Hey Wendy! Welcome to the group. So sorry to hear what you have been going through, that's really tough. Having a goal can help is refocus our energy and hopefully you can get that here. You certainly will get plenty of help and support. Have you read through all the stickies posts at the top of this group? These are chock…

Glad you had a great vacation and are ready to get back at it! If you don't want to do a 10% cut, do a 5% one. That's totally fine, and in fact can be a better way to go rather than hitting everything straight out of the gate. Just saying! Ichel Team EM2WL

You aren't as sedentary as you think! Two very important points made above; I would recommend you recalculate your TDEE at least lightly active (you may even find you are moderate, but start with lightly active) Take a 10% cut from that to find your daily calories. BUT this also depends on several things like, how far from…

It is totally normal to not believe we can eat that much! It's contrary to everything we have been taught to believe, especially as women. Our journey stories are full of people who couldn't believe they could eat that much more! http://eatmore2weighless.com/brianna/ Yet they did! It is essential for long term, sustainable…

@mkolmfp This is amazing! You're so awesome for sticking through it and I'm so happy to see you are getting the benefits now. This is tremendous encouragement to others who are just where you were. May I share this with others in the fam to encourage them to keep on going? This post made my day! :) Ichel Team EM2WL

Hitting the macros is an essential part to long term fat loss successs. Many of us have dismissed as not being that important. I know I did! Read about it here : http://eatmore2weighless.com/lets-talk-blind-spots/ It makes a huge difference with body composition and muscle recovery.…

Glad the 20% cut didn't last long! Why would you? There's no need! Don't you love the little epiphanies that happen along the way? We just have to give ourselves the space to think, just like you did. Ichel Team EM2WL

This sounds spot on track! Well done! Ichel Team EM2WL

My memory isn't that good! It's the MFP name I remember. I'm a Geordie girl myself! :) An add on to Kelly's brilliant ideas of getting calories in: do you eat 'diet' versions of anything? Going for full fat yoghurts/cheese/milk etc can add calories without the bulk. Ichel Team EM2WL

Hi @SuperCarLori Great to see you here. Protein is definitely one of the most important things to focus on. You can do this! Ichel Team EM2WL
-
Just checking, you want to lose 15-20% body fat? What was your starting body fat %? Or you want to get to 15-20%? Just a note of caution, we can get caught up in a body fat number the same way we get caught up in a scale number. I'm not saying don't have a goal, just don't make everything about it. Ichel Team EM2WL

Aargh! My comment disappeared, sometimes I do not like this app! I was saying.......... I remember you from years ago! I like how your body wouldn't cooperate until you cooperated and gave it more food! Smart body! These blog posts are from other marathon EM2WLers so might help:…

Glad recovery is going well. Love your plan! Yes, routine really helps with getting the protein back up (I find so anyway) Great idea that you're not rushing yourself into anything. Those 4 weeks have gone by fast! Ichel Team EM2WL

You mean those strong, beautiful, powerful thighs that hold you up and carry you round all day? Embrace it! Love it! EVERYONE I know and I mean everyone, especially those with strong, nurtured bodies have thighs that touch or rub together. What's wrong with that? Who said they shouldn't? Where does that come from? Remember…

Oh me and carbs are BFF. Took me a long time to become friends with protein though. Glad your journey so far is going well. Love hearing your updates! Keep them coming! Ichel Team EM2WL

Wow. They're really neat Mary Ann! Nice work! Ichel Team EM2WL

Hey! Welcome to the group! Yup, it is shocking when we realise how little we've been eating BUT liberating g when we realise how much we are supposed to and can actually eat! Good luck with the reset. Keep us posted! Ichel Team EM2WL

Hope the new job works out well. Heavy is relative. What feels heavy to me would be light to the next person and so on. As long as you are progressing. Are you lifting more than you were 6 months ago? Then that is heavy, for you! I purposefully don't post what I lift because comparison is the thief of joy! Just do you.…

Love your goals! Are you periodising your workouts? You are waaaay active! 22000 steps! You must wear out shoes in a hurry! So glad you are figuring this out and increasing calls, decreasing cardio. Thanks for reaching out and being receptive to advice. Ichel Team EM2WL
-
Oh wow! I didn't know it went that low! :o :'( How are you finding EM2WL so far? Any positives (or negatives) to report! We like to hear it all! the good, the bad and the ugly! B) Ichel Team EM2WL

I would say even if the Garmin is off at 3500, that going for 2000 calories is still going to be way under. Have you tried your numbers in online calculators like our one (being honest with your activity level, sounds like you do a lot) http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/ as this will give you a guide too…
