Lots of fibre is also important with a high protein diet, otherwise things can get backed up if ya know what I mean. If you're having a shake you can put chia seeds, ground flax seeds, and/or a greens supplement in there and that will do wonders. And drink lots of water as has already been mentioned.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet.. but sugar free pancake syrup is BOMB.COM (ie-amazing) in morning oatmeal. I add that with almond butter or unsweetened shredded coconut, cinnamon, chia seeds, mixed berries, and egg whites. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmMMMmmMmMMMmMMMmmMmm

Yea I agree, it's really hard. My point was that we attach feelings to words which have no truth behind them. Really it comes down to emotions and emotions can change. What I do to get over these feelings is kind of have an argument with myself. Here's an example, sometimes I say these things out loud if I'm in a safe…

First and foremost: We all have fat, no-one IS fat. It is an overgeneralization with no supporting fact. No one can be fat because we all have muscles, organs, fluid.. etc. etc. I think it's important to remember that whenever someone makes a statement like "you're fat" that it is truly a reflection of their own feelings…

You're a 19 y/o male, your BMR (basal metabolic rate- the amount of calories you burn in a day without any activity) would be WAY higher than ~2300 C. If you want to gain weight try eating more like 2750-3000 calories a day. Are you trying to gain muscle or just put on weight? What's your activity level? Do you weight…

Hi! I am a pretty light smoker, like 4 cigs a day. I still want to quit though and I have gone through the same worries. What I am doing is changing my eating habits first, until eating healthy is my new habit, and then I'm going to quit smoking. Doing too many things at once can be overwhelming and lead to giving up on…

One thing that I found helped me to think they are gross is to imagine the tobacco as earwigs and the filter as bug eggs. When I see it that way, I think it's so disgusting

Yep. I've asked people to guess my weight insuring them I won't flip out at their answer and they always guess 20 lbs lighter. Even my boyfriend couldn't believe it when I said I weighed 170 lbs. I know I have lots of muscle mass which makes me heavy (lots of fat too!)

Just gotta make a change! Make the decision, think about why you're doing it, commit, and when you get tempted remember why your reasons to quit. After awhile the cravings will go away and you will feel SO much better

When people say "muscle weighs more than fat" they are referring to the fact that one cup of muscle weighs more than one cup of fat. Think of filling up a cup with steak and filling another, identical cup with oil- the steak cup will be heavier, 18% heavier in fact. So YES, muscle does weigh more than fat of the same…

Hi! I have very similar stats and I have been strength training for about 3 weeks now. I have done JM's videos (30DS and Ripped in 30) and saw results but never got through all 30 days, it was just too repetitive I think. Do you have an iThing? Like an iPhone or iPad? There are some great apps out there for strength…

You can substitute a foam roller for a couple of tennis balls in a sock as well
-
This is only an option if you can find the equipment, but using a foam roller (some gyms have them) has REALLY helped with my soreness. It hurts like crazy to roll over your sore muscles on these things, but afterwards you feel great.

Just watched it. I wish I was like the asian man and put on muscle without exercising!

Hmm if you say so. I'm all for working out and working out hard but what you're talking about I can't see lasting long-term. Hope you can prove me wrong!

Obviously this kind of regime works, as you have said you've done it, but can you call it successful if all the weight has come back and then some? Extreme workouts like that are totally unsustainable. When you stop doing them your metabolism will shut down, and all the weight you lost will come back. And because you…

I was just looking this up yesterday. Experts say that cardio before strength training burns more calories and increases the after burn as well. Pretty awesome! I found this info here >> http://exercise.about.com/od/gettingweightlossresults/a/Cardio-Before-Strength-Training.htm

Hi! This is my fifth day on the site and I would love some more friends. I'm 23 and looking to get healthy and buff, not really count calories so much as eat more veggies and healthy foods. I like to be really active with posting :)
