You are not hearing me, but, then again, there is no audio with this thing. You are MAGNIFYING the feelings. That is NORMAL, but it doesn't make it accurate or true. Again, these are your FEELINGS and, while important, may not have anything to do with the REALITY of the situation. I can understand being frustrated, scared,…

This. And less whining. I really don't want to be mean, but sometimes it takes a PITA to say it. Only you can do this and only if you want.
-
And don't listen to this! TOTALLY NOT TRUE.

You really answered your own question. Because you are a recovering anorexic. You are going to magnify all those sensations that lead to the conclusion of "I'm gaining weight". What is "obvious" to you is imperceptible to everyone else, and that can include the d**n scales. If you truly want to recover, you have to let…

Also, even the "healthy" ones are a LOADED with salt. Definitely not a great idea.

No starvation mode here! Even if someone is not eating what you may consider to be "enough" calories, eating more is NOT going to make someone gain weight. It is NOT going to make someone not lose weight. Come on, let's at least try to be a little scientific! Upping calories,is not going to lead to drastic increased weight…

Thanks. Appreciate your help!

I was on this for a short time last summer when I had a lumbar injection that went bad. It made me feel weird, so weird, in fact, I couldn't take it like they wanted me to take it and then I stopped all together. All in all, I was probably on it for 3 weeks or so and I gained weight on it. I never really put much credence…

That sounds like a good start, making that pact. I know how it is with kids, though I only have two. And they are older now, so we can leave them at home if we need to! Just keep on going!

If you are not losing weight, the answer is NOT to up your calories! I agree that you are probably underestimating your intake and/or overestimating your burn.
-
Great job! Keep it up!
-
You're looking amazing! Sorry, can't really help out much, except to say that I have found that it takes longer than you'd like. At least, that is the way it is for me. Then again, I'm not known for being the world's most patient person, either! Keep doing what you are doing and I'm sure you will reach your goals!

Good luck on Momday. I believe that there are many of us who will be wishing you the best. Stay strong!
-
You have a great attitude! And with an attitude like that, there is no way you will fail!
-
I wanna be like you when I grow up! Seriously, though, great job. Thanks for letting us all know there is something positive in our futures!

Glad you found the community. Unfortunately, plateaus happen and sometimes, many times, in fact, it takes trial and error to figure out how to push through it. But one thing is for sure: do NOT give up. You've come so far, just stick with it. Don't let a plateau take away your feelings of well earned accomplishment. You…

As Yoda says, don't try, DO! OK, I'm paraphrasing. You CAN do it!

I gotta agree here, no way in he** is 53 old! It can't be, not when I'm turning 52 this year. Stop looking behind you and start looking ahead of you. You gotta do the best you can to be the best you can be. Who cares if you never wore a bikini? I never wore one, and I was alway pretty slim. Just not my thing, I guess. But…

I'm getting my feet wet in the weight area as well. It IS kind of intimidating, so you should be proud of yourself.
-
Thanks. I'm not wondering why I'm not losing weight. I just hear these great things about lifting and I want to reap some of the benefits everyone is talking about! I just have never done the process and I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly and part of that, for me, is getting an idea what to expect. For instance, if…

It defies, all logic to believe that you should eat more in order to lose weight. Unless you are eating more so that you do more exercise, in which case you would net fewer calories and lose weight. I don't believe in starving yourself to lose weight (just not healthy, duh), but eating more to lose weight? Won't happen.
-
I've never had to lose that much, but I'm guessing that it would take the better part of a year. This is one thing you really should to before you get pregnant. Pregnancy is tough enough when you are in fairly good shape. It is really hard on your body. Take some time to get in the best shape you can to give both you and…

Good luck! For what it is worth, I think stress and aging kind of go hand-in-hand. The older you are, the more you have to worry about be it house, job, kids, etc. I think it takes more strength, will power, and fortitude to lose weight the older you get because everything starts turning against us! Hormones wreck havoc…

Everyone gets lazy once in a while, it is called being human. But STAYING lazy is a problem and it sounds like you've got it. I know, I've "been there and done that" myself and the only thing I could do is get over it. Force yourself! You absolutely CAN do it if you want to.
-
You go, girl! Good luck!
-
Congratulations on your success! Awesome job! Don't let anyone get you down. Jealousy causes strange behavior at times. And given that many people are insensitive and downright stupid, cut them some slack. You are better than that!
-
Good luck! It is hard to jump back on the wagon in winter ( I know because I'm doing it, too), but imagine how great we can feel by summer!
-
Please don't try this. Kerogen ice diets can be deadly. Friend me, if you like. Let's try to do this weight reduction thing in a healthy way, not a way that can kill you.
-
Yes. In my experience, you lies weight and your cholesterol numbers go down. Of course, it also depends on what you are eating, too. Good luck! I would do anything not to go on a statin. I've heard horror stories from friends who have had to be on them!

I miss my coke, too, and not diet. To show how much, true story. I was picking up my younger son from school a few years back. He had a bottle of coke, half gone, that a teacher had bought him after school. He ran up to me and said I could have it. Then his teacher came over and, in a loud voice (and lots of people…
