There is lots of stuff going on this week which means a lot of dinners out at resturants with friends!!! Oh well, I can put my best foot forward adn keep going :)…
  • I did week three run #1 yesterday and that three minute run nearly killed me. I was not expecting it to be quite that hard but once you do the first one the second one doesnt seem quite so bad. I am looking forward to improving on my run from yesterday Wednesday. I hope everyone else has a good run today too :)
  • Woo hoo, I did the shred level 1 today. i went out yesterday and picked up a set of 3lb weights because teh 8lb ones i was using were wayyyy to heavy for the last circut on level one! These 3lb ones were wayyy better! I also did week three run number one of the couch to 5km running program and HOLY CRAP the 3 minutes of…
  • Wow...I need to get back to the shred tomorrow. Today was a day of heavy cleaning of the house from top to bottom :( God I hate cleaning all day! Im so tired I can barely move...which resulted in pizza for dinner and DQ for desert! I loved my cheat day but I am looking forward to getting on track for tomorrow morning…
  • I was sooo not expecting it today but I am so excited for it! It is such a motivation for me to keep persevering....and the best part is that I only went over my day by 272 calories including a drink afterwards with friends! i thought that was DEFINATE control and improvement from a few weeks ago lol! the ring is so…

  • I am soooo looking forward to the shred again tomorrow.I havent done it this morning (as I had to go into work super early) or yesterday, but tomorrow morning Im back at it. i also try and run 4 days a week and so far I can see a small difference as my clothes fit a little loser (not much yet, but I have faith hehe) It…
  • wow, I like the sound of a shred group starting August 1st. I just started it last weekand man does it feel great! I really like how easy to follow it is! • Oh my goodness. I have started getting up at 5am when my boyfriend leaves for work and then I go for a run (still doing the learn-to-run thing  ) and then doing a work out video (the 30day shred) and in the last three days I have noticed my energy coming back up and my depression slowly getting better :) I am so…

  • So i weighed in and have not lost any this week. I am still weighing in at 246lbs but i also fell off the wagon all weekend ( well actually the last 2 weeks) so this week I am back at it hard core. I got up at 5:30 and did the Couch to 5Km week 2 run and then the 30 day shred by Jillian micheals before going to work at…
  • OH MY GOODNESS....this thread is soooo positvie and motivating and I cant wait to read it each morning to motivate myself through the day. Thank you for starting it.....its awesome :)
  • Actually the calories were given BEFORE i factored in exercise which is CRAZY. i had opted for losing "one pound per week" when I set up my profile on here, and I just went in and adjusted it to aiming for 1.5 lbs/week and it dropped me to 1700 which is a lot better I think. I will probably still have some trouble but its a…

  • I have to say, I really enjoy the classes. Any class that I have ever taken has offered a varying degree of difficulty. If you arrive a couple minutes early, you can usually talk to the instructor and mention what you struggle with. If they know ahead of time what members are working with, they are usually really…

I am on week 2 of the couch to 5km and my shins have been killing me and the last time i ran i realized i was running on my toes more and I will definately be trying the calf and toe raises to see if that helps out too. • I have a question about this. I have never really been arunner before, but I started the couch to 5km a couple weeks ago and have been having some problems with my shins. I know there are shoes out there that are geared towards simulating bare-foot motion while still being a shoe. i know nike makes them so is that…
  • so I started week two today and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for calves. I was running and they were KILLING me. They felt stiff and i couldnt even finish all 90 seconds before they were really hurting. Is it because I havent ran since Thursday of last week? Im so confused. I dont like giving up but it was…
  • Hi Everyone :) I just finished week one but will probably do the run one more time on Saturday as Im away from home and this I can actually do away he he. I was just wondering if anyone has any pain in their shins. I dont think it is shin splints, it could just be the weight on my legs but I wasnt sure if anyone else…
  • you could try under armour. i have one of their bras froma year ago and its two layered but built as one. its not constricting but very supporting. i love running in it, and i also horseback ride in it all the time. the only thing I can offer beyond that is that underwire sports bras are not a great choice compared to the…
