  • Chocolate Milk, I cant drink it which makes me really sad but it is the perfect after workout drink, just dont buy the kind with HFCS, which is usually the store brand.
  • If possible could you quick run into a grocery store and pick up a protein bar? or buy a large apple or bannana, that would be better than going through drive thru and would hold you over until you could get home.
  • I am struggling with the same thing right now, my back/hip is killing me I dont have really have anything extra to suggest that hasnt already been posted just wanted to say your not alone!! I have a heat pack on my back as I type and that seems to help for a short time, I hope that you will be painfree soon!! It stinks I…

We all have bad running days,I had the same kinda thing happen to me a couple weeks ago went out for a 9 mile run and the last 3 miles were horrible torture I was walking and running and totally fustrated but then the very next week I went out for a 11 mile run and it went great! Running is mostly mental so…
  • It could be partly that your knees need time to get used of the pounding, try running every other day instead of 2 days in a row and if they hurt more than a pain that is annoying you shouldnt run on them at all until they have time to heal you dont want to be further injured, if its a pain that is just slowing you down…
  • I eat it almost everyday, not saying that its a good thing but I find for me it helps me keep things under control, I stick to darker chocolate probably not as dark as you are supposed to eat but, not milk chocolate, I usually buy a large bar that has squares that are about 45 calories each and just try to limit them to…
  • I can totally relate except I have the opposite problem my husband who used to be an awesome runner is currently not in shape but likes to run with me once in a while and because I dont want to cause any hardships in our relationship I always encourage him to run with me, If its possible I just adjust my schedule if I was…
  • I love mine!! Just make sure they are the right shoe for you.
  • My first one was 32 something, that was 2 years ago, I just ran another one this summer and was at 24:32. (I have ran in other races in between just not 5ks)
  • If you dont have good running shoes from a store where they fit you, I would go do that first the right shoe makes all the difference when i get shin splints I know its time to get new shoes asap, if you keep running with shin splints it can lead to stress fractures and then you will have to take even more time off, I hope…
  • Applesauce or yogurt can replace butter, and honey is better than sugar because its not refined and you can use less, you could also try agave nectar as you would use less and its a better sugar, I use organic evaporated cane juice instead of refined sugar, I also use whole wheat pastry flour in my baked goods with great…

  • My best mile time so far has been 8 min mile in a 5k that I did 2 weeks ago but since then I have noticed my training times have been going down as well just ran 10 miles the other day at 8:25 which is the fastest I have done that, I try to run 3-4 times a week a couple of 3 mi runs,a 6-7mi run and a long run 10-13 miles.
  • I am not very good at replacing my shoes when they tell you to, they say you should be replacing your shoes every 300-500 miles, I dont usually replace mine that often, I usually wait unitl I notice the tread is worn and if my feet start hurting when I am running, For $130 a pair I only replace mine once a year.
  • I don't log cleaning only because when you set your goals it asks you your activity level and so that kind of stuff would be fiqured into the amount of calories you burn per day, I do however log gardening/yardwork because that is not something I do on a regular basis its more of a once a week or every other week type…
  • mine is 2 I seem to graze through my cupboards while I am cooking dinner
  • I dont track sugar anymore either, due to the fact if you eat a piece of fruit and even plain yogurt you are over your "allowance" I think that the source of sugar does matter your body does process different sugars in different ways, refined sugars are processed much faster which causes trouble for your kidneys, blood…
  • Clean eating magazine had a recipe for falafel you might be able to get it off their website, cleaneatingmag.com
