  • People just don't realize that when they eat green eggs and ham, my plain eggs and ham get greener.
  • Home Alone is a Christmas movie - it only became a Thanksgiving movie when the TV networks decided it would be on every year on Thanksgiving. Makes no sense, when you think about it. I'm still not sure why they did that.
  • Troll 2 was better.
  • I don't think they show it on TV anymore but it's out there on DVD. The sideburns alone are worth the effort.
  • I was starting to think it was just me on the 1970s Christmas Eve on Sesame Street bandwagon. :) The interview scenes with Grover and the kids are hilarious. And then there's Bob's magical piano playing, where the piano keeps going after he turns around. Epic.
  • More water. 4-8 cups is not enough, especially if you're having issues.
  • Same thing happened to me. When you're eating a greasy/high-fat diet that's low in fruits and veggies, your body can still make things work because the fat and grease are keeping things moving. Then one day there's no more fat and grease and things grind to a halt. Eventually your body will adjust. Lots of fruits and…
  • OP's point was "why do cardio when you can do weight training with a calorie surplus and add muscle?" So one of my counterpoints was "because adding muscle is not my current goal with the amount of fat I have left to lose." Nobody said doing cardio and not weight training with a calorie surplus was a good idea.
  • 1. It's good for my heart. 2. Some of us still have considerable fat stores to deplete and weight training with a calorie surplus ain't gonna get it done.
  • Very small rocks! Churches! Churches! Lead!
  • I get a kick out of it when I see something in there that's labeled "CORRECT" or "WEBSITE" and then I look at the nutrition and it's not even remotely close. Has only calories and no fat or protein totals, has macros that add up to 5x the calories, etc.
  • The individuals I know who have tried hypnosis have said that the CDs / tapes don't really do much, but in-person hypnosis can be more effective as I mentioned above. That's all anecdotal, obviously, but it's logical that a real person who can react to you and tailor the session to you would be more effective than…
  • I know several people who have had success with hypnosis, though mainly for quitting smoking. From what I understand, it works on some people and doesn't work on others. If you have an attitude of "hypnosis is fake and doesn't work", from what I understand, it probably won't work on you. It can be very helpful from what I…
  • 225g protein x 4 = 900k 100g fat x 9 = 900k 450g carbs x 4 = 1800k3600 daily calories That's a lot of calories to be taking in every day, even for a very large person. If you're not doing large amounts of very heavy weight training almost every single day, you're going to have a very hard time making progress with that…
  • I don't believe this, personally, but I've heard a lot of people say that the Smith machine is for ladies and/or effeminate men who aren't serious about lifting, because serious people would just use a bar and the Smith machine is cheating and for sissy girls and girly men. Like I said, I don't believe any of it, but there…
  • Sad songs and waltzes aren't selling this year.
  • Pretty sure I have a sinus infection coming on, so that's the excuse I'm going with today... ...probably shouldn't have lifted yesterday either...
  • When I first started lifting, my joints were really, really mad at me. Elbows, shoulders, wrists, knees, ankles, everything. As you progressively lift more and lift heavier, your joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments will all adapt and you'll notice the pain start to go away. It's also possible that your form is off, but…

  • I built my first weightlifting workouts using this website: http://www.exrx.net/ They have loads of animated GIFs to show proper form, and every muscle group is included with exercises using any type of equipment you might have - dumbbells (what I started with at home), barbells, resistance bands, standard pin-set gym…
  • The beat isn't fast enough for cardio. Or it's too fast, if you try to stride on every note. I try to put songs on my cardio playlist that have fast, steady beats, or which have steady beats that alternate from faster to slower from choruses and verses. Helps with pacing for HIIT. It's a good song though...

  • My advice would be to start simple. Try to make the best decision available when deciding what to eat. Try to plan ahead so those decisions are healthier. Try to include some kind of physical activity every day - you can start with 20 minutes of walking and build up from there.
  • The blood orange Chobani is the least offensive flavor that I have found.
  • Wait, mister, you're drinking a candle!!
  • Well, he gained 8 pounds of something. My money is on water and poo.
