  • A curry with rice during the week because it is very quick to make. The rice can take up to 20 minutes to make, but you can make the curry during that time. Spaghetti Bologna is another quick dish to make, which also takes around 20 minutes to make. Last night I made couscous with spinach, mushrooms, green beans and…
  • I love my ab wheel! I feel it in my abs, and try to do as much as I can in two minutes. It's one of the exercises I look forward to do after my lifts.
  • About 6x a week for me. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays I lift at home. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my cardio days. I do about an hour, except on Saturdays where I'm at the gym and can spend up to two hours in there.
  • I'm going on holiday next week and aim to bring my gym gear with me; I'll be staying in two hotels, so I'll be making the most of it. I'll also be doing a lot of walking and hiking.
  • I'm about 165lbs and wear size UK 10/12 for tops, and UK 12 (pushing 14 - eek!) for trousers. My goal weight is around 125lbs. When I was at my lightest weight of 130lbs, I was around a size UK 8/10 for tops and UK 10 for trousers. Really trying to get back to this dress size!
  • I work from 7:00am until 4:30pm, so I'm up at around 6:00am. I work from home, but even the temptation of not working out is still there. I like to work out in the evening straight after work. I workout at home, so I have my weights and dumbbells in places where I would be able to see them (call it organised chaos, if you…
  • @fanncy0626 you look amazing! :o
  • Hi, I'm from the UK and 5ft 2ins as well. I have a goal to lose about 40lbs, but like you, if I get out of the 160's then I would be happy!
  • Aldi and Lidl are two supermarkets that I regularly go to, because they are dirt cheap. I'm pretty much living on a budget myself and have gotten so used to it. The last advice my mother gave me before she passed away last year, was to always have bread and milk, because you can make something out of it. Get frozen veggies…
  • I'm off to Canada in mid September, but I've already planned to go hiking and maybe take advantage of the gyms in the two hotels I'll be staying in. Usually when I'm on holiday I tend to swim and walk loads. I tend to eat a lot, but only because I like to try the local foods. This time though I will try to keep my eating…
  • I'm 164lbs now...I have a long way to go, but my ultimate goal weight is 125lbs. So far I've lost 16lbs, but I'm not seeing it - yet!
  • I'm usually by myself in the gym, so I have the radio on loud and sing along to the songs. But if I was in swanky gym in the city or a bigger gym, then I wouldn't be singing along to heavy metal songs on the radio...
  • Hi from England! My fella in my profile picture is from Tipperary :) feel free to add
  • I work out at home between Monday to Friday and on Saturdays when I'm staying at my boyfriend's place for the weekend, I go to the gym near his place and then go for a 4 mile walk afterwards. The walk is lovely during the summer because it's near fields, so everything is in full bloom. I don't mind the gym because it's…
  • When people don't clear up the plates, bars or dumbbells that they've used, even though there is a sign at the gym to put everything away after use. It's not a big gym either, so plates scattered everywhere is a hazard. I don't want to spend my gym time clearing up weights! On Saturday morning, one of the personal trainers…
  • I absolutely hate running! I've tried it and even done a 10k last year and still hated it. I don't mind other forms of cardio like using the rowing machine, walking or dancing. Just no running. And I never thought I'd say this, but I've definitely found a love for lifting! I feel completely restless if I miss a lifting day.
  • 5'2 and according to my doctor this morning, I'm 182lbs, but my scales said 168lbs :/ I'm desperately trying to get to the 120lbs category, so feel free to add me!
  • Awesome thread! Such an inspiration :) I've just started lifting with free weights, after using machines and dumbbells for the past 2 months. I can't wait to see the results after 3 months when I have my big holiday. The only regret that I have is not starting lifting with free weights a lot sooner!
  • London here! Feel free to add :)
  • It started just around my birthday, when I'd been working out for a few weeks, but it felt like a chore. I worked out on my birthday and felt like I was in my early 20s again! Since then I've been hooked. I've missed a week for a family event and another 2 weeks recovering from an operation, and I was really grumpy and…
  • Only 8 days to go before I reach 1000!
  • One evening I was bopping along to Zumba in my living room and my boyfriend walked in and sat down to watch my flabby arms fly everywhere and I honestly thought I was going to die of embarrassment, but nope! He gave me some really good tips. He used to lift, kickbox, work on the family farm and play hurling, rugby and…
  • I hadn't worked out for the past 2 weeks, due to having an operation, then recovering from said operation and then falling ill! Went back to working out properly on Monday and the DOMs are still there. I dread going up the stairs all the time! I may use my brother's foam roller or walk around the house.
  • About 22.50 I'm still in my gym clothes and got mismatch socks on, but they're both from Asda. My NIN hoodie's about 15 years old and I remember paying 15 quid back in the day.
  • East London here, but I'm always around the fella's place just outside of Brentwood :)
  • Moderation is key! I love chocolate, but I don't have it during the week. I'll admit, once I have chocolates on the weekend, I don't stop at a serving. Sometimes 2 or 3. But generally it all fits into my calories
  • Normally I work out 6 days a week - except for the next few days, where I've just had an operation on my eyes and need to take it easy. Although yesterday I ended up on an impromptu 5 mile walk lol I do strength training 4 times a week, and cardio 3 times a week. After my recovery, I intend to focus more on my strength…
  • I tend to limit my drinking only to going out (club) - and that's only if I can fit it into my calories. I barely go out anyway, and there have been times when I was the sober one! It wasn't because I was a designated driver, I just wasn't in the mood for a lot of drinking. Because my stomach can't handle alcohol as much…
  • I've been on this journey for a couple of months now, however, recently I've discovered a few odd things: - I've always been able to drink alcohol till the cows come home, but after spending time with the boyfriend's (Irish) family last week, my limit is about 6 glasses of vodka and orange juice  - I can't stomach…
