  • Oh, gosh, I LOVE my Shock Absorber! I'm a D or DD depending on the brand, and that bra has made exercise bearable. I cannot recommend it enough!
  • I have a Shock Absorber sports bra that I love, and my exercise clothes are from a JcPenny line called Xersion. I'm a huge fan of the Xersion tops because 1) they come in plus sizes and 2) they have a shelf bra along with wicking material.
  • I've always been the big girl of the class as long as I can remember. I think the only time I could have been considered at the skinny end of the spectrum was when I was born a month premature! I'm 27 now, and finally it clicked that 250-some pounds just wasn't okay anymore. I missed buying juniors' sizes because I could…
  • Wow! That's so inspiring! I hope I'll remember that in the future and not use my weight as an excuse ever again. "Where there's a will, there's a way," right? Thanks for sharing!
  • I tend to look more when other people comment about the amount I buy. I only shop for me, but everything is fresh and so I have HUGE amounts of produce. I don't judge (I never can tell who's buying what for whom and for how many), but I don't take snide comments well when that person only has premade/processed food in his…
  • Hi all! I'm currently living in York, though I come from the southern US originally. It's nice to see so many UKers on here! I think all of my MFP friends are in the US thus far. Feel free to add me! Everyone have a good day. x
  • I'm the same and have large arms. However, I noticed something this week. Before beginning my exercise regimen two/three weeks ago (Tae Bo, now DDP Yoga), I was weak. I had never seen my biceps--just fat. In the shower, I flexed my arm, and noticed that my biceps were visible! Barely, but there they were. My arms are still…
  • I'm the same. No kids, but overweight all my life and the "segmented" tummy. It's good to know that it's normal and that it gets smaller!
  • I'm a nerd today because... Well, for one I'm reading through this thread and chuckling while passing comments about Star Wars, The Avengers, Big Bang Theory, Harry Potter, and Black Books! (I'm so glad everyone here gets these!) Two, I lost respect for a critic who writes for Time because his last piece says that he will…
  • As others have said: YES! I bought one when I moved to the UK where recipes are mostly by weight. Since I started on MFP, I've been using the scale multiple times a day. Like others, I have trouble "guesstimating," so the scale has helped me be honest. For example, I put what I thought was a tiny amount of margarine on…
  • Love it! Thanks for sharing!
  • You look beautiful! Great job! One of my goals is to finally be able to jog for a long duration. Bravo and keep it up!
  • When I started I was a bit over 250. Two weeks in and I'm down 6 pounds with a goal of 145 for my 5'6" body. You're definitely not alone!
