So inspiring! We haven't been MFP friends long, but I am honored to be counted amongst your MFP family! You are doing an amazing job for yourself and for your beautiful son! I am amazed at how you did the soul searching needed to determine the source of your symptoms and have reached out to get the help you needed to deal…

^^^ THIS! I took a few weeks off from running, but continued my weight lifting. When I came back to my running, I found that I had built up the muscle endurance to run faster for longer periods of time. I was starting my C25k app over and was able to easily run almost 2 mph faster during the run times than the month…

I find the evenings can be tough for me if I'm sitting around watching TV. If I start to feel 'snacky' and I don't have room left in my calories for the day, I get up and throw in a load of laundry or start dishes or something to distract myself. Simply brushing my teeth helps sometimes too. If I am actually 'hungry', I…

I LOVE that stuff! And Naked Juice Green Machine... I enjoy a glass every couple of days to increase my fruit/veggie intake. There's lots of other good stuff in there too! I don't worry about natural sugar, but I do try to keep my artificial sweetener and other sugars to a minimum. I don't have to watch my sugar for…

Awesome answer! I totally agree!!

<<<<< I love my short pixie cut! I get it cut every 8 weeks, so it never gets too long and in my face or on my neck. For a change, I let the brown roots grow out a couple of inches before I color it blonde again.

Fantastic job! You look great!

I WILL RESIST THE DISH! Thanks Marcella!

I would like to be able to show body fat % or total inches lost instead of weight lost as my main measure being tracked when I first log in. I haven't gotten on a scale or tracked my weight for a couple of months and it has been great to not feel like a slave to the scale. Instead, I measure and track my body fat % and…

Congrats! Way to stick with it and achieve your goal! Both of the trainers I have worked with have competed, so I am aware of the hard work, dedication and effort needed to get to the stage! I look forward to reading more about your journey. Wishing you continued success!

This is an awesome idea! I'm interested, but not quite ready to commit without thinking about it a bit more... I will decide soon!

There is a teacher that I've seen on PBS. Peggy Camp (I think). She has a program called Yoga For The Rest Of Us. It is very basic yoga. Because of your back concerns, I would take a couple of yoga classes at a studio or even do some one on one classes with an instructor so you can be sure that you can get the…

I popped in to read this thread only because I *knew* you'd make some sort of comment on the topic, Mr 007Bondage!! lol! I am also curious as to how they are going to translate this without crossing into the X rating. Does anyone know if they are doing a separate film for each book or are they going to cover all three…
I pictured her inner goddess business a bit like the cartoon segments in Lizzy McGuire. Bit ridiculous, really.
I thought I was the only one that did that! lol!

I found a set of cups and spoons at Walmart on clearance for 88 cents. I compared them to my existing cups and spoons (which includes a few old Tupperware cups) and they were accurate with the mismatched sets I currently have. The scale is really the most accurate way to measure your food though. edited for spelling

Not to add to your frustration, but about 3 months ago I had a 6 week plateau of no change on the scale and what I thought to be minimal changes in my body composition. Since then, I have dropped a few more pounds, but in the last 6 weeks when I added some aggressive weight training to the mix (with the help of a trainer),…

I have found the following website to be helpful. http://calisthenicsdaily.com/ I signed up for the email newsletter, it offers great workouts that can be done at home using your body weight. I like to change things up a lot, so I rarely do the workouts three times a week as suggested, but it is a great little workout when…

I'm currently starting a small theatre production company, so if you win the lottery, you are welcome to invest in my production company. (However, I am definitely looking to grow the company and eventually produce Broadway) I'd buy a small jet and finish getting my pilot's license, buy an apartment in NYC, finally buy my…

This is a great idea! I have a friend that I is working to get down to a size 12 and plans on wearing some of the great dress pants that no longer fit me! This is what I do too! I work in a corporate environment and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on clothes that I am going to 'grow out of' fairly quickly.

Congrats and much success to everyone on their NSVs! I recently passed the 20 pounds lost mark and decided that since I was shifting my workouts to include lots more strength training, I was going to no longer focus on the scale as my measure of success. My NSV goal is to reach 18 - 20% body fat by the end of the year and…

Totally inspiring thread! Thanks to all the amazing and successful lifting women who posted inspiring photos! I'm just getting back into lifting and plan to have some awesome progress pictures of my own in a few months.

I know how you feel, I got picked last for kickball a lot in grade school... You could nominate yourself! :flowerforyou:

Woo hoo! Congrats on your angry troll back! I love your statement about being more concerned with how much weight you are putting on the bar instead of the weight on the scale! Getting to that point on your fitness path is an awesome gain, so congrats on that too!
