I work third shift five nights a week, so I really struggled with this. I normally get about 5-6 hours of sleep a day, which works for me. I nap before work so that helps. You can do this! A 5k race is so much different than running on your own. I bet you will be surprised at how well you will do! The sideline motivation, the crowd, the rush is so exhilarating! It will fuel you.

You can always use a chair behind you and squat until your butt barely hits the chair. This really helped with me form. I was trying to go to low or straight back, etc and it would cause injury.
