Pass (more like run), sorry lawn gnomes scare me.

I have been struggling with my motivation since May. It can be really hard and disappointing when things just don't seem to be working. Lose weight is hard, keeping it off is hard. If it was easy then no one would have this problem. Keep in mind how far you have come, not just how far you have left to go! Beyond that…

My thighs are fat and rub together and if I don't hold on at 2.8-3.5 mph my leg i can trip over my own feet. Going slower or fast it doesn't cause the problems.

I was at least to some extent like this. I have a bad shoulder, a leg that I broke and was never set correctly. A dislocated knee and ankle that I tore all the ligaments in both of which didn't heal right. Every time I started exercising I bombard by pain from at least one of these injuries. about 60lbs of my weight loss…

I use the Jlab which very similar to this. It is nice that there is no cord to deal with and the charge lasts a long time.

Not a problem :) I started really trying to lose weight in Jan 2012 at 270 lbs (5'3"). At 28 I was suffering with the fallout from numerous previous injuries. A broken leg that wasn't set right, a Dislocated knee, and and ankle that I tore all the ligaments. None have healed correctly. I also was developing arthritis in…

I am almost there! I would like to wish you and anyone else joining you good luck, Keep in mind it is possible to make it to 100 lbs. There will be hiccups along the way, not everyday or week will be prefect. Some will be down right awful. DON'T give up, that is how you will make it!

I had a similar problem. I started losing weight in Jan 2012 and managed to lose 70 lbs on my own. But i knew I needed to start lifting to keep up my weight loss and improve how my body looked (loose skin sucks!). I had no idea how to start or what to do. This was compounded by the fact i have multiple bone, joint, and…

Buy a HRM and try it and see. That is about the only way to be sure. My guess is you are under a lot more mental stress which can make you feel more exhausted than physical.

I agree, go to a dentist. They will be able to determine if it is TMJ. I have had TMJ all my life and I have a case bad enough they want to do surgery but I won't let them. There are a few things that can make TMJ flare up or make bad cases worse. 1) Avoid hard/chewy foods until it is better (peanut brittle and taffy BAD)…

I use the runtastic pedometer on my smart phone. It calculates calories (based on height and weight) and upload the calories burned to right to MFP. It has 5 different sensitivity settings so you can adjust it to figure out what is needed for you. What is nice about that is sometimes what i'm wearing affects the number of…

More muscle will mean a higher metabolism. Higher Metabolism will help you burn fat faster.

I keep myself set at sedentary and I try to count all calories I burned. I use a HRM for my actual workouts but I don't want to wear the chest strap all day so I use a step counter for my work day or running errands. The step counter I use is the Runtastic pedometer app. It links with MFP, there is a free version and the…

I eat something high in protein about an hour before working out (200-300 calories). Eating too close to working out can cause an upset stomach. Then I eat something else within an hour of working out, again high in protein (200-300 calories). The second meal I eat is low in fat because supposedly fat it more readily…

So I will post mine Highest weight: 275lbs Starting weight: 180.6 lbs Current weight 184 I was put on some horrible meds and for awhile was up 10 lbs, so I'm honestly happy to finally be moving back in the right direction.

Replace some or all of your eggs with egg whites. This will give you more protein for the calories. You could try Greek yogurt Here is a recipe I use for a faux pancake breakfast Daily Chef - 100% Liquid Egg Whites, 1.5 cups Quaker Oats - Original - Oatmeal, 1.5 cup dry Spices - Cinnamon, ground, 8 tsp Jif - Natural Creamy…

I agree. I massively feel off the wagon this week and really need to find my motivation and willpower again.

Causes you to gain in several ways: water weight, increased appetite, insomnia and it is artificial cortisol :grumble:

My Doctor/Trainer told me stupid advice. They don't know what they are talking about right?

I need the rest more than I thought. I have fluid built up in my ears. It is extremely painful and throwing of my balance  My doctor put my on prednisone, which is know to cause instant weight gain

I have a coworker that used to do stuff like putting donuts, cake, chocolates and other temptations on my desk. He wasn't trying to throw me off my weight loss, he thought he was being funny. Finally after a donut was put at my desk I went to him and told him in a firm voice "Please remove the donut from my desk or it is…

Wow, that is definitely a challenge. I will see how I do this week, but I am guessing not very well. I have a week off from challenges with my trainer so i'm thinking about taking it a little easy so I can jump into next weeks full force. I don't know who won yet but I wanted to share what I have accomplished in 16 weeks.…

I haven't read anything that is going on. Can someone please tell me exactly what I missed? Also because I haven't read anything I'm going to tell the OP to do what 90% of the people in the thread already advised.

all liquids count as water right?

For me personally. I started in a size 22W (and honestly they ere ready to bust at the seams) I am just now able to wear some size 12s. This is huge for me as I have NEVER in my adult life been this small. I honestly never thought I would be here so for that I am grateful. I am much happier with my body, but still feel…

I'm not losing any weight, Please could I be retaining water? Of course if you check my diary you will see that i am A) not tracking or B) ate an entire large pepperoni pizza and a couple cups of ranch dressing with my buffalo wings.

Most likely water weight. When I first started I dropped 10 lbs in one week. I didn't do exercise it was just a monior change of diet, and a huge change in the amount of fluids I drank. Before I started I NEVER drank water. I drank pop and coffee and that was pretty much it, and it was maybe 30oz a day so not much fluid at…

I finally had some weight drop today! I have been fluctuating between 180.4-186 all month and I was really frustrated considering i was 180.6 at the end of march. Today 179.6. YAY! I don't remember the last time I was this weight. According to my medical chart from my clinic I was 188 in dec 2002. This was after my first…
