If you're interested in tracking your sodium, go to your food diary settings and add in "track sodium"... MFP will calculate a recommended maximum daily allowance for you... other than that a HUGE eye opener for me was reading EVERY label I pick up before I buy it... you'd be surprised on how much sodium is in the same…

I think you'll see a lot of different opinions on that... the remaining calories is what is left after you track what you have eaten in your food diary, and any exercises you track that burn calories gets added onto your normal daily minimum calorie intake.... so say your minimum recommended daily calories is 1300 calories…

A tip I heard way back when... cold foods/drinks burn more calories on intake as your body has to warm it up before it digests it. I have a question about this... MFP has me set for 1350 calories, and my doctor said I can go as low as 1200 and MOVE my body, but not to go under 1200 because my body will store instead of burn. I can't afford the gym, badly as I wanted to. I know for me cardio does not show me the results I want to see, especially in a timely manner, so building muscle works best for me. I don't stress the cardio - it makes me miserable to do it in the 100 deg plus weather, so I'd rather do short bursts of cardio at 1 min each…
