March challenge was good and I just made my 60 miles! I'm going to try for 60 again in April - but haven't made a good start through being too busy! Only 3 miles done so far!

Well, I'd just typed in a really well-thought out post and then I went and lost it all by hitting the wrong key! I'll just say hello - welcome to April - and I'll return here tomorrow and try again! It's getting late!
-
Final day - managed the final 2 miles to complete the challenge - that was close! Thanks for the challenge - looking forward to April!

Exercise - walking as much as possible - my main exercise 'equipment' are my dogs - a walk whatever the weather! I have a fitbit to count my steps and keep track of my exercise - any pedometer would be helpful to you. I've downloaded the C25K podcasts on my phone and am moving from walking to jogging (slowly!). I'm also…

Mine arrived yesterday! Tasted really good after a three mile walk in the snow! 13.5 g isn't large but just enough to be satisfying without making you feel you've been too naughty! Just what I need to take on walks and day trips! If you struggle to give up chocolate it might be just the thing for you to try!

Another 3 miles walked today - it was really pretty in the snow! Fitbit said 25 floors equivalent done too! Now only 2 miles left for tomorrow! MA in UK

I've just revisited my very first post on this thread to see what I set myself... My goals for March are: to log food intake daily and honestly (no cheating!) to walk at least 60 miles in March on top of daily activity (dogs will love that!) to keep water intake up to laugh and keep positive to finish knitting my jumper…

Nearly there - 2 more days in the month and 5 miles left... will I do it? I hope so MA in UK

Hello all Well done to all who have registered weight loss or inches loss this week. For all of you who are having struggles - good wishes are sent over the wifi for a better time ahead! I love to read all your posts - they are a huge encouragement that this is a journey walked with friends all over the world. We had a…

I'm in too - found the March challenge very helpful!

Hello all - not long got back from a walk in the snow with daughter and dogs! We did some jogging on the snow covered playing field and it was hysterically funny - there were drifts where our wellies got stuck! We did laugh at each other. Today was measurement day and I've lost another 10cm - well chuffed! Son (19) home…

Hi all - as I thought, today was a 'snow day' so no-one at school - officially - but I went in to finish the job as the computer gremlins had been eradicated by the engineers! I did get to leave once I had done the important bits - so was home by lunchtime! Watched daytime TV! But did use the flexi-bar to help tone the…

Dance as if no-one is watching! (or in my case Zumba when no-one is watching! - Sat am before the rest of the family is up!)

Wow! I take one evening off from reading the forums and we start a third 20! Weeping with those of you who are weeping and rejoicing with those who are rejoicing - isn't it good that over one 24 hour period we can touch every emotion under the sun (or snow) between us. And reading the posts we can touch each other's lives.…

Hi again The display is mainly based on the obedience that we do in the silver and gold classes - but some of it synchronised, some individual. We wear yellow or blue polo shirts and so the display works as two teams. We also have some dogs that do doggie dancing. Once we have our gold certificate we work on all sorts of…

Hello everyone - it seems to take longer and longer to catch up with the posts that I run out of time to write my own!! Hope everyone with Irish blood had a good St Patricks Day - that anyone from Wales is enjoying the 6 nations win! Today was a new start for me - I did week 1 day 1 of the C25K programme so that I can run…

What a great inspiration - I did my W1D1 today - and this is just the boost I need to encourage me that I have started on something that works! I am planning to do a 5k Race for Life this summer - so thank you for such a good post. Hope your toes recover soon.
-
Hi everyone - I don't do competitions with my dogs, although we do fun agility every week - to keep fit! My daughter and I help at a dog training centre and we are in their display team with our two doodles. During the summer months we do displays at fairs, open days and charity events almost once a fortnight - we are just…

Another extra 7 extra miles this week! Wow that makes me half way there!!!

I am planning to do a Race for Life this year too and have just put the C25K podcasts onto my phone to start to do the training - I start tomorrow (or today as it's now after midnight!). I would like to be able to jog/run at least some of it as I walk that distance most days with my dogs - so the challenge will be to do…

My sister has just challenged me to do the 5K Race for Life in July - I haven't even tried 0.5K - so I have decided that at the weekend I will start on the C25K - I think there is time for me to get to the point where I won't disgrace myself on the run! Having read your posts it looks like there are quite a few doing it at…

Hello all - since reading about abstainers or moderators (thanks for that post thread it has been really interesting) I have been wondering which I am and have been watching my reactions! I have decided that I am mainly an abstainer from my dreaded 5 Cs (chocolate, cake, crisps, cookie and cheese) and a moderator on other…

Enjoyed the comments about popcorn. We love popcorn! I have a duck machine - we put the corn kernels into the hat to measure them, then we put them into his body and plug in. After a couple of minutes he starts to pop the corn and it comes out of his mouth! It requires quite a large bowl to catch it all. We eat the corn…

7.5 more miles this weekend. MA

Happy Mother's Day from the UK! My card from my son (who is away at uni) says 'hope you fill your day with things you enjoy' - well I have spent all day with the Duke of Edinburgh group - this morning I was manning the office at the youth centre in case of emergencies with the navigation training happening on the Chase. I…

One week in - how am I doing? Well, logged in everyday, honestly - walked over 15 miles extra so far - I've not binged on my 5 Cs (chocolate, crisps, cake, cookies and cheese) and I have kept my water intake up - but not done any knitting! I'm really enjoying hearing how everyone is doing - it's a real inspiration - thank…

One week down - 15.25 extra miles done this week. Very happy and some fantastic walks - including a walk where we saw a stag deer hiding in the undergrowth.

Labradoodles - I have 2 and they are fab!

Hi Just found this group - would love to track my goals alongside you all - what I've read sounds so helpful! My goals for March are: to log food intake daily and honestly (no cheating!) to walk at least 60 miles in March on top of daily activity (dogs will love that!) to keep water intake up to laugh and keep positive to…
