I had problems with W4D1, I think mostly due to not hydrating enough throughout the day. As a result I went back and repeated week 3, focusing on drinking more water every day. Did W4D1 again today.............and had absolutely no dizziness afterwards! Started to get a slight headache part-way through the second 5 minute interval........slowed down and it went away! Felt really good!

Thanks! I felt really good repeating W3D2 yesterday............going to repeat W3D3 tomorrow (Friday). Sunday I'll re-try W4D1.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Where I live, it finally cooled off Sat. evening........and has stayed relatively cool (compared to the 4-5 days of 100+ temps!). When I went out this morning it was 64 degrees, not sure of the humidity but it wasn't high. I'm thinking that I just need to hydrate more in the morning before…

Thanks! And, no, I go out first thing in the morning so I don't eat anything, only drink a small glass of water. I think I'll perhaps eat a small banana before I go next time.........maybe that will help.

I quit in April of 2011.........and have never looked back! I did however, gain about 50 pounds between the not smoking and stress from work. Someone would bring in donuts or muffins, and if I was having a stressful day (and to be quite honest, most were stressful!) I would eat. I also got in the habit of bringing in foods…

Diet Snapple Peach tea and whiskey. very tasty and only 91 calories for a medium sized glass mug (if you use 1.5 oz of Jack Daniels).

I completed W3D3 this morning! Had a few times when I didn't know if I could keep going, but I pushed through and the feeling went away. Week 3 is in the books, now it is on to week 4 on Monday! :bigsmile:

I also started my week 3 today...........and it felt GREAT!! I know I had a huge smile on my face after the first 3 minute stretch, I didn't know if I could do it, and I did!! Bring on W3D2 on Wednesday! :bigsmile:

Thanks for the update! Going to go out and do W3D1 this morning. I don't really have any hills to speak of when I go out..........just a slight incline on one of the roads. Hopefully the 3 min. segments will go as smoothly for me as they have for you.

Thanks for the encouragement! I have had to slow myself down as well. When I started W1D1 I went full out because I was so pumped........and ended up struggling because of it. Since then I have been running at a slower pace (not sure of my exact speed) and it has gone much more smoothly. If I have to slow it down even more…

I don't know if there is an iPhone app for it (I use my android phone), but I use "simple C25K" it will allow you to play your own music, and runs in the background. It will beep and vibrate whenever it is time to switch from jogging to walking or vice versa. I really like it as it has a different "play" for each day of…

Well done!! Whenever I tried to run on the treadmill before I found that I focused too much on the timer on the console.......which made the time seem so much longer.

I was a little nervous as well, but I put on some tunes to keep me pumped and that helped make it almost easy! Good luck to you tomorrow!

I have been going on a bike ride with my kids on my off days. I never was one that was all that into exercising, but I'm finding that I am enjoying it immensely!

I live in northern Illinois. Actually, we are going to be warmer than Memphis for the next 2 days! I also find that when I go first thing in the morning I have more energy throughout the rest of the day..........whereas if I put it off until the evening I might be more apt to skip out on a run because I'm too tired.

I don't have plans at the moment to run a 5K race right after the program, but that might change as I get to the later weeks. Doing W1D3 this morning. So far I have been going for a short (15 min.) bike ride on my off days.

I completed W1D2 yesterday. It went so much smoother than day 1! I could definitely tell that my endurance increased between the two.
