Jessie and Sheldon -- THANK YOU!! I have done it and will see how this works; at least I'm not lumping everything into a group that feels out of sync and of course, I "forget"! This is FABULOUS!!! Whooohoooo ! Doin' the happy dance!!

I must say ladies and gent -- this is AWESOME! I think I've sent a friend request to each of you and it read something like this; "I'm an OA retread, just returning after a 15+ year absence. Looking forward to connecting with other OA members on MFP!! <3 Terri in Petaluma, CA" I was extremely active in OA from 1990-1996…

Hi -- I've sent a couple of Friend Requests "out there" as I am a "retread" just returning to OA after a 15+ year absence. Today I've been using the tool of Writing and am in the process of defining my Plan of Eating and Abstinence. Damn, it's enough to make me want to run screaming into the street. I was in OA before for…

I use a Vegan-Certified protein shake that is brown rice, yellow pea and cranberry protein. Love it! Tastes great, no whey or soy and when I toss in my baby organic spinach and pumpkin puree (along with some raw cacao nibs) I'm good to go!

Whooooooohooooooo!! Way to go!!

Good for you for reaching out and searching out new ideas! Awesome :o) My breakfast (and sometimes lunch) consists of a Vegan Protein Shake that is rice/yellow pea/cranberry protein in either chocolate, vanilla or a combo of both; I also add in my fiber boost (12.5 grams fiber). I love to add in frozen blueberries,…

I've learned to stay away from peanuts; they are highly allergenic to many people (me included). Almonds are my nut of choice! Raw or in almond butter. I also understand that almonds are also processed "cleaner", with less contaminants than peanuts. I also avoid dairy and soy products as much as possible. Here's a pretty…

I hear you and feel your struggle. This is an up and down experience for me on a daily basis. And a lot of it has to do with the thoughts that go on between my ears. Each day -- each meal -- is a new beginning. Keep checking in, keep doing the best you can do in this moment, and you will continue towards your goals. None…

Hey there! This is the BEST place I've ever found for tracking food and/or exercise. The boards are fabulous and people are amazing! Keep wandering around the boards -- you will find inspiration like no where else!!

Depending on how long you're in town and what your travelling situation is, a trip up the 101 to the Sonoma and/or Napa Wine Country is always a great way to go! Things are gorgeous up here now --- green from all the last rains, flowers in bloom, the vines bursting with greenery. If you have allergies, just be sure to…

Raising my hand here on the night eating challenge! Since I have been doing MFP, it's been MUCH better! What I do in the evening if I'm really munchy is I keep some 85%+ cacao chocolate on hand in the freezer. Freezing it helps make it REALLY hard to eat! I also allow myself a large bowl (about a cup) of frozen…

About the only alcohol I drink (when I do) is rum, and I log that in because I'm working in conjunction with my exercise to get my calories over every day. I'm not perfect about logging, but I know that now I am much closer to healthier life choices than before MFP!

Great to meeting you gals! I've been on here since 4/23 and I am LOVIN' it!! Please feel free to add me if you'd like additional support and you really CAN reach those goals with MFP!!!
-
I look forward to motivating and inspiring the way you have just done. AMAZING!!!

You look AMAZING! Congratulations on your progress!!! Whooohooooo!! <3 Terri

That is TOTALLY AWESOME! Whoooohooooo! Congrats and keep it up -- you are SO worth it!

Hey ladies! I started using MFP on April 23 and am already seeing a HUGE difference in my commitment level. This has been the MOST amazing tool!! My goals: Continue logging food daily. Continue to add exercise into my day -- at least 5 days a week, either by doing my Wii, Netflix Workouts or walking my doggies in the fresh…

The protein powder that I use is Vegan, formulated without gluten, soy-free, and is made from brown rice, yellow pea and cranberry proteins. I love my shakes! I add in organic baby spinach, frozen blueberries and/or strawberries, sometimes almond butter, and ground flax. I also use a fiber boost to help kick up the…

Welcome aboard! I'm a newbie myself -- been on for all of two days! -- and am loving it. The community, the system -- it is a win/win! Good luck and good health!

Stevia is great, but sometimes the sweetness has a bit of an aftertaste; I avoid Splenda, Equal, Sweet n Low as often as I can and do not use any of them on a regular basis. If I "must" choose one when I'm out, I do gravitate towards Splenda. I enjoy either a cup of detox tea or coffee, and find I would prefer to have a…

Arbonne's Vegan Protein Powder -- by far the best! Protein comes from brown rice, yellow pea and cranberries. There are a lot of products already logged into the system if you do a search. I'm really sensitive to products after over 30 years of chemical exposure through photoprocessing/graphic arts. My body just doesn't do…
