  • And you didn't screw up ;) we were all where you are! We live and learn <3 Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Yes, it's tough to increase the calories when the mentality in your head is screaming cut them cut them! But increase them you must! 1500 calories was most likely not enough which will be why you gained so easily over Christmas. Now you've cut them back down again, your body has plateaued. It doesn't trust you! It doesn't…
  • Absolutely! EM2WL can work for anyone! The key for it to work for you will be eating for your activity level, as obviously your burns will be way higher than the average person. You may also be able to cycle muscle gain seasons into your yearly training to try to minimise muscle loss from the triathlon training. So yes,…
  • Yeah, with the Fitbit , it's best to work from the weekly averages. I've found a big difference in the stated calories burnt when I changed from a charge HR to an Alta. Apart from the no heart rate tracker, I think the Alta is just less sensitive and picks up less steps. Good or bad? Time will tell which is most accurate!…
  • It's usually easier if you average out your calorie goal for the week so you're not eating vastly less on a rest day. I find sometimes I'm actually hungrier on a rest day, especially if I had a good workout the day before. Recovery loves food! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi @cbradley903 Welcome! If after going through all the info in the stickies at the top of the group, you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Definitely keep the strength. You can keep the HIIT too if you like it but know it isn't necessary for fat loss. If you do keep it, adjust your calories up to accommodate the extra workout. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • If the inches are decreasing and the scale is staying the same your are absolutely golden! Fat loss, baby! <3 But, you did say you added in a new HIIT session, which then increase your TDEE, which then increase your cut. Try not to through everything at your cut straight out of the gate, I know it's tempting after your…
  • Yes! Totally normal and a great sign your metabolism is revving up again. Keep going! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi Leanne Welcome to the group. Good to see you have done your calculations already. I know that much food can seem daunting at first when we've been used to low calorie. Just take it up slowly by about 100 a week if it feels too much to jump straight up. Some people get there by increasing slowly, which is recommended to…
  • Hi Yes and no! You don't always gain when adding calories at first. Don't let anything the scale says throw you off. Just concentrate on adding back those calories 100 per week. So pleased you've decided to reset. It is so worth it if you can just give yourself the time and patience. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • It can seem overwhelming at first the amount of calories to eat! Try to go for calorie dense options like nuts, nut butters, avocados full fat versions of cheese, milk etc. @Firefly0606 had some great suggestions! That way you can get the calories in without the volume, and yes, there's always ice cream! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi @HLA_LovinMe Just checking in to see how are you doing? Ichel Team EM2WL
  • You should also pretty instantly see better Crossfit workouts with more energy from the extra food. I'll chime in with the rest and say I bet your TDEE is pretty high! But adding 1-200 calories per week is just perfect! You're doing a great job. Keep us updated with how you get on. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Loved reading this! Your patience in walking the path is wonderful. And yes, taking pictures is SO important. Many times when there are no changes in scale, measurements, clothes fit etc, it's the subtle differences we see in the pictures that keep us going. Can't wait to hear how your cut goes. You rock! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • @beverlyriley900 Yes! You are doing so well. Not only physically, which is fantastic results BTW, but also letting go of the scale is a HUGE accomplishment. Well done you! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Oh MaryAnn that's awful! I can't even imagine the pain! I hope you're getting some relief now? Take care of yourself. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi @sunniebass1378 , @ErikaN84 , @rhbrand and @demorelli Welcome to the group! Yup, 1200 calories is no way to go! Check out our calculator to see how much you should be eating http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ If you have a history of low calorie eating, I would suggest you look at doing a metabolic…
  • Hi @Shellanfit and @lustilu The key to 'toning' and getting that youthful firm look is strength training. We have loads of workouts over on our website for you to check out http://eatmore2weighless.com/category/workouts/ You can get loads of information from the stickies at the top of this group. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi! Yes, you can manually change your calorie goal in MFP. While you are there, if you haven't already, you can manually change the macros to 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fat. Best way to reach your new calorie goal is to increase by about 100 calories per week, until you get there. Benefits of this way are less bloating,…
  • Congratulations! I know of a couple of EM2WLers who lifted pretty much right through to delivery. The key is obviously to listen to your body and take on advice from your midwife/doc. Like now when you're exhausted, no point pushing yourself. Let your body take the time to adjust to the hormones, get lots of rest. If…
  • I'll take inches loss over scale loss any day! Well done for getting to the end of Meso 1! It's really tough! Hope you like Meso 2 & 3. I loved M2, but M3, my true love! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Hi! Best place to start is with the stickies at the top of this group. Or jump right in and join us in the Facebook community group, link above. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Fantastic! Seriously, don't give the scale any power over these tremendous NSV achievements. Who cares about the scale when you've got all this going on! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Welcome @HLA_LovinMe I totally understand your fears. Trust me, we were all right where you are when we started. I have a background of anorexia so i really get it. Have you checked the calculator on our website to see how much you should be eating to start with? http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ Then…
  • Hi @APRocks724 Welcome to the group! I will send you a FR! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • @Jennifer_Lynn_1982 Congratulations ! You look absolutely stunning and beaming with happiness! So glad you had a wonderful day! Ichel Team EM2WL
  • Don't drop the calories. That's the opposite of what we are trying to achieve! That's the old diet mentality as soon as our weight goes up for any reason, quick drop calories! Stay steady at 2000. Ichel Team EM2WL
  • @beverlyriley900 Oh I hate that with evening meals. Just don't have any brain energy left when you get in from work to think up something. I find it's not the cooking that I don't like (I love cooking!) it's the thinking up a different family meal on the spot every day! What I started doing was a meals list for the week.…
  • Hi @mrg68 You'll find lots of support in this group! Welcome! The diet industry is set up to make people lose weight and then gain it all back! EM2WL shows a different way! Where you can eat without starvation and have a lifestyle where you never need to diet again! It's liberating! After you read through all the stickies…
