I'm bringing my favorite healthy foods to my family picnic. Cottage cheese & veggie salad, fresh fruit and pickled eggs. I'll fill up on that stuff, and maybe sneak a piece of lean steak on the grill.

The funny thing about working out is I have to push myself to do it, but once I do, I feel great! I actually love working out, I just forget that in between every single session.

Does everyone follow that given amount? I've been eating non-stop for the past two days!!! I had been eating 1,000-1,200 a day but quit losing weight. I came here and it said to eat 1,500. Steamed veggies and tofu are your best options. When we eat Chinese I treat myself to steamed dumplings, but always share them. If I know I'm going out to eat, I make sure to budget my calories for the day, then watch my portions.

Yeah, that drives me crazy when the kids eat all my healthy cereal and leave me with a cupboard of captain crunch and lucky charms. I just threaten to stop buying anything but rabbit food.

You know what food I gave up when I started counting calories? Salad! I had no idea I was smothering my healthy lunch with gazillions of calories, carbs and fat. I used to call it my 'garbage salad' ... I had no idea I was actually eating garbage. :noway:
