I found when I weight loss, I still felt the same mentally.. I knew I'd lost weight because I was wearing a smaller size etc. Even compliments and questions about how I lost weight.. When I reach goal I'm going to hopefully be going to Thailand for a holiday with a friend.. and will be wearing a bikini sunning myself on the beach... without a care in the world. :)

No I wouldn't give up at all! Stretch marks do seem to fade overtime. Be kind to yourself :)
