  • Yes it should be worked out as an average so you are eating the same every day. When you worked out your TDEE, it is for your weekly activity level. Often it's the day after or hours after your workout when your body is hungriest. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • Hold off from the cut! That's your old mentality talking,' ok, that's long enough with the more food, time to get down to business!' But getting and staying at TDEE for as long as possible IS the business! You are doing great. Just keep on the same track. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • Not toleration at all! I love being here and you guys ask awesome questions! I'm just paying it forward the way others did for me
  • I love this @heybales Yes, view cardio as a health workout to enjoy if you like it rather than burning calories. Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • Yes the calories at the right level should be your focus right now. Nail one thing consistently before moving on to the next. When you have that at the right level, then start honing in your macros with your focus on protein. But keep trying to get those calories up for now! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • I know, right? The more blog posts you read it's like, oh this one was written for me. No wait, this one! And this one! And so on and so on! The encouraging thing is that those blog posts exist because what you are going through is totally normal! And we have all been just where you are! I'm kinda addicted to EM2WL blog…
  • Hi Kitty We always say 'weights to transform, cardio for fun' Cardio is not necessary for fat loss. With strength training, you can increase your lean body mass which means an increased metabolism. Check out this blog post which is relevant to you as you try to each TDEE…
  • I love seeing your confidence and belief in this grow over time, Carol. <3 I totally believe in you. Ichel EM2WL Ambassador and moderator
  • You totally have got the hang of this Carol! Yes, just keep making progress with the bands. If some moves become easier, you can fold the band in half to make it tougher! Or get some new, denser ones when it gets too easy for you. Until then, just keep doing what you are doing and it will eventually pay dividends. Ichel…
  • I completely underestimated my NEAT activity when I started with EM2WL. It makes a big difference calorie burn wise. I'm super active in the summer doing lots of gardening work, walking etc whereas in the winter I do a lot of indoor projects (not a fan of the cold so don't go outside so much) It probably makes a difference…
  • Hope your fingers are cooperating! Time is flying fast for me at the moment too. Your steady, consistent approach is perfect! And it's working! Great stuff Mary Ann! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • @beverlyriley900 STS is great! I highly recommend!
  • I would increase the calories again til you try and find your 'true' TDEE, as it's all just estimates and we've established that the gain so far is most likely water retention. I was going to ask about the HIIT too. Do you love it or see it as necessary? Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • Hi @nichelle1132 Welcome to the group. If you want to read through the stickies at the top of this group it should give you a basis for what we're all about. You can find our starter kit on http://eatmore2weighless.com/faqs/ Any questions, just ask! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • @ibtmas Bulking is totally optional! Never feel like you have to do something you are not comfortable with or have to do what 'everyone' else is doing! Your life. Your rules. Most will never do bulk cycles. Eating at maintenance while hitting protein and strength training will do wonders for body recomposition. Ichel EM2WL…
  • Yes! Love your determination and positive attitude to changes! I can tell you're going to make great progress! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • Hi Beverly The cycles are important in your workout routine http://eatmore2weighless.com/periodization-key-preventing-plateaus/ You can also build your goals around nutrition how your year goes. For example, if you live somewhere it gets cooler in the winter, you can take that opportunity to eat a little more and build…
  • Hi @w1shb0ne Welcome to the group. What is your exercise routine like? Are you including strength training? If it wasn't for the numbers, what do you think of how you look/feel? The numbers of what the DEXA scan gave you to what you 'should' be are just a guide/average and might not be exactly what you have to be. Are…
  • Yes, I second trying to get access to free weights. I started my son on stronglifts 5 x 5 that is a good one. New rules of lifting is good too. Or we have a beginners strength training manual on our website http://training.eatmore2weighless.com/beginner-strength-training-instant/ As for the lower body, don't neglect it! It…
  • That was a hang over from my eating disorder days! Used a tiny bowl and a teeny tea spoon to eat everything!
  • @ibtmas Some people reduce their calories a little on a rest week to account for reduced activity level. I usually keep mine around the same as I am pretty active outside of my workouts anyway. In the grand scheme of things, it won't make too much difference. It's what you would feel comfortable with but obviously you…
  • Hi @aslanpw Good to have you here and to see you want to make sustainable changes in your life. That's what we are all about here! If the changes you make aren't doable for life, then it's not a LIFEstyle! http://eatmore2weighless.com/about-em2wl/ If you need to ask any questions, please, feel free! Ichel EM2WL ambassador…
  • Hi @ThePRLady Welcome to the group. Have you checked out the workouts on our website http://eatmore2weighless.com/category/workouts/ if you are looking to get back active? Please go through the stickies at the top of this group and any questions just ask! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • If you mean the EM2WL group then yes! It's very active
  • Love this! It's so hard not to let a gain on the scale throw us off moving forwards. Love your focus and determination! You've so got this! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • No problem. Let us know how things go with the new trainer! Ichel EM2WL ambassador and moderator
  • You're right 1500 calories is not that much. Try not to panic. 3 pounds could be up for any number of reasons. Everything you are going through and feeling is quite normal. That's why so many of us have tried to reset several times before we fully commit. It is a mind game. Hopefully reading this will put your mind at ease…
  • Hey @dejavuohlala Just focus on getting the calories up at the minute, that's the most important thing. You can get your macros to exactly the right place when you get up to TDEE. Don't be concerned about a 1lb week get gain. It's likely just a fluctuation because of the increase in calories. Just stay at your current…
  • Hi @3furballs I'm sure that your trainer will give you a new workout plan but have you read articles like this? http://eatmore2weighless.com/periodization-key-preventing-plateaus/ Making sure you keep switching things up and going through the different phases. Also, are you taking breaks? Both from exercise with an active…
