I spray them with oil. Add salt and cumin and maybe onion powder. Shake them every five-ten minutes. Hot oven. Baking sheet.

Just remember, it took a while to gain it, it will take a while to lose it. Don’t rush the process! Slow and steady gives you time to learn better habits.

My son graduated college, and I don't hate the pictures of me :)

If you go over your goal a little bit on any given day, it won't make much difference (especially if it is just a little bit). If you are trying to lose at the pace of a pound a week, MFP sets your allowance at -500/day. If you go over by 200 calories, you're still at -300/day and you will still be losing...just at a…

I haven’t tried this (since I feel meh about peanut butter) but some people seem to like the peanut butter powder, which has less fat and maybe would be a flavor satisfier.

Great advice above. Also consider whether you are just in a "rut" or whether the lethargy is actually a sign of clinical depression--in which case, get help from a therapist, doctor, or other professional.

Things you don’t have to make? Or things you can make in advance?

I agree that fizzy water (plain, flavored, or add a small amount of juice) might help. But also, given all of your new allergies, seeing a dietitian/nutritionist might help. You may have cravings that are related to deficiencies in foods. And obviously your diet has recently had a *radical* shift so it might be helpful…

Well, first of all, I think it's ok to stick with a few vegetables that you like or can tolerate, and maybe experiment with different ways to prepare them. There's nothing wrong with sticking with apples and broccoli. My favorite way to cook vegetables is to roast them in the oven with a little bit of oil (I use olive) and…

It could also be that if you were just recently diagnosed with celiac, that in fact your body is healing. Some people lose weight easily before they are diagnosed because their bodies are not absorbing nutrition well and food goes right through them (w/o adequate digestion). Your gf diet may allow your body to be healing.…

I love seeing your updated exercise tracker. Look at all the progress you have made!

For triathlons, it turns out that bicycling speed is much more important than swim speed. Maybe you should try yoga or Pilates as I think some things about the core strength you develop could make a big difference. Also have you checked out the book Chi Running? There are lots of good injury prevention tips in it.

I have an aversion to mayonnaise. In general though I have been working on learning to like some foods I previously didn’t like. Often successfully! For instance it turns out that I thought I didn’t like all olives. But now I know there are many different types and some of them I really like.

You might ask for a referral (if you need one) to physical therapy for pelvic floor therapy and help with other complaints PT works for.

My doctor recommended the DASH diet. Cutting WAY back on the sodium made an immediate difference in my blood pressue. Mostly I cut out chips and other high salt foods.

Please keep posting on this thread so we can check back and see how you are doing? I love your workout plan.

Cut out added sugar.

These are the ideas I really like: 1) swimming. Even if you just float a bit you use a lot of muscles; 2) asking to see a physical therapist (the pitch to your doctors is so that you can move more); 3) adding just a few steps a week; 4) the videos people have suggested. I'll also add that there are a number of youtube yoga…

Well, first of all there are several types of lentils. I like lentil soup, try red lentil (Mediterranean) style or brown lentil, which is more of a stew, with carrots, onions etc.. There are these tiny French lentils (I forget what they are called) and those are nice to add to salads. Using the brown lentils I also make a…

I used to keep it private. But then I realized I like looking at other people's diaries (sometimes it gives me ideas) and turnabout is fair play, so now mine is open to friends.

Would it work to give yourself a time after which you won't eat? ("The kitchen is closed after 8 pm" or something like that.)

I'm having that problem too. Good to know it's a known IT problem.

You may find some good support on the community boards here. There are some discussions going with people who have 100+ pounds to lose. And is your daughter interested in supporting you? What if you just try to add/change one habit at a time. Start by logging your food, or start by only drinking water/coffee/tea. Or by…
