I could up a lot of foods...but never my potatoes! I think my freckles would fall off!

Excellent post! I know there are faster ways to lose, but I don't often her of people who accelerate their weight loss .....and KEEP it off!

I had a group of fifth graders estimate my age once as a way to practice their Roman Numerals. The youngest guess I got was XXXVII. I was horrified because at the time, I was XXII! Kids are kids and sometimes lack perspective! Let it be "water off a duck's back" and roll on off.

Shop at Aldi if you have one nearby. This morning I got boneless chicken breast for $1.79/lb, sweet potatoes 3 lbs for .89, oranges 5 lbs. (I think?) for .99, kiwi 5 in a bag for $1.19, etc., cucumber for .50, etc.

Feel free to add me. I've been on here a while. I am back in the work force for now as my kids are 15, 17 and 19, but I was a stay at home Mom for many years!

Welcome aboard! I have lost weight on weight watchers over the years...but I've also lost a lot of money to them. I appreciate the added features of MFP ....and the cost savings!
-
Many thanks, guys! Your comments are encouraging!

Great topic! I am 5 foot 5 1/2 inches. I started MFP in May 2012 weighing 225 pounds after seeing this picture. Both of these pictures were taken this weekend. I am about halfway to my goal. Currently at 192 pounds.

I agree with other posters....any foods will look gross if you mix them altogether! And you can make some really bad choices at McDonalds. But you also can make some good choices. I don't eat there often, but I sure won't rule it out for a future meal.

Awesome progress! Be proud....and keep it up!

Feel free to add me. I am the mother of three (now 15, 17 and 19) and am also on this journey for the last time!

Another way to look at is that you have been through 20 days of emotional chaos you haven't gained any weight. That in itself is a victory! You are recognizing your emotional eating. That is step one. Now find some positive ways to deal with it and tighten up on what you are eating. It takes a while to get a train…

Thank you Big Sparkles and Hulagirl! Thank you on behalf of my daughter too! I am blessed with two lovely daughters.

I get emotional just reading about it! Way to go! What determination! You *can* do anything you put your mind to....
-
That's quite an accomplishment....both losing all the weight and cleaning out the closet! Enjoy refilling it with newer, smaller clothes!
-
YES! That is an awesome change! You can post a new picture every day as far as I'm concerned. Be proud!!

Find ways to exercise during your children's activities. For example I sometimes walk or run during my son's baseball practices....as a bonus, there are sometimes other parents willing to join me! Also, work in as many exercise opportunities in your workday as possible. I usually park a couple of blocks from the courthouse…

You're getting there! Awesome job! Keep it up!

Wow! Great progress! Keep it up!

Great progress! You must be tall because your "after" picture looks nowhere near 234!
-
Swim, little fishy, swim. At least until you're in better condition and other forms of exercise aren't so painfuL!
-
That. Is. Awesome!!

Whoo Smokin'! Way to go!
