  • ditto. it isn't only about WHAT exercise but also your effort. this range ^^ is where my HRM lands me each time.
  • AWESOME progress Sarah! Great job with making the decision and sticking with it. :drinker:
  • POSTING FOR CHERRYQB AS SHE IS COMPUTER-LESS AT THE MOMENT :flowerforyou: cherry weighed in at 190.6 for a loss of 4.4# - 1% met and exceeded :drinker: (I forgot to ask if she logged everything - my fault :ohwell: ) she DID find "poster-buddies" and she has been informed of the challenge for the upcoming week  we…
  • team up challenge: met :drinker: weightloss challenge: prev. wt 219.0 CW 217.6 for total loss of: 1.4# GOAL loss: 2.1 .... I missed my target by .7 # This makes for a VERY irritated me :grumble: Everything got logged :frown: While I am happy to NOT be stuck at my previous weight for another week, I was hoping for a…
  • THIS^^^ OMGoodness!!! I am SO happy I am not alone in thinking this! While I LOVE supporting and encouraging people, the motivation and work has to come from you. I am more than happy to keep you accountable, encourage & support you, help you with ideas, be a sounding board - anything you need from me if you want to add…
  • This ^^^ While I don't say anything and it isn't a judgment of HIM, I personally get nauseated by it because of the AMOUNT not the food.
  • Its too bad you have to put up with the bullying from anybody, but family and friends (who should support you no matter your choices) really are difficult to handle :frown: You are always welcome to add me to your FL if you wish - I think we are on different times completely, but support knows no time ( I will just have to…
  • THESE!! ^^^ Also, don't get discourage if you have a day or even week that are difficult or things don't go as "planned". THis is real life and a real lifestyle adjustment. THings happen, plans change, and you learn to adjust. Don't give up when/ if results seem slow - slow means you will be more successful at keeping the…
  • or me! LOL THANK YOU!
  • I was thinking the same thing as Smile - what does your protein look like? Also, not exercising as much will lead you to not losing as much. You aren't creating the deficit you were before.
  • LIFE HAPPENS. This is about changing your lifestyle - not a "diet" program. Its about learning to deal with these things as they occur and getting back on track again. So you had a bad few days. Get up, get moving again! Just take a walk - who says you need to run? JUST MOVE. Get back into logging your food, EVEN THE BAD…
  • First, you should use your starting numbers and your feelings about them as motivation to get you exercising and eating right. Other people can inspire you and motivate you but only YOU can do the work in the end so if you don't "feel like it" or want to, you won't. Take a good long look at where you are starting, get a…
  • Excellent job on getting your family to join you! I, personally, feel not enough parents take that step and it can have negative effects on their children (Mommy's "dieting" AGAIN type thoughts). Again, great job and congrats on your progress!
  • Motivation comes from outside sources - that won't get the work done. The work is when motivation is nowhere to be found and you're running on habit, determination, and dedication. SUPPORT, I can give  You can add me if you would like a new friend for support, ideas, a sounding board or a diary review.…
  • Hello! Welcome to the "club" I agree. "Healthy" doesn't always mean wheatgrass and tofu... it can be as simple as finding healthier versions of the foods you love or just plain having LESS of them at a time. Take small steps at a time (for example, first concentrate on adding water too your day and/ or getting…
  • I don't hide my "diet" because its a LIFESTYLE for me - I have food allergies and people know it so why can't I eat healthier choices and let them know it? I am not telling them I don't "approve" of their choices, I just don't want those choices for ME and my health.
  • In the past, my husband was in no way supportive - I think that's why I "failed" so quickly. THIS TIME, I don't know what the turn around has been, but he has been my biggest supporter through it all. He is forever telling people how proud he is of me for sticking to it and losing all that I have. He even got me my…
  • I WAS in this same position not too long ago. All you can do is sit down and TALK with him and spell it all out for him - no TV going, no radio, nothing else in the conversation, NO DISTRACTIONS. Tell him how important it is to you and, even if he chooses NOT to participate, you would appreciate his support by way of: dot,…
  • A heck of a load you've been dealt. I agree, in that your attitude and willingness to fight this thing is what will get you through. You and your family are on my prayer list. Fight with all you've got and you ARE going to be fine.
  • THIS. You need to make the decision that you are worth it. None of us can do it for you as much as we'd like to. The REAL work begins when you start losing the motivation. As above, make it a HABIT so you won't have to think about it - it becomes natural choices and actions. It doesn't seem like "work" so much.
  • a girl I work with used to sell this crap - need I say it DIDN'T work for her one bit! she spent TONS of money in it and no longer sells it.
  • Nope - nothing personal, I just need something you just don't have
  • THIS! ^^^ You have to decide if you really want results and work for them or not. Someone can take you there, but that means nothing if you don't want the results bad enough.
  • I love a nice veggie curry - there are a ton of recipes floating in cyber space. I like mine really spicy but there are milder ones out there :D
  • first, if you think you've injured yourself TAKE A REST DAY or two. Do not keep going if you've injured your leg. Second, as with a lot of others, the "lagging" happened to me too. I did HIIT cardio before the 30DS but its a whole different ball game than straight up cardio. I hurt, I had trouble making it through for the…
  • I've read it - I didn't find it to "successful" for me. I've found it was too limiting in an already limited food world (I have gluten and dairy allergies). It actually limited many of my substitutes that I use. You might find better luck with it though
  • Love this!!! LOL I'll have to remember this since my face goes red all the time when I work out!
  • Amazing difference and such a good role model for her family!! :D Congrats to Mama :D
