me stuff like 'your HRM is wrong', 'there's no way you could have burned that many' and making assumptions about my diet and how long my heart rate was elevated for..…
-
I think a lot of this has gotten out of hand and some people have made some assumptions which just aren't true. To clear everything up, I log the calories I burn from exercise and some cleaning. Vacuuming, mopping, running around picking general stuff up. When I do log cleaning I make a conscious effort to really put in…

Now I'm not trying to be rude, but could you please stop? I understand you're trying to get a point across but I really don't want to keep reading through all the negativity, pretty much telling me that what I'm doing is useless. Also, you're making assumptions on my heart rate, you don't know what my heart rate was and…

It also has a lot to do with how much people weigh too and staying in your target heart rate zone.

I wasn't at rest, I was up moving around, breaking a sweat. Even if it is 25% off that's still 333 calories I've burnt and I'm okay with this!
-
LMAO! I may have to create a play list of music and do just the same!
-
YAY! I'm not alone, I really felt my heart rate rise and began sweating as well! I'm glad other people have been doing the same!
-
Me too! I'm glad someone sees where I'm coming from! I'm not just strolling around, I genuinely get moving. I still don't see what the difference is between burning 450 calories from cleaning opposed to 450 from jogging.
-
I don't see how working up a good sweat vacuuming, etc. isn't able to be counted as exercise. Anything above my BMR that I would have broken a sweat from is exercise. If I had of gone for a 45 minute walk/ jog it would be included so why can't this?

I saw your intake from yesterday, you took in a lot of calories from butter, maybe cut down on the butter and eat other things that'll keep you fuller with those calories.
-
I stick to a low calorie intake most days of the week as well. I get a lot of crap from people here on MFP but it works, I don't go hungry and I keep the weight off. The ones who tell everyone that you'll gain back the weight don't realise that if you make the lifestyle change that won't happen. I'm not too sure what your…

Thank you everyone so much for all the new information and for being so kind! As it stand today 3 or 4 days after the 2 kilo gain I only have about 500 grams (1 pound) to lose before I'm back to the original weight and I can actually start losing again! Our bodies are crazy, it's taking a lot of getting used to on my part,…

I did day 2 today and it KILLED! I have 5 weeks to fit my bum into a dress for my birthday! I hope you're enjoying it so far, OP! And I hope everyone else is going great. Any weightloss/ difference in anyone so far?

For me there were so many things. Cheese: I used to have it on everything, not anymore. Milk Chocolate: I knew it was bad, didn't know how many were in there though. Tinned Corn: I'm not sure if it's the same for fresh corn, but tinned seems to have heaps of calories. Apple: More than I thought. Pasta, flour, etc: Just..…

LMFAO. The cake was really, really good. HAHAHAHA. Thank you so much for posting your numbers, it's nice to see that someone knows where I'm coming from!
-
Tizzz, I know exactly how you feel! Add me if you like. I know a lot of people frown on it, but I reduced my calorie intake a lot. My Dr and I found that it works best for me to lose weight and that I won't put it back on because I've made the lifestyle change. Maybe see your Doctor and have a chat. And the fact that I…

I'm hoping this is the case and it will just drop off once I'm back into my routine. Let's face it, our minds work in strange ways. I would have had to over eaten 15000 calories over my intake to gain 2 kilos, which I didn't do, yet I still feel terrible.
-
Thank you so much everyone, I'm feeling so much better now. I love this community!
-
Thank you so much, I appreciate it. You look amazing by the way!

Yes, I am a female! I'm not due to get my period for another 2 weeks! I'm a little distraught at the whole thing, I had lost 7 kilos (14 pounds) but all of a sudden I've gained back 2?!
-
Any advice welcome!

I am losing weight, LOL. I was just curious as to whether or not there was a particular exercise I'd be able to do to help.
