  • I'm sure someone must have said something already, but I didn't read the responses... But even if the side is high on the bra, they should NOT be stabbing you or causing discomfort UNLESS you are wearing the wrong size (which many of us do unless we have a real professional bra fitting, as opposed to that joke of a fitting…
  • Solution to the debate: All those who like M&Ms better, send me your leftover Reese's. All those who like Reese's better, send me your leftover M&Ms. Chocolate + peanut butter is best, and I'll take your leftovers and have lots of both. :flowerforyou:
  • Check out their website and build your own sammich before you go so you know what the calorie and macro will be beforehand. I personally get a Club with tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, cucumbers, and provolone cheese with no condiments on Italian bread. Funnily enough, according to their website, the wheat bread has more…

  • Not true. At all.
  • This is not new, it's just that the broscience brigade who still believe in fitness myths won't let it go. As long as you are in a calorie deficit, it does not matter when you eat your calories. I, for one, hardly ever eat my "breakfast" when I wake up.
  • LOL! I'm 5'5" tall, and I wore size 10 clothes when I weighed around 140-145 pounds. My sister in law likes to boast about how she's wearing size 12 right now, but I was that size last year...and nowhere near as big as she is now.
  • Often times, women are simply wearing clothes that are the correct size, but a very unflattering style for their body. Apple shapes wearing low rider jeans, for example. Even if you are a size 10 wearing size 10 low riders, your apple body's muffin top is going to be peeking over that waistband. I think some women just see…
  • When I am changing my size, and before I get to my goal, I end up buying clothes at the Good Will or other consignment shops. You can get a lot of stuff cheap, and when they don't fit anymore, give them back for someone else. There's no good reason, IMHO to buy a new wardrobe every time you drop a size.
  • No matter how far underweight you are, if you are underweight, then you should definitely not be dieting at all. With your doctor's help, I suggest slowly increasing your calories until you are maintaining your weight, and then slightly more than that so you can slowly and healthily gain weight. But dieting when you are…
  • I keep track of my personal numbers including TDEE. I make sure to eat 15-20% lower than that number daily by weighing food and cooking at home. I exercise, doing weight lifting and cardio. I have patience and don't freak out when the scale goes up every now and then.
  • Are there any laws in your town about keeping dogs on leashes or at least contained in your own yard? If so, call animal control and see if they can take care of the issue without hurting the dog. Owners who have to pay fines often do something to fix the problem.
  • I tried it once because the cardio kickboxing instructor had to work late on his other job and the Zumba instructor filled in his time slot at the gym. It was fun, but most of the time I was trying not to fall down. I guess some people just would rather not run, do kickboxing, do the step mill, etc...and some people just…
  • I eat more than 1500 when I am cutting. What is your TDEE?
  • I didn't wait until I was at my goal weight. I was already teeny tiny and didn't want to be as flat as my husband. I had my surgery last September, and it was the best decision I have made for myself in a long time. The first week of recovery was painful, but for the next month it wasn't bad at all. I was back to the gym…

  • Yes, they use broscience. And just because it is "broscience" does not mean that it does not work. It is simply one way of doing things with anecdotal evidence that it works for them and others who do it. It is not "THE WAY" to do it as others do it differently and achieve the same or similar results.
  • The answer is simpler than you think, OP. Just get your calories in and it doesn't matter when you do it. I typically eat 3-4 times a day, but have in the past just had 1 meal or have gone up to 6. It doesn't matter as long as the calories are the same.
  • I love my One. I chose it over the Flex because I didn't want to have to wear a bracelet around all the time. Plus, I like the display on the One that shows you everything if you scroll through. The Flex display is just a series of lights that shows you how close or far away from your daily step goal you are. I've heard…

  • <---- averages 1800 calories everyday and loses weight and fat consistently every week. Find out your TDEE. Multiply that number by 0.80. That is the number of calories you should shoot for each day. Chances are, since you are exercising regularly, 1800 is closer to right than your lowball current goal.
  • I think this website will probably censor the name of the store... But I am a 32DDD and I go to ****'s Sporting Goods and just try on what they've got available. I haven't got any complaints about the Reebok, Nike, and Under Armour ones that I have bought. They are not expensive compared to many other brands. ETA: It's…
  • My fridge is chock full of veggies. I like to dip them in sauces, fill them with peanut butter or cream cheese, or juice them. I also like to bake things like cheesecakes or brownies made with protein powder and without loads of added sugar or flour for tasty and healthy snacks.
  • Or non-exercisers. People who lose weight without exercise have lower TDEE numbers causing the percentage lower to be closer or even under BMR.
  • This. Most people get the wrong idea about IIFYM by going to the website with the same name. They also get the awful idea that you can eat a bunch of "junk" food while skimping on the healthy stuff while doing IIFYM. Set your calorie goal to a moderate deficit and set your macros to healthy levels. You will see that you…
  • www.juicerecipes.com That is where I get most of my ideas. I log into MFP using the whole amount of what I use. For instance, this morning I had a drink made with 1 beet, 1 apple, and 2 carrots and I logged the exact weights of those items in a recipe for my diary. Juicing is a great way to get your nutrition from your…
  • I'm not buying into the propaganda. That's why I enjoy cow's milk.
  • I agree with what was said above. In the past, I have done crazy things when I got back from vacations such as lower my calorie goal, do extra cardio, etc...and all that left me feeling tired, still fat, and just plain bad about myself. But, if I just go back to doing exactly what I was doing before the vacation started, I…
  • It's my personal opinion that TDEE-30% is fine for obese individuals, TDEE-20% is fine for most others (about 20-30% body fat for females) and then TDEE-15% if you are a female under 20% body fat. This is the general rule that I have been following and seems to be working well for me.
  • There's nothing wrong with cow's milk if you are not sensitive/allergic to it.......... Fresh fruits and veggies, lean cuts of meat...just track your calories and macros and remember to never demonize foods and that fat does not make you fat unless you eat too much of it calorie-wise. I eat cheese and peanut butter all the…
  • Meal replacements don't teach you about proper nutrition and calorie manipulation. Once you start eating real food after losing the weight, because you haven't learned about calories and nutrition, you will gain the weight back. Statistics show you probably will gain even more than you initially lost. Eat real food and…
  • You'll never know what needs to be changed if you are not honestly and accurately logging your food.
