  • Perfectly safe! I eat this all the time, and they are wonderful. Here's how I eat it: Separate the cauliflower into florets and blitz (in about 3 batches) in a food processor to turn it into "rice". Heat up a couple of tablespoons of coconut (or whatever fat you like) in a large frying pan and sweat 3 minced garlic cloves…
  • I'm 5'8" and 152 and I wear an 8. My friend is the same height and weight, and she wears a 12. I truly have no idea what the deal is, because her waist is smaller than mine and I have a straighter figure, though I have a longer waist and a bigger butt. What really baffles me is that, depending on brand, wear an…
  • Married for 11 years this October, very happily so!
  • I can never find anyone in a similar boat...so let's see! Age: 36 height: 5'8" SW: 165 CW:151.2 GW:140 (or lower depending on feel) Also, mom of 2 grade schoolers, and recovering from health issues (its complicated, but now I have a SUPER restricted diet)
  • Yeah, people not understanding does make it tough. My husband is super supportive, but his family thinks I'm exaggerating, which is very irritating. Right now my primary problem is that I feel hungry all the time (just started logging again so perhaps I'm not getting enough calories) and that many of my feel good treat…
  • No no, they CANNOT treat my parasites or bacterial infection with an antibiotic because of the candida. Yeah, that would be crazy!!! Thanks for checking!!!!!! Perhaps I wrote that down incorrectly initially.
  • Thanks so much for your reply. I can't tell you how encouraging it is to talk to someone in the same boat. I feel as though I have been abruptly tossed out of the world I knew, and I'm so surprised by this feelings. I had taken for granted how integral the types of food I eat are to my lifestyle, especially my social life!…
  • Like many of the posters here, I really think it depends on the age and temperment of the child. Two or three year olds could easily hurt themselves on playground equipment or wander off. When they were that age, I would play with them on the playground just like you describe. Now, they are 5 and 7, and we are working on…
  • Austin here! Best city in Texas ;)
  • No matter what, don't make yourself a plan to weight back. For me, I donate clothes that I'm not married to, get the clothes I really love altered, and I keep 2 or 3 basics in only one size larger so that if I do get a touch a heavier, I don't have to be uncomfortable or naked while I reign it back in.
  • I agree with you!!! (Am I the only one here?) This weird thing happens for me when I count calories, and I end up eating more restaurant and processed food simply because its easier to keep track of it. The counting of it all also seems to make me eat more, beacuse I end up so focused on numbers and less focused on how my…
  • Oh. My. God. You look fantastic!!! You literally look about 15 years younger too! I wouldn't be surprised if you actually added 15 years to your life with all the changes that you've made. Way to go, buddy. Way to go!
  • I have since this question asked many times before and I've concluded that it's one of those things that is different for everyone. I've tried both, and I prefer to have my settings on moderate to account for the normal activities in my daily life, and then add in exercise that I do. Right now I am experimenting with…
  • thx will! And my 9 was meant for you...this thread moves fast!
  • You've gotten a lot of responses here to dress in a way that feels comfortable to you, and that is certainly sound advice. In addition to that, I want to address your point about if you would look like you were grasping or seeking attention. I pay close attention to this myself for how I dress and I pay careful attention…
  • You are a puppy who knows what's up!
  • Just to be clear, I know connectivity is not your specific issue of concern hear, but I bet this would work for a dry body as well.
  • I had an issue with connectivity with an old chest strap, and I found that using petroleum jelly (vaseline, whatever) worked great. I would apply it directly to the strap, then wet it, then put it on, and never had any more problems with it. I reapplied the petroleum jelly for each use.
  • Thanks for posting!!!! Very well written; full of facts and not of judgement. I appreciate that!
  • I have an abnormally fast HR and have NO issue getting to 187. In fact, I struggle to keep mine lower than 200, and I'm 36 with a healthy BMI. My cardiologist says that people are just different, and I happen to be on this end of the spectrum. These things (220-age) is a guideline of what you should try not to exceed, for…

  • I am similarly active at certain parts of my day, and I have experimented with setting my lifestyle as sedentary and counting all activity and then setting it as moderate and not counting the walking around bits at exercise. For me, the second option has worked out better (you might consider setting yourself as active).…
  • One slip certainly doesn't ruin you. Perfection is a completely impossible standard, and you should aim for a lifestyle that includes "slips-ups" or better yet "ocassional indulgences". You might want to augment your diet and exercise changes with some therapy to change whatever mental habits are currently challenging you.…
  • You know, I find that there is hardly any expression out there that one can publicly make (in the form of words, dress, car stickers, lawn ornaments, hobbies, website affiliation...etc, etc, etc., ) that won't irritate somebody, or even a group of people. There are 7 billion of us on the planet now, and none of agree on…
  • had 'em before! swallow caviar?
  • Oh, a people use them with strength training as well.
  • For me, MFP is WILDLY inaccurate with calories. I"ve not heard this at all about HRMs. In fact, the primary reason that I use my HRM is to determine exactly how many calories I've burned. I even went to far as to have a test performed on me at my fancy gym that measures your CO2 output (you wear a special face mask while…
  • sorry - serves 1 at 500kcals. Sometimes I eat half of this for a small meal, but usually finish it off by the end of the day.
  • Fry 2 strips of bacon til crispy. Blitz 1 stalk celery, 1 carrot, 2-3 cloves garlic, handful of parsley, red pepper flakes, and some fresh rosemary stripped of the spring in a food processor, then saute in the bacon fat (having drained off excess until only 2T of fat in the pan) until veggies are softened. Toss in one can…
