Does overindulging come in any other form than Carbs?! lol ;-) Yes I'm on low carb as a rule, around 50g per day. On Friday and Saturday I did 500g of carbs (10 days worth) - lol. I'm sure that would have been a big shock to the system. As I said in my post I'm just looking for some explanation for the gain, not advice on…

There are many variables to consider. MFP does not cater for any of them. So don't believe MFP in my opinion. If your cross trainer can record your weight then it will be more accurate than anything else. The variables are time, weight and resistance on most machines.

This thread has grown very quickly indeed. Here is my list: - Feel cold, my hands and fingers especially - I can see my muscles - Old friends and acquaintances don't recognise me - People don't stop GOING ON about my weight loss - used to be flattering but now getting boring - I'm having difficulty finding clothes now,…

There's another thread also that was started today on this topic: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/865431-anyone-know-good-lower-tummy-exercises-to-tone

Because muscles need time to repair. Over exercising a muscle can lead to injury. I apply this rule to all muscle groups, but not to my abs, I rarely get muscle ache(DOMS - Delayed onset muscle soreness) from my routine on my abs, although do on other groups, that's why I feel I can exercise my abs daily. If I worked them…

Agree with above. There are many floor exercises and variations of the traditional 'sit-up' you can do. YouTube is probably a good source to see some of these exercises, I do a lot of these personally but I don't know what the names of each exercise. My routine consists mainly of 4 exercises each day: - Sit up…

Not enough information provided to give any kind of advice - sorry

You will hear from people on here who will recommend both approaches, with the pros and cons of each. You will loose weight by just watching your calories and following what MFP suggests. I started that way and then (by choice) moved to low carb and high protein. It all depends on what you want to achieve besides loosing…

There will be some amount of BCAA's in protein powders, but the level will vary a lot from brand to brand. Some brands and powders also up the level on purpose because BCAAs are needed for muscle recovery. My usual brand contains some BCAAs but I also take BCAAs as capsules as an extra supplement. BCAAs are good to…

lots of veggies (fiber)

I play World of Warcraft. Although not over past 4 months (while doing MFP) - also convenient that the game got boring, waiting on the next Patch - Mists of Pandaria. So may start playing again.

Two slices of thick cut brown bread, 1 tin of tuna in brine, 20grams of red onion and some red jalapeños. I'll be assembling it in 50 minutes time - nom nom!

Neither. drink water.

I'm not advocating McDonalds, and I do eat it from time-to-time but how exactly are you considering it "super processed"? Please explain.

Dropping to medium eggs and a rasher will reduce that value by around 50 calls. So we're down to 460 without really changing much of the composition. I think what I posted was a very generous sized portion to be honest.
-
Errr. Don't do that!
-
I have often thought the same to be honest. Maybe it's just too difficult to estimate based on the simplicity of the MFP site. There are probably many variables to take into consideration.

Well this thread got my attention. All I can say about boobs is that small ones will age better. http://www.funnyflash.com/img/funnies/submissions/245/boob%20nuts.gif

Will-power will prevail.

Radox bath ftw.

Agree

This as well!

I don't think there is any clear cut answer to this. I believe for the normal person (whatever that is) it will be a slow process. However, if you are intentionally building muscle you can bulk up on protein and do lots of strength training and you will gain muscle mass quicker.

Candy. Especially or the jelly kind - that's my vice - It's also how I managed to gain so many pounds by eating bags of the stuff.

You can get Analyser Personal scales now that measure this. They work by sending an electrical pulse in to the foot and calculations are made on resistance. These scales also measure things like Muscle Mass, Hydration, etc. But there are many ways to get measurements. The important thing to do is pick one method and stick…

Gratz! Keep it up

Just eat when you are hungry. Your body always tells you when it needs nourishing.

I tell anyone who want to listen. I find though that some people just don't. Some friends and family have not even commented on the fact that I have lost 36lbs, I can only put that down to one thing I'm afraid! But I have introduced 5 people to the site and now they are following the program - mainly work colleagues.

I think I need one as well, studied this for ages and can't not see any humorous angle.
