I'm sorry, but where are the "really gross" pictures? I don't see any in your OP.

+1 Pregnancy doesn't matter. Getting to a low enough body fat is what matters. Some people use pregnancy and especially C-sections as an excuse to never get to a low body fat...mainly because they are ill informed and think that ab exercises galore will get you there even if you have 25% body fat.

Nothing to worry about, it's not fat gain. It's just water retention, and yes, it does cause you to bloat and increase your measurements and weight. Some ladies don't experience this, but the vast majority of us do. It's normal and quite expected.

False. I've never spoken to an American customer service rep on the phone who was actually an American...

It doesn't ruin the protein. It may become denatured, meaning it breaks down into the amino acids...but you are still getting all the same amino acids that you would if weren't denatured, and your body would break apart the proteins into aminos anyway. I had heard the same myth as well, and after researching the topic,…

I typically eat between 1800-2000 calories and consistently lose fat. When I am not exercising, I cut calories back to 1500-1600 since my TDEE for those days goes down to about what I eat normally on exercise days. I use to eat around 1500-1600 AND exercised all the time and couldn't figure out why I stalled. My deficit…

It honestly doesn't matter as long as you are consistent with when you weigh in. I've personally noticed, however, that my weight tends to increase slightly the day after a workout but also tends to decrease the day after a non-workout day. The amount of change is really...and I mean REALLY...minimal, so I just stick with…

I use my juicer everyday and love it. However, I also eat whole foods and get lots of protein, fiber, and fats from those whole foods which I can't possibly get in the juice. I juice because I simply *love* the taste of my juice recipes, and I have even juiced veggies that I think taste rancid on their own (celery, for…

I've never thought it tasted like chalk...more like thick sour cream to me, lol. I add 1 full scoop of chocolate protein powder and sliced strawberries. It tastes like a chocolate mousse (with strawberries, of course!). I'm going to have to try some of these other recipes, though. I'm always looking for something new to…

1 week is ***NOT*** a plateau. Weight loss is not linear. Just have patience and keep doing what you are doing, because by losing 16 pounds, you are doing something right.

Are you serious? You can't find it on here already? The cauliflower police need to visit you obviously.

Different ladies react different to different meds! I only say this because you will get a lot of responses about what certain ones did for them, but you may not have the same experience. In fact, yours may be opposite of what you read from others. I personally can't use ANY birth control that has hormones in it because…

Congrats on your success, OP! Next time, though...please send me all your sodas, chips, and cookies as I have personally lost a lot of fat by NOT trashing such items, but rather incorporating them into a well balanced diet where I meet my calorie goal and macro minimums without depriving myself of anything I like. But,…

I lost a lot of weight by being really strict and rigid, but when I loosened up the reigns, I gained it all back (this was back in 2008). More recently I have learned better, and I am currently at a lower body fat than I was back in 2008 (even though I weigh more, probably because I hit the gym and I know I gained some…

I personally have a glass of wine or a beer 2-3 times a week, but I stop at ONE glass of wine or ONE beer. I save room for those calories so I know that I am not going over. I also drink lots of water to keep hydrated otherwise. There are days (like once a month or so) where I will have more than just one and will get…

I didn't read all the comments...but I am sure that you got 6 pages of people telling you he's not obese. Alcoholic maybe, but not obese... I feel sorry for your boyfriend since he has such an overbearing and controlling girlfriend who masks her own prejudices against overweight people (albeit only slightly overweight)…

This. I screwed up my knees doing Insanity a few years back, and I can still feel it when I push hard through squats and deads, although those exercises help me and have strengthened my knees again. I still do Insanity workouts OCCASIONALLY as a cardio workout maybe 1-2 times a week (never in a row on consecutive days) but…

If these workouts are your only 2 choices, then I would go with BBL. You can make it more intense by changing out the resistance bands and even buying new ones since the workout only comes with 3 light resistance ones. Also keep in mind that it is mainly for endurance and not muscular strength since you are doing a ton of…

One day I just forced myself to go. I liked it so I kept going. I liked the results, so I went more. I don't know what else to say about it, other than I stopped making excuses and just went.

The advertisements show amazing transformations to get you to buy the product... The people who had those amazing transformations had dieticians creating their daily intake which was carefully watched and monitored while exercising daily with the program and never missing anything... Just like any other program, you will…

You can find strength training under the cardio list and add your calories like that. You do burn calories strength training, just not as many as a cardio session. Not sure why MFP placed it under cardio, but that's the only way you can log calories burned on MFP is with cardio.

I typically pre-log a week's worth of food in my diary because I have a lot of recipes that I like. Then, I will make my grocery list from the logs and only buy what I need to make those meals. It saves me time and money doing things this way. My diary is pre-logged this week everyday from tomorrow until the weekend.…

I think we all go through this. I have this crazy thing I do in front of the mirror every single day (kind of like how some people step on the scale everyday) and I pose and "prove" to myself that things are changing for the better. It's just crazy mind games and nothing more. The easiest way for me to win this little mind…

You can find free downloads for P90X on the internet if you look hard enough. You could also look into Supreme 90 Day which is a $20 rip off of P90X.
