Born and raised Downriver Rat here.

Mass Effect 3 killed almost all of my hopes of leveling my toon. At least until i finish the game 2 or 3 times anyway...

Not having Gold hurts, but i was skeptical in the beginning like that. Then once i started playing i was like...Wow, this is much better then i could have hoped for. Given the scope of what is at stake in the third game with the way they do it it makes sense for Multiplayer to be in the last game instead of putting it into…

Anyone else having the problem where they find themselves playing more Multi-player then single-player story? For me, this is not because i am not liking the story (although early on when this one thing happened that i won't spoil, i was kinda bummed), but it's because the more i play the single-player game the closer i'll…

:( don't play WoW. Now if someone did this for SWTOR...

LOL, i just realized i posted Dune. Stupid Me. Dune was a movie before it became a game, and is probably one of the first if not THE first RTS. I'm pretty sure i meant Doom, but since it's been mentioned numerous times... Of those other movies based on games listed, i think Tomb Raider is the only one that's "tolerable". I…

Agreed. I liked Andrew Ryan, and the whole underwater paradise but i welcome something similar but new. If you are into BioShock, someone wrote a book based on the events that lead up to when BioShock the game begins. The whole how Andrew Ryan why he is who he is, and the various players for the creation of Rapture,…

Will definitely be getting this. Can't wait. All of the BioShock games have been pretty good, and i have to believe this will be no exception.

Correct, taken from "They Live" with Rowdy Roddy Piper. I think he actually says it in reverse where it's time to chew gum and kick *kitten*.

I've had this for about 25 years now (i'm 37). When i was young, i had constant ear infections which lead to inverted ear drums (they would pull in due to the pressure). Afterwards the drums perforated, which caused a cholesteatoma to form. 3 surgeries later, the tumor's been gone 7 years now and the hearing has improved…

Good stuff...

I know how that goes. At the first of the year i decided i was going to play the first one, then import and play the second one all over again to get my saves in order ( i lost all of my saves during a new console switchover ). First playthrough done. Renegade, embodies Ruthless to a T. Second playthrough in progress (ME2…

I didn't play the single player mode because i don't want the demo to ruin anything for me when i actually play the full game. Seeing that multiplayer is now available to the rest of us that didn't get BF3, that's what i'll prob play until the game comes out. If i can pull myself away from SWTOR that is.. Why oh why did i…

using pet and street... Tramp Capitol. Hehe....Bow chika bowwow....

Used to play some D&D, but 4E is garbage. To me, they basically took your modern MMO, and moved it to your kitchen table. Not for me... Shadowrun 4E, Dragon Age RPG, Pathfinder, some World of Darkness, some M&M. Shadowrun is prob my favorite. With time restraints and most of my friends having families, it's almost easier…

I was recently faced with a similar issue in regards to Magic. I used to have a vast collection of tournament-worthy cards (my group of friends were heavy into Type 1, now Vintage). Bills and other interests got the best of me, and so went my collection on eBay. Pauper....this is the answer. This embodies everything that's…

The first three books were good, but they were all written by the same author. Drew Karpyshyn, who was also involved in writing for the first video game so i'm sure that helped. He knows what he's talking about. So if you like the game, you will not be disappointed in the first 3 books. As to this fourth book, i'm going to…

Something tells me that Felicia Day going on Facebook and making a plea for this didn't hurt them much either... Good for them. I loved Day of the Tentacle, so it'll be interesting to see where this goes.

I'm getting weepy from nostalgia...

Considering the wide range of people that actually play WoW, i wouldn't consider you a geek if you have an active subscription. Now if you are playing DDO...well that's a different story altogether. I do love me some ThinkGeek though...

I specifically waited for reviews, because of the author change. Glad I did. I don't know who this new dude is, but I already don't like him. The peeps over on the mass effect wiki spear-headed bioware to correct the wrongs. Looks like they succeeded. I'll wait and buy the updated book.…

Modern Family? What's to be embarrassed by that show? I hate to admit mine, but it's Fashion Police. I could care less about fashion, but I am always shocked and amazed by what they let Joan Rivers get away with saying about those other celebs. Makes me laugh. I like me some Glee as well, but I'm just a huge fan of music.…

I am not sure that xBox has anything like that. DnD Daggerdale maybe? You can find it in the marketplace.

Atari 2600. I was at my Uncle's house and he had one. He let me play it, and i was forever changed afterwards. Since then it's been Coleco Vision (with Atari cartridge adapter), NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, N64, xBox 360, and various incarnations of my PC to play the latest and greatest. I still have a…

Dune is another.

For me, it's easily the Mass Effect series. I've played the games over and over again, read the novels, read the comics, hell I even read the codex entries in each game. I am worried about talks of a Mass Effect movie though. Movies based on games always flop.

I'll be @ GenCon in August, and would love to meet up and play some board games during the downtime. Any one else gong?

I will prob go back and give it another go, but initially I didn't care for the actual gameplay controls. The graphics in the DL demo weren't that great, but I'm chalking that up to it being a demo. I was excited 'cuz I was a Curt Schilling fan, enjoy R.A. Salvatore, and dig McFarlane's designs. The story up to the point…

Mass Effect 3!!! Bioshock Infinite I was excited for Amalur:Reckoning, but after playing the demo I'm not so sure now... Did I mention Mass Effect 3?

My sister-in-law bought me the Skinny *kitten* book for x-mas not knowing what it was all about. It's an easy read in the sense that i finished the entire book in one sitting during the down time at work (although some of the chapters were easier mentally to get through then others). Extremely misleading. I basically…
