  • I joined because I think it will be another great motivator - I'm aiming to lose around 100 lbs - If I have some people keeping me accountable for exercise etc., then more likely I'll stay motivated - even when the scale is lying it's springs off - people to bolster me and remind me that the measurements and the quality…
  • you look FanTastic!!! Awesome job!
  • I'm game! Wednesdays are my weigh and measure day - I was 234 June 20th. I weigh again tomorrow. How do we bookmark this thread?
  • Absolutely FanTastic!
  • Yeah I'm noticing that I'm feeling PMS symptoms what seems like earlier - this is only my third week since last time - and over the weekend I felt like a raging lunatic (but stress mimics PMS too so prob a HUGE factor for me) - definitely the extra hungries - and cramps but no "starting" yet = I tried forcing more water,…
  • Have you tried some Ensure or PediaSure or protein shakes? that way you're drinking something light feeling for your stomach so it doesn't react and give it right back. And at least you'll have some calories and get some vitamins in, and it might eventually force your body's appetite to come back a little at a time. I…
  • Fantabulous!! You look spectacular!!
  • I've only been at this about 5 weeks - only done JMs 30DS for 2 days so far (it's a NO joke workout - especially for a beginner!) - For the past 2 weeks I kicked up my cardio with 3-4 mile walk/jogs and now the 30DS. The scale stopped moving down, but it has not gone up - even in the TOM weeks. But in those 2 weeks I've…
  • That is definitely a WIN! I was up to 42DD - currently in a 38D - high school I was a C so I know I won't get much less than that - but the extra weight off my chest and lungs sure feels AWESOME!!
  • starcatcher - you may be pleasantly surprised when you start building muscle and losing inches. I'm 5'9" and at 170 lbs I was wearing a size 8 in jeans- albeit a few years ago - I don't know what your goal is, but it may take some time to get there, but if you keep at it, it'll happen :flowerforyou: also - I'm financially…
  • I drink it, by the pot full! I haven't heard anything negative about it - but it makes it hard for me to get the minimum calories in on days I drink a bunch. seems to suppress my appetite a bit.
  • yup. it's normal. you're body will eventually readjust to your new routine. Dancers and marathon runners a lot of times don't have a period at all until they stop training years later.
  • the more muscle you build/tone the faster you'll burn off the fat - muscle burns fat even while at rest
  • you're welcome to come help me turn my living room into a bedroom for my son (1 bedroom house) ... I've been putting it off for months because the LR furniture is a beast to move by myself :grumble: I can also leave the A/C off and we can get crazy sweaty  (currently 82 deg 54% humidity @10 am) I will gladly…
  • Nothing earth shattering to share yet - 30 days today - started MFP May 21 at 250 - weigh in this morning 234 (maintained this week) - I'm seeing a whole lot more difference in my energy and INCHES lost than the weight - I've been doing strength training and walk/jogging, and not incredibly seriously either - maybe 3-4…
  • how do you know how many lbs of sweat???
  • I love this suit, and you look GOOD!!
  • I think I LOVE YOU! That's 234 lbs (@ weigh in last Wednesday) 5 ' 9"
  • well... here goes nothing - ignore the background - the only full length mirror has been banished to the storage room on the back porch for obvious reasons---- this will definitely make a good "before" pic this is L - I have not even attempted to put on since at least 2000 ETA - trying to make pic show...
  • I will try to muster some courage --- my bikinis are all over 10 years old - they were purchased in 1998.....
  • for me it was in the lunch meat and the chicken - frozen or fresh. The manufacturers are adding a "solution" - typically 3% of the weight of the chicken is a salt solution injection - to "plump it" and it increases the weight of the product, which is sold by the weight. The different manufacturers use different levels up…
  • ^^^ This... I was 34 when my son was born. I think I'm doing a much better job now than I probably would have years before that - regarding patience, knowing who I am as a person, and what I want out of life, and the values I want my son to learn by watching me as an example. I feel like in my younger years I was…
  • sodium was a shocker for me too! Lunch meat and chicken breasts and chicken tenders (not breaded) were my main diet. On tracking my foods the first week I found I was in excess 5000 mg of sod per day. Now I obsess about the sodium. I can tell when I'm pushing my limit because I can literally feel my ankles start to swell,…
  • Ditto - I had a trainer once tell me if I'm trying to lose weight to drink 1 oz per lb I weigh.
  • \ ^^ This, it doesn't have anything to do with losing weight. As I got older and dated a more variety of men, I found what I like and don't like personality wise - it doesn't always come in the package of rock hard abs - or the really nice guy that would do anything for you. It's a matter of can we have fun together, can I…
  • I accept requests from men, some of the best pointers I've gotten so far have been men, even one friend was willing to do a little research for me because he didn't know the answer to my question right off.. I enjoy the camaraderie, the jokes, and the motivation - it never hurt my feelings when a male friend said "looking…
  • I can do basic math no prob. Currently in Calculus class and totally frustrated! Even went into the tutor lab yesterday, and the example problems made total sense, then left alone to do my own homework and my mind went completely blank :frown:
  • my weights are what's in my cupboard (i.e. empty milk jugs refilled with water)... so they have flashy colors and labels ;p
