Good Shoes Run at a time that won't be interrupted (it's easier to stick to a schedule if it's a good time) You're stronger than you think, you CAN do this Quitting is not an option (you can quit after you complete it but let yourself complete your goal!) Be proud of yourself every run, whether it was your slowest or…

The first time I started running I was a treadmill lover and like you I got so exhausted outside (I was horrible at keeping a moderate pace). This time I started running outside and am having a hard time transitioning inside. Yes there are hundreds of reasons why one is easier or harder than the other but I most is mental.…

Genetics may help me gain it easier but it's the other part of my family that made me fat... The habits I developed as a kid, some taught, some learned but all were "family habits" So my family is big but I don't think it's genetics...it's habits

This! My two cents....It used to be important when people took the commitment & vows seriously. I believe anytime you give yourself an option (whether it's diet or marriage) to quit when things get hard you will do just that. Marriage is important to people who make it important. For me, it's important. Married 11 years…

Did you get the "right" shoes? My husband got the wrong shoes, got runner's knee and had to take a few weeks off. Went to the running store got fitted in the correct shoes and after the proper rest he's back running. Check the shoes!

This made me laugh:laugh: !! Even the Zombie's aren't up.....I'm going to have to use that one!

You can do it! Set the goal of not giving up till your finished. I found not setting a speed goal and only a completion goal helped a bunch!

Congrats! Running is very empowering:drinker:

So I decided to sort of restart c25k at week 5 day 1 and do that 3 days a week and then on Sundays do 1 long run. I'm adding incline to my c25k and increasing my speed. Not sure if this is my plan yet but for today it worked

I run at 5am and for a little while I went out with my flashlight but it's getting COLD. So I too am moving indoors. I LOVED running on the treadmill when I ran in my 20's (forever ago) but this time I started outside and moving inside has proved difficult. My treadmill has ifit so I can set it to go up and down while I'm…

So Friday at my daughter's Cross country meet I stepped wrong and my foot hurt.(The one I sprained) Plus without working out on Friday I put over 12,000 steps on my fitbit (I usually do around 10k with a workout if not it's like 3-5k). So my legs were sore. Forecast was rain and more rain...I almost had myself talked out…
