I went from a size 16 to a 4/6 (or a 2 if it's Old Navy shorts). That was 54.8 pounds lost. Pic on left is around 182 lbs, pic on right is around 135 lbs. Pic underneath is most current. 126.5 lbs

We allow for maintenance and even weight gainers. You can switch from losing to maintaining at any point.

I'm not a doctor, so don't do this without asking your OBGYN, but during my 2nd pregnancy I had to follow a gestational diabetes diet, (not super low carb, but staying within certain limits at each meal/snack) and once I started that I didn't gain a single pound in my 3rd trimester. I had gained 17 up to that point. It…

I've been "maintaining" for a while now (quotes because I'd ideally like to lose a few more pounds), and I still struggle with this. I tend to maintain by staying under most of the week and then having 1 or 2 high calorie days. My calorie goal for maintenance is set to 1590 and a lot of days I still subconsciously shoot…

We actually increased house size last term, due to the response, but we are at a number we feel is manageable and don't currently plan to increase again. As you can understand, we all do this voluntarily while holding down pesky muggle jobs as well. However, don't despair! Waitlisters do get called up to the big leagues!…

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. Several years ago I had lost a lot of weight after having my first child, and once I got to my goal, my cousin died tragically. I started gaining weight, until I had gained it all back. I just finally got to goal again after my 2nd child, and now I'm dealing with a death in the…

As spots open up throughout the challenge (people drop out, etc) we go through the waitlist in order. Spots do open up, don't despair! However, if you don't make it in this term, you'll be notified when enrollment starts for next term before the general public.

Yes, all applicants will hear one way or the other. It might take several days though.

Just reply to the PM you received from the Hufflepuff prefect. :)

Weigh ins are done on a weekly basis. The weigh in thread is open from Fri-Sun and house points are awarded each week based on overall % lost.

Eating. Glorious, glorious eating.

1.What's your goal weight. ~Currently my goal is 125, then I'll re-evaluate. 2.Why did you choose that goal weight. ~That's what I weighed in college when I felt best. 3.Do you have more than 1 goal weight. ~My original goal weight was 128. Then I decided to keep going. 4.What's the highest weight you never want to go…

Haha I am so happy to see this post. I started to notice this a few months ago when I got near my goal weight. I immediately freaked out, started googling, and then texted the thinnest person I knew to see what she said.

I still use flavored creamer, but I have a tablespoon and home and at work I use solely for that purpose. I got funny looks at work until I got all hot and such. I only drink 2 cups of coffee a day, so I'm willing to let it use up 70 of my calories each day.

Human milk contains about 22 calories per ounce, on average. So if you have an idea of how much milk you're producing, you can kind of multiply it out to see your need. The more you're producing, the higher your additional calorie needs.

I managed to get a 500 cal goal with that calculator. (TDEE if I am a sloth all day is around 1500- so it's accurate if nothing else.) Of course to do so I had to say I wanted to lose 2lbs/wk, which is ridiculous because I'm less than 5-10 from goal, and I had to say I was sedentary. I have a feeling people using that…

Do it. It's awesome. :D

There are 3500 calories in a pound. You got 190 extra calories per day. 190*7=1330. That is actually only .38 pounds less per week, but yeah, not as many calories as you might think.

Nobody has ever tried to give me free McDonald's. I need a new job.

I volunteer!

I didn't intentionally restrict calories at all until my sons were both 6 months, so they were on solids and the pressure wasn't so high. Then I did diet calories (1200-1300 for me) + 300 until I was done nursing. Good luck!

I use an iPhone app called BP Companion. It will track your BP, calculate your MAP, and you can track your weight at the time of the reading, so you can see a trend between weight and BP. Good luck!

Snickers Ice Cream bars. I make room for them often.

Congrats! This is a great success story!

Ha! I am the same way. In fact, I still have one lone Cadbury crème egg stashed in a drawer for a moment of weakness.
