I also read that MSN article. They stated that most people don't use enough resistance to make it a good workout. I do notice that a lot of people at my gym don't use much resistance and don't seem to be sweating. I put a lot of resistance on, and I feel as though I get a really good workout. As far as the best fat burning…

What helps me is to log all my food before I eat it, like for the whole day if I can. That way I know if something is going to push my over my limits before I eat it, and I can change the plan.

When you're ready to buy a new bike, check out the Gary Fishers. I test rode every bike on the market, and my Gary Fisher was by far the most comfortable. Apparently some of the models are made more for the distribution of weight of a female body. It makes all the difference in the world!

You'll learn a lot about nutrition and you'll hold yourself accountable for what you eat and how much you exercise. I'm reaching my goals, and it's no big deal to track things. I love MFP!!!

Wait a sec! I meant, the smaller I am, the less severe they are. Funny! I have a writing bachelor's and a communications master's. Apparently not worth much.

Cramps are the worst! They are just about my biggest motivation to lose weight because the smaller I am, the worse they are. Try some Alieve... and knock it back with a bottle of wine. Hang in there!

I gave up alcohol for Lent this year. Not only was I extremely short tempered after a couple weeks, but I also found myself nibbling when I would have been sipping wine. As a result, I gained weight. Since then MFP has really helped me figure out how to lose weight while drinking with just a bit of moderation. You can look…

I hear ya. It's tough. Work stress is horrible, but you can't control the economy or your company's need to resize to respond to the economy. You can however control your diet and exercise. It's a good way to keep yourself sane during tough times. Hang in there!

Forgot to mention, I do not freak out about going over on protein. I do freak out about going over on fat or calories. I am losing weight very slowly, but at 44 yrs old, 5'3", 120 lbs, and low body fat. I am somewhat close to goal weight. So losing slowly is the way to do it. I do believe in building muscle to end up with…

change your MFP goals in your profile to 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat

Change your MFP goals in your profile to 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. I would also recommend cardio every day so that you can have more calories.

I do a shot of jagermeister instead of cough syrup. It has about 100 calories and it helps you sleep. Besides, it's a good excuse to keep a big bottle of it in the house at all times.

See your doctor and ask about anaprox.

Is it birthday cake? I hate eating cake after someone has blown out candles on it. Does anyone else get blicked out by that?

I completely agree with all the health benefits of exercise, but let's just talk about vanity for a minute. Your weight loss goal is not just the number on your scale. You want to look toned and fit. The only way to do that is through resistance training. As we age, we lose muscle mass. So even if we weigh the same as we…

I'm losing weight drinking three nights a week, and I drink plenty of chardonnay on those nights. I always log it in my food space early in the day so that I can see if I need extra exercise to make up for it.

I always try to plug in all my food for the day (including my weekend wine) in MFP first thing in the morning. If I go over my alotted calories or fat, I add some cardio for the day. I do a very challenging three-hour hike most weekends, and that helps a lot.
