Hi there...I took a good look at the greek yogurt that I eat and it does not have sugar listed as an ingredient. The sugars come from the lactose in the milk...milk sugars. My yogurt is actually a sugar free yogurt, since nonfat milk is a level one food, and that is what is listed on my yogurt ingredients. Sound right? So…

We get free days?! Date: June 3rd Points Left: 49 Oh no...can't give up my yogurt!:noway: I buy FAGE Greek Yogurt, NF. It's really the only dairy I eat, aside from organic frozen yogurt. I use both in my smoothies. I'll just have to look elsewhere for foods to eliminate.

Thanks for mentioning the protein powder. I have protein powder in my smoothie everyday, since I don't always eat meat. I can't be without it.

Date: June 2nd Points Left: 53 My problem is: I can't find sugar-free yogurt! Can't have anything with additives in it. I get sick! Did better yesterday, but I am afraid I am not going to be at 100 or under this first week. I did change to fresh squeezed OJ. More expensive, but very good. BTW...my dates are a little…

This dish, "potassium bomb", sounds really good. Do you happen to know the fat content of this dish? I am in a pre-diabetes seminar and we have to reduce our fat intake dramatically to help with potential diabetes/cardiac problems.

Oh no...I lost 36 points today. Got to make better choices.

Well, it's June 1st and since I work nights I already had some stuff to eat. I didn't eat much, but some of the stuff I ate caused me to lose points. This is an interesting challenge, because it's WHAT you eat, not necessarily HOW MUCH at one sitting. I only ate a small part of a chicken dish, but I had to subtract points…

I am really going to try to give up: ice cream candy potato chips-really hard (can't eat just one!) all soda alcohol all pastry cookies and crackers pizza(very sad about this one) I'm sure there'll be more to add as the days/weeks progress, but this is my starter list.

Exercising makes you feel good about yourself!

Is that automatic, or do I have to do something special to make my diary available to friends? ( me...computer illiterate)

Thanks.

Am finishing off my last diet sodas this week. They're getting so expensive, it'll actually be a relief not to buy them anymore.

A few years ago, I decided not to eat cereal anymore because of the high amount of processing involved, and with the advice of a nutritionist opted for fruit smoothies, instead. I put everything in them, including yogurt, rice milk, oj, flax seed, protein powder. I make them with fresh fruit that I freeze, and they come…

Aha...citrus, of course.

Hi everyone... I am a nurse (40 yrs) so you think I would know better. I know the right way to eat and exercise to be healthy, but I continue to eat foods that are not healthy, right alongside foods that are good for me. I LOVE the wrong foods, and merely like the healthier foods. Annoying, but true. When faced with the…

Yep...getting off the BP meds is something I would like to do also. I take 2 BP pills and am always concerned with the multiple side effects. One of my medication's side effects is actually "heart attack." Another reason to lose weight and eat healthier. Not an easy task though, since I seem to love all the wrong foods. I…

Hi...Printed out the food file. This sounds like a great challenge, and I'm really excited to get started. I love sweets and carbs, way too much! Hard to say no- especially at work and at parties. I didn't see oranges on the list. Did I miss it somehow?

I'm a nurse, but I also have knee arthritis so I don't walk very quickly anymore. Annoying for friends and family who might want to walk with me...so I walk with my older dog. The pace is just right for both of us I also garden during the spring, summer and fall. I used to do Bikram yoga, but it seemed to take a toll on my…

I buy my peanut butter at the local cooperative. Only ingredient is PEANUTS. Still, can't have a lot or everyday...nuts are high in fat. But it's so good, and makes a great hi-protein snack. Just don't eat a lot of it.
