Another vote for walking. I started in the summer walking with a friend and am now running part of the way. Make sure you find good shoes. They are worth the investment. If you are not comfortable or your feet hurt you won't want to do it. I am now at the point where there are days that I feel the NEED to get out and…

If on my weekly weigh in day there is a gain, I log it. Not logging doesn't make it not happen. I make myself accountable and move on.

Some nights it's my brain running through everything. On a good night it's my boyfriend.
-
I weigh myself first thing every morning and most evenings just before bed. It keeps me on track but I don't obsess over slight fluctuations. I only log my weight once a week.

Mushrooms! I also don't like the taste or texture of coconut.

I am single partly because I have spent the better part of my adult life as a single mom. With three active kids it left little time for a personal life. They are all now adults and I have had 3 even remotely serious relationships, including my current involvement. I can honestly say that if he wanted to change my "single"…

Agreed!

I struggle with seasonal depression in the winter. I spoke to my doctor about it as well as my concerns about weight gain with some of the medications. If I were to gain, I believe it would be counter-productive. He prescribed Wellbutrin and I have continued to lose consistently.

This...exactly! I started the summer needing to lose at least 65lbs. I doubted if I could really do it but in a little over 6 months I am just 10lbs from my goal. If I can do this, you can.

It has definitely gotten easier for me. As others have said, find an activity that you like. Also, find a friend to workout with. I NEVER thought I would enjoy running. I started walking with a friend in the spring and over the summer we increased both our speed and distance. I now do run/walking intervals. There are days…

Ditto most of the above, except that I use Steel Cut Oats. I just like the flavor and texture better. Lean protein, whole grains, fruits/veggies (fresh when possible). Local raw honey and raw sugar are my only sweeteners. I agree with Kelly...avoid the low fat/sugar free products as the fat/sugar is typically replaced with…

She pretty much squee'd when she opened the Dr. Who potato head. She actually has fallen asleep this evening watching the Dr. Who Marathon.

Honestly, I don't know what the difference is other than aesthetics. She was so excited when she opened it that she went straight to her room to make a place for it on her Shakespeare shelves. I can ask her if there are any differences.

If I weren't already seeing someone...yes.

That was my workout this morning as well...Burns calories and great for the core. I skipped the nap though.

loved but complicated

Yeah...I'd marry this man.

I was slightly under my calories for the day but way over on carbs/sugar. Treadmill tomorrow for damage control.

I have set my goal at the upper end of the healthy range for my age/height. That said, I have a second goal which is 10lbs lower but still within the healthy range. I would say that second goal is my vanity weight.

Same to you.

A "Like" option would be great.

My paternal Grandmother always said "Egad!" Cracked my daughter up every time. Since Grandma passed away last year my daughter lovingly tries to use it whenever appropriate. My maternal Grandfather called the sofa a davenport. I haven't heard that since he passed away 24 years ago. He also pronounced "sink" with a z, like…

A co-worker gave me an Andy Gibb 45. Shadow Dancing...I hugged her.

60 minutes of Pilates. I had planned to hit the treadmills at work after I clocked out but when I changed clothes I realized that I had forgotten my socks.

Barnes and Noble $25. She is going to squee too.

He is worse than a woman. Absolutely no focus. I like to go in with a plan, he just roams around until something catches his attention. It's all good though. At least he buys dinner. My daughter will love the books. She has so many books in her room that she is trying to figure out if she can build a bed frame out of book…

8 long hours later and he is done! I even picked out which Bolova watch he got his wife, but she doesn't need to know that. It be so bad if he didn't wander off in Barnes and Noble like a toddler. After running all over Columbus, he ended up getting most of his list done there. I got my 22yr old book nerd daughter…

I am 5" .5". I started at 199 lbs and was in a snug size 16. I am now at 141.4 and my size 12 jeans are getting pretty loose. I could probably go to a 10 now.

Why did I agree to go Christmas shopping for the kids/grandkids today with the ex?
