How long have you been a member here? At 71 posts I assume not long? Either way, some of your replies I've seen have been on point!

My wife had her concerns when I decided to start tracking and losing but she's very self conscious. I think once she realized I wasn't going anywhere, she laid off. I do want to look good for my wife, but mostly I want to look in the mirror and like what I see. Vain, and I don't give a single Shhht.

I've even logged my birthday which is one of my free days, I'll eat til I'm sick and later on think "It's really not that hard to remember what all I had." I'll log it then Lol when I see how far over I am for that day.
-
It find it easier from a mental standpoint to watch my intake over a week's time instead of per day, so not logging the weekends would personally screw me up. I'd recommend logging everyday, even if you allow yourself to free eat on the weekends, log it, it's educational if nothing else. One day you may not have an app to…

Spew. Please stop saying spew, unless you just opened your soft drink and it is, in fact, spewing.

^^Understandable. I figured out how very few people IRL actually GAF about calorie deficits and such when I joined here a few years back. I would talk to people about how great MFP was and they just wanted me to go away.

Lol. It's great to see your self imposed forum ban has been lifted. You are hilarious!

Darn. How bout negative surplus? Huh, huh, that should be a good work around.
IN
@smittybuilt19 @yoovie - Think my boss would go for a negative surplus in my budget?
Doubtful, however it does sound pretty sweet, but then...wait a sec.

Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on a gray Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah Now that your rose is in bloom A light hits the gloom on the gray.

It's just like every other day of the year in that it should involve moderation. That sounds nice don't it? lol. I have serious self control issues over the holidays. I do keep telling myself, moderation, moderation, but it is truly difficult. Capt_Apollo's approach (see above) is one I had never thought of. Start a new…

Always start your jogging intervals slow. It will feel too slow, but you'll be glad you did as you work into the groove especially in the later weeks of the program.
-
I'll throw my personal experience in here. I was never a runner, period (it's probably one of the things you'll hear the most about the program). I detested running, it was tough, made me sick, and I felt like I was dying. Long story short, I was running a 5k after nine weeks of this program. It. Simply. Works. Always take…

Dopeitup - Thanks for posting the video, great watch.

That's what I'm thinking. Simply a training aid.

I'm going to ask this in relation to staying tight in the core and for no other reason. Would there be any upside to me trying a belt, only as something to press my belly against just to get the feeling. I wouldn't use it for long as I don't want to use a belt for work weight (personal preference). I think I've heard this…

I always squat below parallel. If there is one thing I put zero thought into it's am I going low enough because I know I am. That being said, I do see the lower back rounding (had not noticed it before). Is this something, depth, I should retrain while using lighter weights? Or do I just need to work on hamstring flex?
-
I had almost forgot about the constant compliments and reminders of how well I was doing losing weight. That also goes away during maintenance, except for a few random comments from folks who don't see you often.
-
There's a high to losing. I felt no high trying to maintain. I'm back up about 20lbs and having a heck of a time losing. I personally had no maintenance strategy and it shows.
-
Bracing has always been an issue. I feel like I take a deep breath into my belly but sometimes I think I subconsciously let it go during the descent. It seems that when I focus on keeping a tight back and full belly one or the other always disappears throughout the movement.
-
The more I review it the more I see my butt rising and elbows going back. I've started 5/3/1 and light on purpose, so I should have a few training cycles to work out these issues before it gets heavy again.

Now that's a quick response. I didn't feel it during the lift but when watching it does appear that way. I was focused on several things today: fewer steps out of the rack, chest up, elbows under, stay rigid. I may have not even been thinking about pushing knees out.
