Hilarious! That's brilliant! I surprise my husband all the time when he comes around the corner to the kitchen and I am doing yoga moves while stirring our dinner on the stove!

Good for you! Rock on and show me! Give 'em hell!

I take cottage cheese and put it into a strainer to take out most of the whey (which you should actually throw in your yogurt or some other dish to get the nutrients from it as it is very good for you)...anyways, put the cottage cheese and some veggies you like such as shredded carrots, green onions, broccoli, etc in a…

Would it annoy you less if I told you that you are inspiring me? I was on track in May and working out, cardio, weight lifting and interval training...lost 11 pounds to start and was doing well, starting to feel like I was making progress, unfortunately my Dad broke his neck in June and we spent 90 days back and forth in…

Try different veggies. I love jicama...you peel it, shred it with a knuckle buster (that's what my Mom calls it) and mix it with some drained mandarin oranges, cumin, cayenne, cilantro (if you like it), salt and a bit of olive oil...it makes a great unusual salad! How about things like dill gherkins, water chestnuts or…

I have a pusher friend as well. She pushes because then she doesn't feel bad about what she is eating herself. I have struggled getting my food under control for many years. She is struggling also and is very unhappy with herself and her situation but doesn't do anything to change it. I am taking action and trying to…

Only 20 in six months.... How about WOW, 20 in six months! You rock!

I LOVE a routine from Maximized Living that is about 12 minutes long, yes, 12 minutes and really works! I think after 12 days I was already seeing results. Check out their website and see what you think....it is interval type training, covers every area of your body and is effective AND fast!

Way to go...you are back on track, that is what counts right? I lost 15 and gained it back again...but I am back on track as well. You can do it!

I guess a weight loss struggle at over 100 lbs and over 10 lbs is a lot different, but it is all in the eyes of the beholder because we all judge ourselves internally. I am shooting for 50 lbs as I have gained and lost and gained and lost and gained and lost the same 50 lbs over and over and over again. So my struggle is…

I'm so glad to see your post because I need some myfitnesspal friends too! I have one girlfriend who got me started and another person I might on this site, but that is it! I'm struggling lately as my Dad is in the hospital since June 9th and I am spending a lot of time sitting in his hospital room. I went out of control…

Proteins like string cheese, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, etc. I make a dip with a cup of cottage cheese, some shredded carrots, green onion, sometimes green olives, red or yellow pepper and blend it all with my food processor. It is good on tortillas (like a roll up), with veggies, crackers or on top of a salad.

Use the food database tool and the recipe builder as ways to educate yourself on things before you eat them. Once I see what calories, fat and carbs something has, it may reinforce my decision to eat something or to really think about not eating it BEFORE I eat it!

When I plateau, I drop down to no processed sugars or try to stay at least under say 35 grams with only eating certain fruits like strawberries, blueberries and blackberries which are low on the glycemic index. My body responds well to no processed sugars because what it does is push your body back into burning fat for…

I saw the word "need" to lose in the title and was curious...then I saw "want" to lose in the body of your text. Very different things. Some of the items you were planning like 60-90 minutes of exercise in my opinion would not be something you could sustain. Could you do it? Sure. Should you do it? Not sure about that. I…

Well put, the balance is key. I think we all forget that in the weight loss journey that we also have to live. We have to eat out with friends, grab a bite with our boyfriend or husband, attend a church event with food...lots of social things with food and when you start dropping down too low, you really have to be in…

Well said and thank you for sharing your information!

The flight response or fight response can gear up pretty quickly....all that adrenaline kicking in...so first, keep in mind that this truly is a chemical response in your body...not saying you can just say "it's not my fault, it's chemical"...you still have to control yourself....what I have done recently when frustrated…

It's tough, but possible. The game changes after 40 and changes in hormones. I went hard and fast into menopause at 43 when I underwent chemotherapy. In the five years since then, the belly fat has accumulated and I am very discouraged. But I will say, recently I started realizing that it isn't that I can't lose weight, my…

Are you kidding, expire? Beef sticks will be around long after the world has ended...with the amount of curing and preservatives, they will last through nuclear wars and armaggedon! I wouldn't hesitate to eat them, course I don't have the same passion for them as you do!

I keep seeing people doing this "bump" or "bump for later" what is that about?

Isn't it great how quickly you can get support and find people just ike you struggling with the same thing? Ashley, a couple of things that I saw in your initial note...first of all, you've got a lot going on, give yourself credit for all of that! Second, a short term goal like that is good, but it would be better to set…

Don't let the voices in their heads stop you from accomplishing your goal. I get a variety of comments from people in my family, but usually it is discouragement for other reasons...like you've tried this and tried that, what are you trying this time? Well the point is, I haven't always been successful, but I do keep…

I lost 45, I found 50, I lost 50, found 55, lost 50, found it again....This time, I lost 15 and gained it back. I'm sick of thinking everyday about being fat. So luckily a friend suggested this website and I am back on track...first week. You know you can do it right? You've done it. So right now, get a sheet of paper out…

You don't. You figure out what will work and in what quantities and allow yourself that. Whether it is a serving of frozen grapes (which are delicious, but take awhile to eat--which is the point) or a one serving brownie that you make in a cup for 95 calories, you figure out what you will allow youself to have and enjoy…

A pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle, but muscle is more dense so you appear thinner with a higher volume of muscle.

Belly fat burners: Monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA's)...in the flat belly book....avocado, olives, olive oil, chocolate (high cacao content)...there are a few others I can't remember....oh nuts! Not nuts that I can't remember, nuts is what I just remembered!!!
-
Try 90% cacoa...it's bittersweet, but still very good, although not sure if it is worth the fat!
