Dude, I've never run on a machine in my life, but who are you to say it's stupid?? I've had friends train for the Boston Marathon on treadmills indoors cause get what? Sometimes in winter, it's dangerous to run outside. Stop judging already.

Again with the hippie/judgmental talk. Maybe some people just like their cardio. Maybe they're training for something. People here tend to assume everyone who works out is trying to lose weight. That's not always the case.

Oh heck yes!! It definitely got me through cancer testing & treatments! I'd have been a mess without it.

Everyone will disagree with me, but I consider running hills to be strength training =) You've gotten great advice. I can't really add to it other than to say I really get the desire to lighten lower body ST during running season. I do lower body once a week and try to do it the day before a rest day. I generally walk on…

standing position, one foot a time ... roll the arch of your foot so hard over a tennis ball that it almost makes you cry. Just a few minutes. Then roll that ball hard over the painful part of your shins. Do this a few times/day ... at least once before a walk/run and once after. Then do it again before bed. Trust me on…

Never do the same routine 5x/week. I used this dvd years ago when it first came out. Loved it! If you do this one and No More Trouble Zones, it will jump start a good fitness program for you. The rest of her stuff is cr*p IMO though people seem to really like the other dvds. I thought those 2 were good for what they are.

I agree. That looks like empty skin to me. I don't think there's much else to do but wait for the skin to snap back on its own which will probably be minimal. I think you're gorgeous, and you did an amazing job! No need to worry about being perfect. We all have our scars. I'm sorry about your mom. {{{{ hugs }}}} Your…

No they're not=D

Cue the people who tell her that her legs aren't really getting bigger even though she's probably aware of every inch of her own body & how it fits in her clothes. I used to hate my big thighs (I'm 5'3.5" so it's inevitable), but once I started really building them, I love them. They're the strongest part of my body, and…

Any oil on an empty stomach just before getting your blood pumping for an hour would likely produce a lovely dash to the bathroom.

Instead of watching movies, do a search here on exercising, eating and periods. This subject comes up every day.

why don't other gyms matter to your poll? Is this an advertisement for PF?

No it is not OK if her surgeon doesn't say it's OK. The body isn't healed for 8 weeks.

Plie (or sumo) squats for booty. Bridge, hip thrusts, deads, weighted donkey kicks, and get your fanny up and down some serious hills =)
-
why is it when someone asks a question, people always tell them to do something other than what they were asking? lol Get the 12s .... you'll need them for something else. If in a week or two, they're ineffective for rows, get the 15s. You'll want a complete set eventually.

This I also found that walking or running hills does a lot of good for my butt.

I've not had breast reduction, but I had plenty of breast surgeries (cancer survivor). How soon totally depends on what your surgeon says and how GREAT your sports bra is. You will not want those babies bouncing around too soon after surgery.

Women with shapely thighs are sexy. Work with it. I bet you look great.

running

There really isn't much you can do but I admire the creative spelling of the word breasts. That's a new one! I don't think they'll sag that much with only a 25# loss. Keep working.

The only reason walmart employees deserve more money is because they have to smell the people who shop there =-O

There was just a thread about this a few days ago. Hit search ... you might find what you're looking for

If they're that worn, time for new bras. I have no suggestions since I cannot fathom underwire during working out, sorry.

So what?

Honestly, do you really think someone who says, "I wish I had her calves" just sits there wishing and not doing anything about it? I wish for a lot of things in my life. Each step brings me closer to my goals. I wish for calves I may not be genetically predisposed to ever have, but I sure as heck am going to try.

Hi Laura, I'm a breast cancer survivor. I'm sorry you're in the club. Check out breastcancer.org if you haven't already =) Best of luck to you {{{{{ hugs }}}}

get off the computer and get to quick care. It's just plain irresponsible asking for doctors on a non-medical website.

Looking for a 1000 calorie burn in someone so small really begs the question why. It's kind of important.

I run the beach barefoot, and it takes a little conditioning because I do the road in shoes. But I don't run anything but the beach in spring/summer, so I'm not going back and forth. I think that might be tough. No problem with the ankles, but I do get some really nasty black blisters on the bottom of my feet from…
