  • Liquor is always well appreciated at these things, as are handcuffs. Though, if you're going the sexy route, you also can't go wrong with something like the Kama Sutra, or a couples book for improved sex life that are available at Barnes & Nobles, if you want to be more refined. Best vibrator in the world is the Hitachi…
  • pilates is awesome for this!! The right instructor makes all the difference. I would start out with a real class rather than a video since proper technique is so important.
  • I was invited to a party to meet a blind date. I didn't hit it off with my date, but I did with a late-comer to that party! We've now been married 10 years, and the ditched blind date was kind enough to be a guest at our wedding.
  • While kids can be blunt, I wouldn't take a child's appraisal of me as a wake up call because who knows why they say what they do sometimes. We never use the word "fat" as a negative word in our house, and our kids use it in a neutral way - "Mommy I love your belly because its fat and warm" or "Don't poke me in the heiney…
  • That sounds pretty awesome actually. Impressive! Way to go!
  • Don't know what your weight loss/gain history is like, but for me once I am solidly out of a size, I keep only my very favorite pieces of the larger size, just in case. I pack them away in a storage box in the garage, and then donate the rest. That way, if I sneak upwards in size I have an outfit or two to wear as I double…
  • From what I know of my extensive use of supportive foundational undergarments, there is no way that it can help you engage your core. Do pilates for that. However, it likely will make your clothes look better, if you think you need that. And 90 bucks sounds about right, sadly, for something that'll work well. You want to…
  • Good luck to you!!!
  • I don't think its physically possible to ever have thighs that are the circumference of two hands wrapped (you must be pretty tiny skinnylove) but I when know when I am thin when I no longer have this muffin top!
  • ooooh! Another one!! (fancy again but sex on a place in my opinion) salad greens torn up prosciutto chunks of fresh mozarella 1 peach, cubed dressing is olive oil, lemon, salt, and crushed red pepper. You MUST try this at least once. You must!
  • Here's my favorite salad (btw - I keep all ingredients chopped/sliced/or otherwise ready to go) baby lettuce greens cucumber sliced into half-moons yellow summer squash sliced into half moons thinly sliced red onion (rings chopped into quarters) sprouts (alfalfa, bean, broccoli - whatever kind is great) grated carrot…
  • You look awesome!! You can definitely tell that you are working hard. In fact, not only do you look smaller, but a little younger as well I think. Keep up the great work!
  • I find it pretty helpful to eat more protein and fewer carbs. I've started off by exploring the paleo diet (in its many incarnarnations) which stresses eat no processed foods, and no grains or beans. That leaves meat, eggs, fruit, and vegetables. I tried that for a bit, bu tit was too extreme for me. So, I eat a…
  • What's one more cupcake gonna do? I'm 30. If I buy this on sale, then I'm SAVING money, right? I'm completely over my ex. My children bring me nothing but happiness. The check's in the mail.
  • I'm a dork.....It's Dr Who. Both the 10th and the 11th Doctors!!!!
  • I hear you lose a good amount of weight, but gain it back very quickly, regardless of your efforts. A few personal trainers on this site have mentioned this in the forums. Haven't done it myself, though. Who knows. Different things work for different bodies.
  • ooooh - get a garmin HR monitor!!!! It calculates your pace for you as you run, and when you're done with yoru run and plug it into your computer, it shows a map of where you went (including the names of the streets and everything!) and shows your overall pace, your best pace, your speed, calories burned, and any other…
  • I used to do the same thing. It is certainly true that this could be the sign of an underlying medical condition, but for me it was an over drinking problem. Disclaimer: I was tested for diabetes and thyroid conditions, as well as parasites and a few other things. All things came up negative. I later learned that your body…
  • I've heard that nutrition can be calculated over the course of a week, but I haven't done that in practice. Maybe see how you feel and how it works for you?
  • You might check out some paleo dieting websites for ideas. Again, as others have posted, going absolutely NO carb for more than a couple of weeks is not healthy and, among other things, can really deprive you of important nutrients. Too many carbs, especially simple carbs like sugar, can spike your blood sugar which leads…
  • I agree - see a professional! It could be a number of things, IT band comes to mind, but running injuries can go south so quickly. Don't run till you get the okay from a doc or PT!
  • For me, on most workouts, MFP greatly UNDERestimates my calorie burn. Until I got my HRM, I was bonking daily and was sooo exhausted on workout days. So, I think that calories burned is so individual that a universal formula for how much MFP is off is impossible.
  • Thanks all! Looks like some clear answers are really forming here. I really appreciate everyone's input :)
  • Really Aggie? That would be awesome. I'll check it out.
  • I think I may need to amp it all up maybe.... add in strength training (which I hate!!) and also run longer distances. I'm worried about overdoing it, but I've got to do something!!! The more protein idea is good advice as well... thanks y'all!
  • I've been running in Vibram Five Fingers for about 3 years now, and it has made all the difference in keeping me injury free (along with a regular stretching routine). My issue was plantar fasciitis, and that is definitely not a problem any longer. I have heard similar tales from other runners in regards to long-standing…
  • prayers sent.. _/|\_
  • wow! this looks fantastic!! thanks for sharing!
  • I would definitely add back calories (perhaps in the form of an exercise you create?) per ounce of milk produced. With my first child I produced 60 ounces of milk per day for a period of time, and with my second child I never produced any more than 20. Your calories burned really depends on you and your baby, and will…
  • I think that's a good thing.... I hope you find a job that doesn't leave you bored!
