I started entering it under dance (the option with twist in the description). Once I bought my HRM, I just added Zumba to the list and I enter in the minutes and the calories burn.

I think being fat is not a disability, but an excuse to remain fat. This is a choice, for the vast majority at least, to keep eating junk food and not moving. Having a true disability in my opinion, is not a choice that someone has. I think if someone is too fat and would "qualify" for disability, they should have specific…

I'm the same way, especially when I'm eating something REALLY good. The one thing that I've been doing, is eating slower. I will put my fork on the plate while I chew and put my hands on my lap. It's a method my mom taught me and I'm getting better at eating slower instead of shoveling the food in my mouth. Another thing I…

I absolutely LOVE Zumba. I started the Zumba workouts to help me with my dancing and body movements/coordination. I've always loved to dance but I've never been good at moving my hips...always moved kinda stiff. It took a few weeks to get some of the moves down so I'm sure I looked rediculous. I didn't care though, I was…

I watch the Biggest Loser while on the tread mill. If the contestents can do this, so can I. This is my mentality and motivation and it works.

My daugter is 4 now, but I used to work out when she would take a nap. She also has a TON of energy, so I would put on some music and we would dance for about 30 min. Now, since she's 4, we do Just Dance on the Kinect and she loves it. She will switch sides with me because she will see I have more stars and then she gets…

I turn mine off once I'm done working out, regardless of where my heart rate is.

I've seen the show once, and I was very disgusted at the parents, the judges, and the producers of the show for allowing this to even air. It baffles me how parents can be so "abusive" to their kids just so the parent can enjoy the prize money or the attention. These kids look extremely creepy with their fake hair, nails,…

I'm going to Mcdonalds for lunch today. I'll be getting the Grilled Chicken Ranch BLT w/o the bun (180 cal, 2 carbs), and I might get the Caesar Salad w/ grilled chicken and the southwest dressing instead of caesar dressing (240, 13 carbs). Total lunch is about 420 cal, 15 carbs. The rest of the day is fruits and veggies.…

I add a lemon slice to my water every day. It not only adds a little flavor, but I have to pee every 45 minutes.

I'm on Day 5 today and I add in my calories burned under exercise. I've been burning between 300-390 doing the 30 Day Shred according to my heart rate monitor. I have my activity level at seditary I think since I have an office job, which estimates what I should be burning just doing normal every day things. Any type of…

I will be doing 10 days of each level, but will have Wed's off because my daughter has karate class after work. On the weekends, I plan on adding either Hip Hop Abs or Zumba for extra cardio. I'll be doing Level 1 Day 4 today.

I currently have 9 tattoos, mainly on my back and left side. I'd eventually love to get my back completely done. As for the person who wrote "tattoos are classless and trashy" everyone has a right to their own opinion. I did find a quote that I think fits perfectly: "the only difference between tattooed people and…

FOR BOTH THE CHICKEN AND THE STEAK, RUB THE ADOBO MIX ON THE MEAT. WHEN COOKING/GRILLING, SPRINKLE BOTH SIDES WITH SALT.

I am starting it today, I joined the group that's doing it the month of July. Feel free to add me as a friend

There are a few DVDs out there that use your weight to build strength, with the help of 2-5lb hand weights. I personally love Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, both from the Biggest Loser. Both incorporate cardio with strength to not only build muscle, but to burn calories. They do squats of different variations, planks,…

I read something like that yesterday on yahoo.com, but I think the article was more focused on the modeling world instead of the real world. Models are twigs so I can see how a size 6 might be considered "overweight" to them. I agree with one of the other posters, who says the plus size starts at 14. The perfect size, to…

I'm in. I've been doing only 2 times a week at work, but want to do it 5-6 times a week.

I have a small area to work out in too, so I try to have enough room in front of me, behind me, left of me, and to the right of me to do a lunge. Then I start one of my workout DVDs, lately it's one of Jillian Michaels. All you need is room to do pushups, and lunges (front and back lunges) and you will notice after a week…

I mix cardo with 30 Day Shred. Here is my workout schedule: Mon: off Tue: 30 DS (avg 350 cal burned) Wed: Zumba or Hip Hop Abs (avg 400 cal burned) Thur: 30 DS (avg 350 cal burned) Fri: Zumba or Hip Hop Abs (avg 400 cal burned) Sat: Zumba or Hip Hop Abs (avg 400 cal burned) Sun: Zumba or Hip Hop Abs (avg 400 cal burned) I…

I have done the 30 Day Shred and it's a great one to start with. I also have her Last Chance Workout which I LOVE because the people on the DVD doing the workout are from the Biggest Loser instead of people who are already fit and skinny. It helps motivate me to complete each circuit, if they can do it, so can I. Good luck.

I love tacos too and I'll go to Taco Bell once a week and order 3 tacos, but will empty the ingredients on a plate and toss the shells so it's a little bit better, more Atkin's style, and that brings my calories for lunch between 300-360 for all 3 shell-less tacos. I also make sure on the day I eat Taco Bell, it's on a day…

I ablsolutely love Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. It's tough but it works. I have a Heart Rate Monitor and I burn an average of 320 calories in the 27 minutes it takes to do the workout. I also have her Last Chance Workout which runs longer but is the same concept...3 min strength, 2 min cardio, and 1 min abs, then…

I'd start toning/strength training along with cardio. Muscle also helps burn fat, and there are a lot of really good workout DVDs out there that integrate strength training and cardio. Some of my favorites are Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred or her Last Chance Workout, and Bob Harper's Biggest Loser DVDs. Both of them mix…

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred or her Last Chance Workout are phenominal:smile:

My coworkers and I started level 3 today at work and it's hard. It's not too bad if you modify some of the moves, just follow Anita on the DVD. We were all exhausted afterwards, but I felt great because I was pushing myself. It's been 30 minutes since the workout and my arms still feel tired. I think Level 1 focused on…

I love Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and her Last Chance Workout. She pushes you to work harder and faster then you ever have and you really do see the results. It's definately hard and there are some things she does that I might modify a bit but over all, its a great workout. The 30 Day Shred is about 30 minutes and it…
