This^ However, cardio is not necessary. I know tons of people who do NO cardio and have great abs. With that said, cardio is great for overall health and should be done in MY opinion. Cardio helps burn calories and adds to your current caloric deficit, therefore helping you lose weight. Cardio or not, make sure you adhere…

^^ True! It's crazy how before i was aware of nutrition and how to monitor what goes into my body i was totally unaware of what was really "healthy" at some of these places.

When eating out, as long as i can get a mixed greens or spinach salad with grilled chix breast(2) and dressing on the side (i don't eat it) the menu can have toxic sludge and I'd be ok with it. However, on cheat days... I'll eat anything!

To cut weight, I switch to 50% Protein/30% Carbs/20% Fats to lose weight but retain as much lean muscle as possible, while adhering to a strict calorie deficit. EDIT: Everyones goals are different this is just what I do.

I subscribe to leanbodylifestyle on YouTube. He has all kinds of videos for b'fast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Great resource if you are looking into healthy meal alternatives. He's got some great protein bar/snack recipes. I tried one, and although I put a bit too much almond milk in and wasn't able to make a true "bar"…

You need to be on a calorie SURPLUS to build muscle. Plain and simple. You may look more fit and tone on a deficit, but your body needs the excess calories to build muscle.

Yes, it exists. GNC has a version as well as isopure and some others.

Go ahead and put a scoop in your smoothie. You'll get the same amount of protein consumption and a taste that you will like better. You may also try adding something to your vanilla shake like a banana. I've done that and I like the taste. Or try another flavor of protein - strawberry or chocolate (my preference).

Chewy Chocolate chip and Chocolate Peanut Butter for the win! Although my favorite has to be Chocolate Peanut Butter.

I've seen variations of Macros when bulking but most often I've seen a 40/40/20 split (protein/carbs/fats) or a 35/50/15 split. You'll need high carbs to bulk.

I second that. I like the Maple Vanilla and Choco Peanut butter the best. Takes some time getting used to but good nonetheless!

I eat a slice every morning for b'fast. Started out with Cinnamon Raisin, now eating sesame. Both very good.

2 scoops chocolate whey - 1 frozen banana - 2 tablespoons of PB2 (powdered peanut butter) - few ice cubes - about 2 cups water... DELICIOUS!

What brand of Whey protein is it? Some types are better digesting than others. I had issues once with the same thing - feeling bloated after my shake - then I switched to a Whey isolate (GNC). Most of the lactose is removed from Whey isolates so its easier on the stomach. I use Wheybolic extreme now from GNC, but the…

I found that what works for me is being consistent with what I eat for lunches and dinners week over week. My meals are not the same day to day, but every Mon-Fri i know exactly what i will eat before hand. For example, every monday for dinner i wil do a whole wheat flatbreat pizza - no sauce w/fat free cheese. Tuedsays…
